When isn't All My Children's Rebecca Budig, Rebecca Budig? Apparently when seat assignments are being made at the Daytime Emmy Awards. Look closely at this picture of Cameron Mathison and the seat he is pointing out. The name reads "Rebecca Budig" but the picture is of Guiding Light's Gina Tognoni.

I'm sure this seat sharing issue will be resolved before tonight's show or else all of a sudden there would be an entirely new dynamic to the show, celebrity musical chairs. Now that would be something I'd pay good money to see.

We've known for a while now that Cameron Mathison is becoming daytime's Ryan Seacrest.

Now TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco has published an interview with the All My Children star about his role of Ryan, co-hosting this years Daytime Emmy Awards, and his new show Your Place or Mine?

My favorite part of the interview was when Branco asks Mathison about Ryan's amnesia storyline. Check it out below.

TVG: Let’s talk about AMC for a moment. Ryan’s amnesia is thisclose to earning 2008’s Most Contrived and Non-Sensical Plot Twist. Thoughts?
CM: Thanks for being so blunt about that! [Laughs] Truthfully, the storyline was a big miss, which is disappointing because it had potential. Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown [AMC’s exiting head writers] did the best they could, but I’m excited about the show’s new direction. For Ryan Lavery, this is the most vital period in his life because if the writers can’t find a way to rebound from this [maligned] storyline, then I’ll be seriously worried.
