Check Out Tika Sumpter With The Late Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks in Trailer For Sparkle!

 




Sony Pictures has released the trailer for the highly-anticipated remake of the 1976 cult classic Sparkle. The movie marked the late Whitney Houston's film comeback, and turned out to be  the singer's final acting role.

Set in the 50's and 60's, Sparkle tells the tale of three sisters from Harlem who embark on a career in music. Houston plays Emma, the mother of the trio, which includes:  One Life to Live alum Tika Sumpter and  American Idol winner Jordan Sparks. Sparkle hits theatres Aug. 17.  Watch the trailer below!

Mark Hapka Snags Lead Role in Indie Flick '23 Blast'

Former Days of Our Lives star Mark Hapka has landed himself a role in the indie drama 23 Blast, according to Variety.  Hapka will star alongside Justin Long, Stephen Lang, Dylan Baker and Glee’s Max Adler.

Toni Hoover and Bram Hoover wrote the script, which follows a high school football star (Hapka) who's suddenly stricken with irreversible blindness and the choice he's forced to make regarding whether he should return to the sport.

At long last, it's finally here! The trailer for Tim Burton's reimagining of the classic, ABC daytime soap opera Dark Shadows has made its way online. Starring Johnny Depp as 200-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins, who returns to his ancestral home just in time to meet his descendants during the swingin' 70's, the flick definitely plays up the groovy factor of The Me Decade.
