Just what brings outspoken soap veteran Catherine Hickland back to One Life To Live? TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan gets the scoop from Hickland on what viewers can expect when alter ego Lindsay Rapapport returns to Llanview.
TV Guide Magazine: Back to OLTL. Word is, after the big prison break an incognito Lindsay makes a beeline for her old flame Bo [Bob Woods]. Does she still have a thing for him?
Hickland: It's sort of ambiguous. I'm not being coy. I really couldn't tell from the script. But, yeah, I got to work with Bob and Hillary B. Smith [Nora] and Ty Treadway a bit. For me, it was a satisfying ending for my character. I liked the idea of playing Lindsay one more time. That character has a place in history on that show, that's for sure. Though, at that point, Prospect Park was still planning to take the show to the Internet. I was happy to wrap it up, or leave it open. Whatever they had in mind.
Now we've got a ballgame! Outspoken diva Catherine Hickland is heading back to One Life To Live to reprise her role as the bitch-tastic Lindsay Rappaport. The fan favorite made the announcement via Twitter stating:
Ok, are you sitting down? OLTL has asked me to bring Miss Lindsay Rappaport to the dance B4 the end. I said YES #puttingdancingshoeson
No word on when Hickland's first airdated is slated for, or how long her run on the show will be.
Soap veteran Catherine Hickland is still steaming mad with the news of ABC's decision to yank All My Children and One Life To Live off the air. The actress sounded off on her blog and doesn't hold back. Hickland stated:
Soap actors and audiences dance a dance. We laugh together, cry together, survive together and love together. That’s what makes a family. Whenever I would hear you-know-who make a speech and call us the “ABC family,’ it made my skin literally crawl. You don’t treat your family like they don’t matter.
Hickland goes on to ask the question of how ABC Daytime President Brian Frons is still calling the shots. Hickland stated: READ MORE
Former OLTL Star Catherine Hickland: "Because Every Show Brian Frons Touches Dies, Does That Make Him a Serial Killer?"By Jillian Bowe on April 14, 2011
The actors were not even told before the press! What a class act. Too bad it's all third. What a TOOL! #AMC #OLTL. No Michael Knight on Daytime? IMPOSSIBLE! UNTHINKABLE! #. Because every show Brian Frons touches, dies, does that make him a serial killer? To whom it may concern... May your Karma be SWIFT.
Tell em Catherine!
Many of the One Life to Live cast turned out to support former co-star Catherine Hickland’s (pictured above with Robert S. Woods, Kristen Alderson and Thorsten Kaye) Christmas Dinner on December 16 in New York City. The annual event benefits the West End Intergenerational Residence. Just in time to add a little more drama to the Bo-Nora-Clint triangle, Catherine Hickland (Lindsay Rappaport) returns to One Life to Live. Soap Opera Digest has the report.
Lindsay is currently serving time for Spencer's murder so just how is Ms. Rappaport returning Llanview? RUMORS say Clint has Lindsay released to give his little brother something else to do than spend time with Nora. Further CHATTER has Lindsay and Hickland only back at OLTL for a short stint. With RJ Gannon recently back in town and the above mentioned triangle, this could be an interesting summer on One Life to Live.
