James Bond
New Writers For Bond 23
By Lisa K. on June 15, 2009
Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan, is set to join previous James Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade to write the next 007 movie script. Purvis and Wade both worked on the hugely popular Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale. Morgan wrote the play and screen adaptation of Frost/Nixon, as well as The Last King of Scotland and The Queen. Purvis and Wade have been working on The Brazilian Job, the sequel to The Italian Job, on which they were also writers.
Daniel Craig is already set to reprise his role as 007 however no start date has yet been set, but EON and MGM are eyeing a 2011 release. The new film will be the first to return as a full MGM release since MGM & Sony co-produced the last two Bond movies together. The first 20 pictures in the franchise were soley distributed by MGM.
My thoughts: What ever happened to previous Casino Royale writer Paul Haggis?

Amanda Seyfried, Vanity Fair's "New Wave"
By Luke Kerr on July 06, 2008
After playing backup characters on Big Love and in Mean Girls, All My Children alum Amanda Seyfriend is about to "make it big" with the July 18 premiere of Mamma Mia, the big screen adaptation of the hit musical, starring opposite Hollywood legend Meryl Streep and former Jame Bond star Pierce Brosnan, among others.
Hollywood is hoping Mamma Mia is this summer's Hairspray styled success and though that has yet to be seen it has been great for Amanda who was named Vanity Fair's July Pin-up girl and appeared on this month's cover with Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, Panic Room star Kristen Stewart and Nancy Drew star Emma Roberts.

Consuelos, Mark Consuelos
By Luke Kerr on May 28, 2008
Which sort of leads me to a fun topic for discussion.
If you could cast a current or former daytime star as the lead in a major movie, who would you cast? What about As the World Turns' Mick Hazen (Parker) as Harry Potter, One Life to Live's Kristen Alderson (Starr) as Hermione Granger and former General Hospital star Dylan Cash (Michael) as Ron Weasley? Now I just have to figure out who I'd cast as Voldemort and Dumbledore.
