As the World Turns, Days of Our Lives and One Life to Live alum Austin Peck has joined the cast of Tainted Dreams. According to the web series' character list,

Austin Peck is set take on the role of “Max,” a sexy, self-absorbed, womanizing, soap star in “Tainted Dreams,” a new, scripted “soap within a soap” set to blow the lid off the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of producing a daily soap opera.

Former As the World Turns and One Life to Live stars Austin Peck and Terri Conn received a delivery from the stork, CBS Soaps In Depth is reporting.  The bundle of joy, a daughter named Keira Grace Peck, weighed 7 pounds. Congratulations to the couple!

Investigation Discovery is launching a new block of programming aimed at lapsed soap opera lovers!  Smartly christened "Days of Our Knives", the cabler's new daytime block will feature scandalous offerings hosted by soapers Susan Lucci, Kim Zimmer, Robert Newman, Drake Hogestyn and more!

"After the cancellation of All My Children and One Life to Live we saw an opening in the marketplace for some of our most popular series," says ID president and general manager Henry Schleiff. "Our tagline at ID is 'Your Guilty Pleasure' and that's a perfect fit for soap viewers, too. Our show titles even sound like they come from soaps — Happily Never After, Dates From Hell, Deadly Women, Wicked Attraction, Who the Bleep Did I Marry?"

Okay, this Schleiff fellow seems like my kinda TV exec! ID will be using their new soap-themed block to promote the upcoming series Deadly Affairs, hosted by La Lucci herself.  Former As the World Turns and One Life to Live costars Austin Peck and Terri Conn are expecting their first child as a couple. Peck broke the news on his Facebook page saying, "It's official! We [are] having a baby girl!!" The bundle of joy will be Peck’s third and Conn’s second. Congrats to the couple!

Jake Silbermann’s former As the World Turns co-stars Colleen Zenk, Terri Conn and Austin Peck turned out for the opening night of his Off-Broadway play Derby Day on December 3.  The Derby Day cast performed a dress rehearsal on November 28 at The Clurman Theatre, where the production is running through December 17.
