I'd also recast Amelia Heinle as well. But I'd recast her someone else. Just not sure who.

As for B&B, I'd recast Kim Matula with a much stronger blonde actress. Again, not sure with whom though.

For the first time in a long time I don't cringe when I see some characters on Y and R...So I wouldn't recast...but it's time to write off Devon. Even if just for a while. Sorry to any of his fans. I think he's the last link in the chain to go under the new team. With all the new people on, there's no room for him since he has no story STILL.

Casey Reed is dead, so that's out of the question. Nikki's sister died a few years back. Robert Newman as Cane!? LOL That's laughable! Cane as a character is dead weight to me. And Daniel Goddard is an awful actor anyway! JFP needs to get rid of Daniel Goddard and recast the role of Lily with a much stronger and better actress. I will continue to beat this drum until those two are gone!

As for the AMC and OLTL re-boots, fans should be happy that many of their favorites are coming back at all!

I don't watch B&B anymore so I'd gonna pick two from Y&R. CK's Lily and AH's Victoria are the obvious choices. Tamara Braun as Victoria Newman and a returning Davetta Sherwood as Lily Winters.

on Y&R I would recast Ashley Abbott with Brenda Epperson (who used to play Ashley years ago).

on B&B I would recast Ridge Forrester with Peter Reckell (Bo Brady from Days of Our Lives)

Kim Zimmer playing Casey Reid would be stunt casting. They could however bring in Robert Newman as Victors brother Mathew with plastic surgery. RN did look like the original actor that played Matt Miller. So it would not be that far of a stretch.

KZ as Casey would have to soften up her deamenor. I doubt that YR would do that. The original Actress that played Casey is a alive and well and asked a question at YR August 2012 Payley center Q & A.

YR is not like GH where they are going to bring back some of the fans favorite. To be honast. Jack/Ashley/Jill/Kay/Victor/Nikki/Paul/Lauren/Micheal/Neil are YR. Its not like we are really ever going to see in a big way. Carol/Skip/Andy/Jazz/Amy/Lynn/Mark Megeron/Casey/Matt Miller/Eric Garrison again. The only two people they could add back in again would be JT and Mac. Its like the Andy Richards era is gone and are not in the same leagues as GH's 80's stars.

Yeah, I personally would hate to see SB as Victoria; she's a good actress, if a bit overrated, but there's a real harshness too her that makes even characters that are supposed to be sympathetic not very appealing. That said, Victoria would be the character that I would recast. AH has had nearly 8 years in the role and she still hasn't made in any impact; yes, Heather Tom is a phenomenal actress(though I dare say not irreplaceable) and would be my first choice obviously but I doubt she's ever coming back.
I love Gina Tognoni in everything so she springs to mind first but I'm sure there are others who would do the role justice. What about Ari Zucker? She's one of DAYS' best actresses but those writers seem to be in a perpetual state of redeeming Nicole, only to have her do yet something else completely heinous and irredeemable.

I see Sarah Brown as a throwback the the 1940s empowered woman. She is like Katherine Hepburn or Barbara Stanwick. Or even Constance Ford or Jeanne Cooper in soap terms. A sucessful character for her would have to be strong, aloof, determined. She could definately play Victoria, in my opinion. The problem soaps have had with her is that they try to get her to play nice with boys. She needs a sparring partner not someone to play footsies with. I think that Billy Miller could provide that oil/water combo for her to play off of. There is plenty of conflict in Victoria's life and that is what Sarah Brown could thrive on in a role. That is what made her so successful with Carly and so unsucessful with Days.
Wouldn't it be lovely to watch her tear into Phyllis Newman? Or to watch her back off some woman getting too close to her man? Or walking into a board meeting and making herself heard by her father? Personally this would be a great match for me.

Why are we back at recasting Victoria AGAIN?

AH isn't my favorite either but she has settled into the part now after 7 years. I want to see other areas keep improving not worrying about who plays Victoria. Maybe contract time is another story but AH is there as Victoria and won't upset me.

And Thank You ChrisGa about Sarah Brown, I'm not the only one to feel SB is a sometimes overrated. Not saying she can't be good but I experienced her twice and wasn't impressed. SB's personality is to strong and abrasive for Victoria, HT knew how to mix the bad with good in perfect harmony. Abrasive as being the daughter of Victor Newman but always knew how pull it back with high emotion as Nikki.

Recast Victoria Newman Abbott with Lisa Renna. If we cant get Heather Thomas, at least lets who is more pleasing to the eye.

Recast Noah Newman with Taylor Lautner. Noah needs to be re-invented as Nick Jr. Taylor could pull off taking the ladies out-back, having his way with them, then wiping them off his collar. Sort of like an un-sensitive un-artsy Daniel (Michael Grazdei).

Ashley Abbott- I would want Eileen to play on both shows, but I read they ask Brenda Epperson to return and she said no, and they asked Eileen and she did. Brenda & Eileen both did the part justice unlike Shari who was like watching paint dry for 3 yrs.

Ridge-Peter Reckell yeah why not but I would write him as a character Brooke knew growing up in the Valley when she was in High School and this was the dude who always liked her in biology class and took her to her 9th grade dance. He moves to LA and he doing some remolding to Forester building. He has a construction & remodeling company (Peter has that look of being a construction worker) and he remembers how beautiful she was blah blah blah, but always wonder about her and in Brooke Logan fashion she sleeps with him on the first date and falls in love and of course Taylor gives him the 411 about Brooke history, but Taylor finds out his wife die of cancer. Brook get jealous of Taylor because she his shrink and Taylor like naw I'm just his doctor, and Brooke like don't listen to Taylor she a bitter bitch. Then out of nowhere he tells Taylor he would like to have 3-way with them two- Would Brad Bell ever do something like that?

Sarah Brown was fantastic during her short stint as Julia on ATWT....

If the intention was to create a character that was one of the most hated in the fiftysix-year history of the show, she certainly succeeded.

Actually, let's face it. I want every woman on Y&R re-cast with a well-chested woman.

Here's what I'd do to end the Jamie/Fen storyline.

While Jamie is in the hospital, I'd recast him with Drew Garrett (Ex-Michael, GH).

Then, Dylan could be Jamie's dad.

Then, when Fen gets outta Juvie, He'd be back in the form of Erik Valdez (Ex-Trey, GH). Then, he would be more soft instead of a hardass!

Also, Recast Summer with Bonnie Dennison (Ex-Daisy, GL.)

I wonder why Heather Tom did not return as Victoria when they decided to bring the character back in '05.

Have a good idea. I know she gets along w/Eric Braeden but may be another one that is top rated she doesn't get along with. Heather Tom is always in every PR pic she can get in. She loves to be seen.
