Andrea Evans Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful!

Boop Ooop-A-Doop! Multisoap superstar Andrea Evans is returning to one of her many old stomping grounds. Evans will be reprising the role of trailer trash schemer Tawny on The Bold and the Beautiful,  according to TV Guide’s Michael Logan.

"Tawny has lost her job at the tollbooth back in Furnace Creek and she's lost her trailer, too," says Evans. "She's thinking her daughter is rich and will help her out — and, as always, I assume she's up to no good!"

Hmm, I wonder if B&B will even address the fact that Tawny was on the trail of her daughter Amber (Adrienne Frantz) and Lil D only a few months ago on The Young and the Restless?

Andrea Evans Heads For The Bay!

Andrea Evans RETURNS to Y&R.... But Not as Patty

As if life in Twin Peaks, er Genoa City wasn't confusing enough these days, what with two Emilys, a Sheila Bot, some random twins, crazy, blind, charbroiled (Or is he?), Adam; a pending (SPOILER ALERT) Lauren-a-like and Dru Droid, no Nikki, the baby (Faith), the bathwater and the rest of the kitchen sink thrown in for not-so-good measure, now comes news from TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan that Andrea Evans is returning to the series for one episode. There's Something About Y&R's Mary Jane?

On The Young and the Restless today, Paul (Doug Davidson) noticed that Mary Jane (Stacy Haiduk), the mysterious PR wizzard Victor (Eric Braeden) is using to play Jack (Peter Bergman), looked familiar. This has caused major online debate and speculation that Mary Jane could in fact be Paul's long-absent sister and Jack's ex-wife Patty (previously played by Andrea Evans). Meanwhile, some online fans still think that Mary Jane will turn out to be Jack's psycho ex Mari Jo (previously played by Diana Barton). What do you think, is Mary Jane really Patty Williams Abbott, or is she Mari Jo Mason?

Phillip Granville Spaulding Happens Here

Before I get to the main event regarding the much ballyhooed resurrection of the lost Spaulding heir, a little housekeeping is in order.

First, no matter what one may think of the current state of Guiding Light or its prospects for survival, one cannot fault CBS for not marketing the high holy hell out of the return of Grant Aleksander and the character of Phillip Granville Spaulding. GL/Phillip/Aleksander has been everywhere: print ads and a steady barrage of television commercials have been broadcast non-stop, right down to a live interview with Sarah Bibel on Fancast.com. Internet advertising has been almost overwhelming.

Think I'm exaggerating? Consider that the publicity has run so deep and so wide that outlets as disparate as TVGuide.com have featured two video packages to The Wall Street Journal's financial/investment website MarketWatch.com have featured Aleksander/GL related material. Hell, all that was missing was a Super Bowl commercial; given how ubiquitous the marketing has been, no doubt CBS would have run one had it broadcast the game! I don't believe I have seen this much publicity for a soap since the heydey of General Hospital's Luke & Laura or, more recently, Susan Lucci's reported pay cut. READ MORE
