Spencer/Cassidine Story

I am sure this has been discussed, but does anyone know what happened with the Valentin story on GH that brought Helena and Luke back ?   That story seems as though it was complely left hanging.  Did I miss something?

 I believe the Spencer/Cassidine story has been pushed back because of the Franco story line.

I read in the Insider's Lounge a drop said it was because of Franco but I don't see why ??
I mean why should his storyline be pushed back he isn't in the Franco storyline.

Valentin enters the picture after the holidays and the story will build as we near February sweeps.
