Cady McClain and Michael E. Knight Reunite at Martin Family Holiday Party!

"Tad" (Michael E. Knight) and "Dixie" (Cady McClain) ended up in each other’s arms once again at the All My Children Martin Family Holiday Party on December 8 at Planet Dailies.  Knight and McClain were joined by their former AMC co-stars Lee Meriwether (ex-Ruth Martin), Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt), Bobbie Eakes (ex-Krystal Carey Martin), Amanda Baker (ex-Babe Chandler), Vincent Irizarry (ex-David Hayward), Terri Ivens (ex-Simone Torres), Danielle Parker (ex-Emma Lavery) and Tate Berney (ex-AJ Chandler).

Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia followed up their time as lesbian lovers Olivia Spencer and Natalia Rivera on Guiding Light with a second act in Chappell’s web soap Venice. Now it appears the pair are ready for a third act. Chappell’s production company Open Book Productions has released the trailer for its new web series The Grove.

Wishful Casting: Singing Soap Stars Who Would (Country) Rock a TV Adaptation of John Schlimm's Novel 'Twang'



For the past few weeks I've been raving about country music publicist-turned-novelist John Schlimm's soapy, fiction debut Twang. The novel about a scandalous, secret tell-all being penned about honky tonk duo The Field Sisters and Nashville royalty Thad Evans and Hope Tanner (threatening to reveal their most shocking secrets to their fans), reads like the pilot for a soap that could be called Desperate Nashville Wives. This got me to thinking, wouldn't it be great if some of our daytime soap faves—many of whom happen to know a thing or three about singing a little "twang"—be perfect for a TV adaption of Schlimm's book?
