I like her personally and she's just a wonderful person. But beyond that, we value and appreciate her point of view because Elisabeth helps give the show perspective and balance. ... So we have no plans for Elisabeth to leave the show."

By Jamey Giddens on January 28, 2013

She's traversed the globe, booking exclusive interviews with dictators, Oscar winners and... Honey Boo Boo. Now Barbara Walters is dealing with one "get" she likely would have been glad to cede over to one of her competitors. Today on The View, moderator Whoopi Goldberg revealed Walters has been suffering from the chicken pox. Said Goldberg:
You all know that she fell and cut her head 10 days ago, and then was running a temperature," says Goldberg. "But it turns out it is all the result of a delayed childhood. Barbara has the chicken pox. She never had it as a child. So now she's been told to rest, she's not allowed any visitors."
