YR - Sean Young please leave already!

I agree, but it will mean she will losses her job, so I am conflicted! LOL

I wouldn't mind if they just got rid of Meggie. I know that would involve Sean Young losing her job, but that is the nature of the beast. I don't care for her character and I am not in "awww" of her acting. Plus, the costume department needs to do something with her clothes and those side burns.

And what does Nikki need an assistant for?? All she does is Babysit her grandchildren OFF-SCREEN?

Sean Young is USED to losing her job....LOL!! The woman has practically been blacklisted from mainstream Hollyweird. High profile celebrities, producers and directors treat her like she has the plague----and for all we know, she just might!!!!!

However, even though she is a TRAIN WRECK who seems to be borderline psychopathic, I actually think that Sean Young is a great actress, and if the writers actually gave her some DECENT material, she might be able to go toe to toe with MTS and EB, perhaps creating a great new triangle for these two, who have been on the backburner with the asparagus for far too long. This couple needs conflict, and the conflict should involve more than dealing with their mealy-mouthed offspring, Victoria and Nickclueless. And I agree, all the money that the Newmans have, why not just hire a REAL damned babysitter, and give Nikki something else to do??? I am sure they can afford the $20 an hour going rate for babysitters nowadays.

I think the show needs to write a story that's WORTHY of Sean Young's talents. As far as getting rid of her, I am sure that Eric Braeden wouldn't take too kindly to that, especially considering that he got her the job in the first place. I guess his "charity" knows no bounds. Too bad he can't throw some of his weight around and get Maria Bell and Paul Rauch to give MELODY more airtime. I guess there's something shady going on behind the scenes, and I wonder exactly what it is.........***THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

Clearly you aren't watching the same Y&R as myself. EB is on 8 days a week. He is not being backburnered. Now MTS is the true definition of being backburnered. I'm sorry for any that think Sean Young is a great actress but all she is giving me on this show right now is a wooden performance. Like Clementine Ford and Amelia Heinle. She does not strike me as ever being a viable threat to the Victor/Nikki relationship. She just doesn't.

Well hopefully the writers will get it together and put some reality and aspirational relationships together - like there used to be. I have been watching Y&R since it hit the airways and in the early days you saw characters .ie Nikki that were encouraged adn assisted to "lift themselves" into a better life - the challenges they had along the way and the great writing that pulled it all together and had the fans glued to the show that showed them - :rich or poor you could follow your dreams and goals and if you held your course you got there. Now theere is so much "fantasy" & "negative" story lines - totally unreal situations happening far to often that it has all become so far fetched it a what it now and then situation - such a shame.

I agree about the great actors being wooden on Y&R, Smitty. Even Eric Roberts, who was on Another World several years ago, is pretty wooden in some of his scenes. I guess it has to do with the fact that they are not allowed time to prepare considering the amount of time spent filming for five days a week and one shot only. Clementine Ford was probably pretty good on The L Word, though I wouldn't know for sure since I haven't watched it. Same for Sean Young. She was pretty entertaining on Ace Ventura and the Women's Murder Club miniseries. Amelia Heinle was probably just meant to play boring, unanimated characters like Mia on AMC. She just isn't very feisty like the old Victoria.
I think the soap preparation thing is the problem with Darius McCrary too. He has never worked on soaps before. My other problem with him is that he's too young to play Malcolm. I'm not sure if I buy him as a 40 or 41 year old.

I have to stick up for Amelia mostly in part for her chemistry with Billy Miller. The character of Victoria has done a 180 and I personally love it. She may not be quite as feisty as Heather Tom's version but she definitely has acting chops.

AH is not a very good actress. She is stiff and has the strangest facial expressions. All of the chemistry is coming from Billy Miller. I still find the character to be whiny and boring when Billy is not doing his comedic acting. Billy has had chemistry with all of his costars except for Clementine Ford and lets not go down that road, lol....
