Who told certain people they were interested?

Is it me or does it seems like everyone have a reality series? I was just watching WE TV and I saw Sinbad and Toni Braxton coming out with reality series. It's like everywhere I look, everyone and their mother has a show. I saw some singer who couldn't make it with Diddy's record label, Aubrey is her name, now have a reality series. Not every one is interested!!!! My question for you all is, Who told certain people they were interested? And should everyone who wants one, have a reality show? There are more important issues going on in the world like the Japan crisis, the U.S budget battle, etc.
