I think the prostitute you were referring to who used to work at Kelly's and was involved with Mike Corbin was Tammy.
I think she was involved with the OTHER Luke as well.
And if I recall correctly, she gave the original Lucky (JJ) advice on women.

Tammy was actually a working prostitute for quite a while before she was redeemed. She started out as Alan's prostitute when he was doing drugs. Then she and Felicia worked together to bring down her drug dealing pimp. It was more than a year later that she started working at Kelly's.
Luke's surrogate Laura was a different prostitute who later fell in love with Lucky.
