Downton Abbey vs The Super Bowl MASH-UP! It's "The Super-Proper Bowl It's hilarious!
This is so perfect a send up about the Super Bowl. As usual the other networks couldn't compete with Super Bowl ratings but Downton Abby...it pulled 6.6 million viewers and was 2nd in ratings that night! Quality is back in soaps. I have a question why doesn't DC do more on Downton Abby? I know it's PBS but it's pure soap opera! Jamey I know you're a fan why can't you do the same for DA? This is the biggest ratings for primetime soaps in years and yes even over Dallas 2.0. Is it because it's a period piece? A good soap is a good soap regardless. I think if this show was better advertised it would be even bigger. I love Downton Abbey. Doesn't matter to me whats on the other channel, (PM on my tv I watch Downton Abbey. I avoid spoilers,and watch the show.Love it. It cannot be called anything but a soap. A very entertaining Soap ,with characters we root for and even the schemers are ok. One hour a week is not really enough but,its great. Why can't the American channels realise soaps are NOT dead,not by a long shot!
