Pferrando...listen to it because being a Y&R fan you will enjoy these two veterans chatting with each other and remembering Bill and soaps problems...it's wonderful.
I met Kay Alden at the B&B Fan event in 2009. Huge thrill.
All I can say.
I met Kay Alden at a Y&R fan event in the summer of I think 2003. Whatever summer is was they made Jill Katherine's daughter. I talked to her for like 5-10 mins and it was a unique opportunity.
I even got to meet Bill Bell at a similar event in 2000, but didn't really talk to him. Just sort of a "hi."
I listed to the blog interview last night. A few of the questions from the chat room were mine, but I didn't call in. I asked Jeanne what she thought of Michael Learned's rendition of Kay Chancellor, and I asked him what she's done to Murphy, LOL!
Kay Alden is needed more over at DAYS than she is at Y&R. DAYS is a TRAGIC mess right now. Seriously, this show is in soooooo much trouble, from a creative standpoint. It would be interesting to see how Alden could turn it around.
I'm gonna have to agree with Alston on this one. Why Ken Corday fired the head writers that Days brought in to replace the atrocious Dena Hegley without giving them the time that they needed in order to bring some sense of order to the show is beyond me! The writer's he replaced them with are actually worse than Dena if you can believe that! I'd love to see Kay Alden head over to Days and be the sole Head Writer and get that show back on track. Two co-head writers almost never works in any genre be it daytime or primetime. When you have that many co-head writers, storylines get mixed up, continuity is all over the map, details are missed or not caught in time before being taped, yadda, yadda, yadda. And when that happens, the show and its fans suffer.
Y and R needs her STAT. Ax Hogan and put a pen in her hand at the Y and R studio...
Or a laptop!
Kay would be great at Days! It would be great to have that Bill Bell content back at Days after all these years! Great show! It took me a couple days to listen to all of it but it was worth it.
