When Days was my show!

during that 555-5555 era of Days I was loving the show. Finally now they have these classic episodes up. This episode was during the aftermath of Rolf blowing up the clinic where Glenn and Barb were to receive JT's paternity results. Lexie is in the hospital and ranting about the baby switch 
. Phillip and Chloe are in the throws up love. Hope thinks her baby is dead and Jennifer feels guilty for losing JT.

Honey, I watched this for you David... because David I love your wisdom you spew all over these boards. You know your soaps and the masters. I love your posts and your opinions. I'm by NO means a DOOL viewer back in the day but respect your views. Chole Really? I would had love DOOL in the "70s & '80s period, ahh simply what Mark gave me a history LESSON on Days! I would love it! Question? Where's you Lexie? You love but JER leftover stories? Come on David give us drama...as when Marlena lost DJ by SIDS...Powerful, performance by DH...preJohn...DH doesn't need John!

Kristen returns TODAY!!!! WOHOOO!!!
@harlee: This was the last time the soap really had direction. James E. Reilly left in 1997. But this was when the show was till doing well in the ratings and had the best teen set on T.V. And this was where Lexie began the road down to evil.

But one thing bothered me - DAYS TPTB/ TomSell: make no mistake, Kristen's return IS the event of the season. Nothing else.
Why didn't they end the episode with the revelation of Kristen? There is NO way this ish with Jennifer and Nicole is more important than Kristen. THAT should have been the last scene of the day - actually iut should have been the last scene of a Friday.
I don't really follow TomSell's train of thought here.
@David, I just read something that blew me away, JER only Emmy win was when he (and others) as Co-HW at my GL after Pam Long had left! In early nineties. I knew he had worked at GL but didn't realize he had a win. He also was a story consultant with Bill Bell before going to GL in the late eighties after SSM tenture. See that goes to show you JER could write good old fashion soap opera and now all he will be remembered for is the supernatural writing at DOOL! WOW! I liked his writing on GL, smart intelligent, he did some great coupling back then Harley/Mallet, Ross/Blake, Eleni/Frank/A-M, A-M/Blake for example.

David...AHHHH...I would be screaming and throwing something through the TV set!@ w\expletives! You are right about other writers, Nancy Curlee, Lorraine Broderick, Stephen Demorest & JER. I never got over what Paul R. with Reva's clone, and the time travel, Reva a psychic...I was ALWAYS screaming to fire PAUL. It was mixed bag with him.
Okay. Something was really off in Friday's episode.
FINALLY - after ALL this time - we have Kristen here, and it is downplayed and overshadowed by other storylines. If for some God forsaken reason they wanted to make a dramatic Jennifer/Nicole staircase scene, couldn't they have done it SOME other day?
This day was supposed to be all about KRISTEN. Fans have been waiting for her arrival for months on end, now finally that she is here, her scenes were treated as filler to Jennifer/Nicole, Sami/Rafe, heck even CAROLINE now has her own storyline (which is GREAT, but did it have to start now????).
They should be treating Eileen Davidson like ROYALTY. Not like she is some newbie character.
