With the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards upon us this weekend, it’s time for TV fans to don their TV critic’s hats and predict which lead actress will take home the golden lady for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Who will win Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series?
ABC Soaps In Depth is reporting General Hospital alum Brianna Brown will star on Showtime's new series Homeland, alongside Claire Danes. Brown will play former mid-west beauty queen Lynne Reed, who becomes a Saudi Arabian prince's "lady of the evening" and CIA agent. Brown makes her two-episode debut starting Oct. 9 at 10 PM EST.
“I was 12 when my first job offer was to be on a soap opera,” she said. “I turned it down because I didn’t want to develop bad habits.”
I wonder if Demi Moore, Meg Ryan, Academy Award nominees Morgan Freeman and Julianne Moore, or Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones feel they developed "bad habits" from their stints in daytime? In fact, I've always read and heard the opposite. Most soap alums-turned-A-listers give soap operas plenty of credit for the speed at which they tape and the amount of pages the actors are required to memorize. I'd say for any actor those are pretty good habits to develop!
