Yes it should be called that and the only thing i'm digging is the ending credits.

Even when I have it on SOAPNET at 6pm, I barely watch - everyone is sniping, yelling and shrilling at one another...this is acting?!? NOT!!

Some tidbits over the last few days:

- Why is this horrid Anita back - why?? She serves no purpose and is just another MAB/HS/SH ill-conceived one-note character. This 'creating a family for Jeffrey' just smacks of bad storytelling. I guess MAB likes to keep her charity benefactors close by...
- Still not buying the whole Adam/Chelsea coupling, not one bit. It was hastily put together and smells of desperation. Sorry, but Melissa Clare Egan is not selling this character.
- Still not impressed with the SORAS'ed Kyle, Summer or Fenmore in any way, shape or form. They should have remained their proper ages.
- Genie Francis is still not convincing as Genevieve - not at all. Her having connections to another ill-conceived character, Tucker McCall, is also ridiculous. No wonder the character of Ashley is leaving (Good luck, Eileen Davidson - "Y & R" has failed you yet again!)

FINALLY:

- The guy who plays Daniel needs a haircut PRONTO - he looks like a female from some Third World nation in desperate need of a shave!

It's the Phyllis Newman hour for sure.

And she is not on for almost every day ... she is on for every single day for weeks if not months now. There is no break of her. Phyllis is tied to most of what's been going on in Genoa City. There are episodes where when she's not in a scene, she is mentioned in a conversation.

There is no balance anymore. Like at all. Other members of this show serve as an extra these days to let Phyllis shine. She's the heroine and central character of this show.

Doesn't matter what the audience wants, MAB has found her long-term obsession and is not letting go of it. I don't know what MS has on her - maybe something worth getting her out of a job - to have this much air time.

I don't believe this is a coincidence.

And what is there next to Phyllis that is worth watching?
Sharon doing her former daddy-in-law (and father figure for ALMOST TWO DECADES) and acting as if she's the second coming all of the sudden?
The Adam/Chelsea romance which is about to be the cheesiest love storyline I have ever seen (and totally rewrote the character of Adam Newman)?
I don't even want to talk about the rest. The writing has been awful and the acting by the likes of Catherine Bach beyond horrible.

Bartman202 ... I agree with almost all of what you post. But ... I do buy Adam and Chelsea and do think Ms Egan is perfectly fine. Also, even though it is a matter of taste; I do like Daniel's looks and locks. Anyway, MG has other gigs past and future which probably calls for that look.

Saw Phyllis...........take a drink Day 2

I completely understand the frustration about Phyllis. Holy sh*t, that character has completely taken over the show. Its ridiculous. The way they are handling this hit and run storyline is absurd. Why is Christine the bad guy because she wants Phyllis convicted for the crime Phyllis committed? Why is EVERYONE on this show kissing Phyllis's posterior. They can just write of Ronan if they are just going to use him to hold Phyllis's purse. Stafford's over-the-top acting is not helping.

I don't care for MCE's character either. She's just blah. I just do not feel the chemistry between MM and MCE.

The only good part about Y&R was Ricky and they killed him.

Because somehow Phyllis became the main if not only heroine of this show. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. MAB wants the audience to feel for Phyllis even though she deserves what's coming to her. But I guess in the end, Phyllis will manage to portray herself as the victim. Christine drove her to these extremes right!? It's all her fault... Awful!!!!

I don't see any chemistry either. MCE portrays another character that gets thrown in our face non-stop. She came to town as a rapist and now is half of MAB's imagined next supercouple. It's the cheesiest writing for a couple I've seen in years. Telenovelas are nothing against the ridiculousness that are Adam and Chelsea.
And both written completely out of character! That IS NOT the Adam Newman I used to know and love/love to hate.
Adam has instead become another one of these ruined characters who isn't to set apart from the rest of the males that are all written the same way.

Saw Phyllis yesterday and today...........Two drinks!!

This show is so pathetic. Why is it everyone against Christine? Is it in Michelle Stafford's contract that she is not guilty of any crimes?

Plus why is it seem different between what Paul did vs Phylis's did? Everyone is saying Phyllis has changed. I feel no sympathy to the character.

I am sick and tired of this show.

This is one show I am taking off the pvr STAT!!!!

As for MM, I like the new Adam. He is soo much better off without Sharon.

If the character of Sharon has been destroyed. She is becoming the town slut of Genoa City.

I know I'm just repeating what others have said but after today's episode, I have to reiterate that it is disgusting that MAB is writing Phyllis as the VICTIM. When Summer told Cricket off, I had enough! When is Cricket going to go off on all the crap Phyllis did to her. Cricket finally told Avery that SHE is the victim here. I understand that people change but Phyllis is the BIGGEST hypocrite on daytime(and that is saying A LOT). She should still be held responsible for her actions! I hate that Phyllis is still playing innocent when SHOULD be awesome when(if?) she gets brought down but somehow I’m sure Phyllis is not be punished for her crimes. I can’t believe Lauralee Bell(the daughter of Bill Bell, the creator of Y&R) is letting her sister-in-law to portray Cricket as the bad guy!

Totally agreed with you. Phyllis is always saying "poor christine" this and that. She is doing the same thing to everyone else. She is the victim here. She has changed.

It is the Phyllis hour! zzzzzzzzzzzzz Fast forward every time I see her on the tube.

She has nothing I would want to hear.

This show has gotten sooo bad. There are no words to describe. Well, there is but I want to keep the boards clean.

Right now I can tolerate Adam and Chelsea over everyone's on the show.

Even Chole has gotten boring.
