I'm by no means a huge fan of the Staff Infection; but I think her character is an integral part of the show. A soap needs a vixen and if Stafford would accept that that is who her character is then I say keep her.

It would appear from what was recently said by the DC crew, however, that the actress thinks Phyllis is supposed to be some sort of heroine. If that's the case, I'd go all Heidi Klum on her and say "auf wiedersehen".

Whether it be as a vixen or heroine, in either case she needs to be backburned for at least a couple of months.

@SoapArmageddon...MS needs to be back-burned for at least a year. Let Phyllis exist but let right story for Phyllis to step out and maybe fans will be ready to see her strut. People have been overdosed by MAB & cronies of Phyllis! Give her a rest. MS is a good actress but I'm tried of her. I hope they cut Ronan & Chelsea and Phyllis & Adam hit the sheets! Let Nick cool it for awhile with women and just be a father , it turns Nick somewhat bitter because the women in his life. Great opportunity make Nick resembling Victor's attitude.

Blake Hood is at the top of my list (absolutely talentless!!), followed by Stephen Nichols (please, Josh Griffith, undo this "Katherine & Tucker are Mother & Son" matching - NOT WORKING!!), Darnell Williams, Daniel Goddard (why is this dead-weight STILL on "Y & R"?!?) and this Bryton kid.

ERIC BRAEDEN as Victor Newman! I am sick and tired of his old as dirt egotistical, overbloated sense of, "I get the final say on what Victor says and doesn't say!" That sense of entitlement needs to be yanked out from under this old farts feet and send him tumbling and along the way eating some humble pie!

Anyone who thinks they should release Melissa Claire Egan is crazy. She's such a refreshing actress and had my favorite AMC character.

Actually several new MAB couples clicked (Jack and Gen, Abby and Carmine, Phil and Ronan, Adam and Chelsea, and Sharon and Sam) but none were explored enough or were split up. Maybe Hogan complained? Only one remains after the axings and swings with crap storylines.

My wish list is/was: Tucker, Sarge, Harmony, Jeffrey, Daisy Duke to start. Bye.

Glo is a trip and needs more air time as does Lauren, Paul, Nina and Nikki and Kay. Several vets do need a cooling off period for me: Sharon, Nick, Victor, Phil.

Finally Neil, Kevin, Avery, Chloe all need something else to do.

I'd love to see Traci back permanently and Dru. C'mon!!!

Totally agree with you about Melissa Claire Egan(and this is coming from someone who was never fond of Annie on AMC). I think she and Adam may be the best couple on Y&R right now; I hope she doesn't get the boot.

Well, we can now take one person off of my list of people that I thought Jill would and should fire and that is Michael Graz. It appears he's leaving on his own.

It really irks me how people are saying they hat newbies but LOVE Chelsea. WTH??? She has no more right to be on this show than the other "newbies". The reason people even might like her is because she's paired with Adam who is hugely popular - if they had done that with someone else they would be popular too. So it is not even about Chelsea, it is the storyline. And THAT kind of thinking is really unfair, and should really stop. If they are getting rid of MAB newbies, then Chelsea IS one of those people!!!

I like MCE but Chelsea is hugely underdeveloped and her exit will not go noticed in the long run. Who is she besides the lady who birthed Johnny and is married Adam? I forgot she was Jeffrey's kid (who can also leave and no one will care) until they reminded us this week.

Chelsea doesn't stand alone as a character. If she and Adam were to end tomorrow -- what will do she then? Nothing.

If she is going to stay she needs a LIFE of her own.

You have to have some, as you call them, "newbies" on a show. Shows need some refreshing every once and awhile. One of my biggest gripes with GH is that they don't give any new characters a chance.

And you have to give MCE some credit, it's not just that she's paired with Adam. People hated Skye on here, even though I liked her, and they said how Sharon is "finally tolerable" with Adam. People seem to genuinely embrace this couple, and I'm one of them.

Yes, shows can have viable newbies, but who says Chelsea should be the one out of all of them that works and "gets a pass to stay". And yes, I really like MCE, she's a fine actress, this is about the character Chelsea. What bothers me, is that she is popular because she is involved with Adam. If that weren't the case, if she was involved with let's say Kevin or Daniel, I highly doubt she would be so popular. And on the other hand, if it were some other "newbie" (I hate that word) paired with Adam, they would absolutely be popular too.

But, as it stands now, I actually don't think Chelsea is anywhere near safe from being axed. So we will see how things go.

And for the record, I never only approved of Sharon when with Adam. I remember and love the Sharon we saw from 1994 to 2006 when she was a loving mother and wife (she had her mistakes, yes) and even after her divorce from Nick when she was with Brad. I still don't understand how Brad & Sharon DIDN'T become a couple (they were HOT), in stead they were both thrust into horribly wrong, loveless marriage with Jack & Victoria, courtesy of LML. Contrary to what some say, I do not believe every character Adam "touches" is gold. Adam & Sharon didn't bother me, but nor did I see them as some sort of excellence.

Just my opinion, but never liked Adam until he was paired with Chelsea. I actually see growth in his character since they were paired.

I'm with you on this one MCE is captivating. I was a fan of her Crazy Annie on AMC so I like her on my screen. Her and EH (Chloe Mitchell) are my favorites

I would keep Avery and Kevin. JPM (Sophia) is recurring. The rest I agree with. Also I love Adam and Chelsea too great chem with MM & MCE. I would want Abby(MR) back because you need a younger crowd on this show, besides she's half Abbott/ half Newman.

I say keep Summer & Fen because all the complaining that has been spoken, when tyranids about SOARS both characters...soaps have done this since the '60s. Tom Hughes going back, Victoria Newman (she was a blonde 8 yo then in form of HT) same with Nick (he was playing little league w\Jack), so you have the characters and I don't want to de-SOARS. Just use them properly, they fill a gaping hole on canvas, the teen set. Y&R always done teen set stories not just young adults. Cricket, Nina, Phillip, Victoria (w\Ryan) having sex at 15!!, Nick, Sharon, Matt (EC) and GLOW story. I much rather see them being used in a good story which would bring in story for their parents.

It's so hard to de-age characters and easily to let them go...ie: Kyle, Eden, will be in direct line of the ax.

They need the younger set to try to bring in some younger viewers. Aging character has always happened and harlee is right, Bell did it all the time. The problem this time is that Maria aged them all in one fell swoop but never used them. They all should have been featured in some sort of summer story, not at the expense of screen time for other characters, but similar to GL's "Laurel Falls" stories in the 80's. This is the next generation on Y and R and they need to start easing them into the story. I'm actually okay with all of them.

How was Sharon tolerable with Adam, the man that stole her child? I am always confused to read this. Adam too is only tolerable now that his evil is behind him. He was rotten. He abused two women--Ashley and Sharon-- and deprived a child of its parents. Why is a woman tolerable when she embraces, sleeps with and 'forgives' her abuser?
Sharon was tolerable to me when she and Dru were friends.
