Could some of our fears about seeing yet another tried and true gay bullying story on soaps be unfounded? Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny on Days of Our Lives, seems to think so.

In an interview previewing his character's upcoming gay bashing at the hands of "T" (Brendan Coughlin), Smith explained why this bullying saga will be different from those before it. Said Smith:

"We're showing both sides of it. We'll see where Sonny is coming from, and where the bully is coming from. It'll be great to see people grow and mature." READ MORE
