I must say it is refreshing to see how popular daytime soaps still are for our neighbors to the North. I can remember the days when soap stars were frequently the focus of U.S. entertainment programs, alas, except for major returns like Andrea Evans (Tina) to One Life to Live, the latest panty-less shot of Paris Hilton or some poor, aging, drunken star eating a hamburger on the floor seems to have replaced soaps on the pop culture radar stateside.
