Just when things were beginning to look up a little bit at All My Children comes this news. ABC Soaps In Depth is reporting AMC is "in the process of recasting the role of Amanda." Apparently the show didn't want to wait for Chishell Stause, who is on recurring, to land another job before recasting the role.
Chrishell Stause's name was noticeably absent from the list of actors making the move to L.A. in the statement released by ABC which left many fans wondering whether or not Stause would still be in Pine Valley in the new year. Stause cleared things up in a series of tweets:
So the official statement has been released. Yes I am moving to LA, but I am not signing a new contract with AMC.
I love the show dearly but am going to try and do some other things. Hopefully I will still film with AMC but not as a contract player...
You guys are amazing and I really appreciate all your support-this show has changed my life and I will always be very grateful! -xo!
Variations of white were popular on the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet. Outstanding Younger Actress winner Julie Marie Berman chose the color, as did The Young and the Restless' Michelle Stafford, Jeanne Cooper and Judith Chapman, General Hospital's Kelly Monaco and Lisa LoCicero, The Bold and the Beautiful's Alley Mills and Lesli Kay and All My Children's Chrishell Stause, who looked fantastic. Who do you think looks best and worst in white? View the other ladies attire HERE.
The Daytime Emmy Fashion Show may have received mixed reviews on the podcast, but one thing is certain. Ricky Paull Goldin and Chrishell Stause were smokin' hot. I thought the segment was an injection of fun into the telecast and an opportunity for each show to feature a couple they wanted to promote. The CW figured out a way to zoom through seven couples and Susan Lucci faster than an As the World Turns storyline evolution. That is says something, I don't know what. As of this writing, The 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards concluded a few hours ago on The CW and I am awash in mixed emotions after live Twittering the event. I wanted to put down these feelings while they are still fresh but I promise to keep these ruminations brief.
First, let me offer congratulations to Daytime Confidential's Jamey Giddens, along with TVGuide.ca's Nelson Branco and Soap Opera Digest editor Stephanie Sloane in their debut as commentators during the awards pre-show. Though one could detect a teeny bit of the jitters at various times, they were a class act all the way. I also must give praise to DC's Melodie Aikels, who did a bang up job offering live blog commentary during the pre-show & ceremony. READ MORE
