Ten years after her first stint on General Hospital, Meredith Vieira is back. TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan spoke with the former co-host of The View and The Today Show to get the skinny on what her character Bree Flanders will be up to when she hits Port Charles on Dec. 14.
TV Guide Magazine: You were such a hoot as Bree. What's become of our girl?
Vieira: Well, she's no longer providing comfort to men! Lynn Herring returns to the show as Lucy Coe [also Friday] and it turns out Bree is her senior vp of marketing at CoeCoe Cosmetics. Sabrina and Felix are desperately trying to get a meeting with Lucy but first they have to go through me. [Laughs] But, really, not much has changed for Bree. Prostitution. Makeup. Hey, it's all sales.
Former General Hospital actress Nazanin Boniadi has come out swinging against the mysterious and controversial Church of Scientology. Gawker is reporting Boniadi and several former high ranking Scientologist all took part in a rap song denouncing the organization and its practices. Boniadi sings:

Don't expect Katherine Heigl to return to Seattle Grace anytime soon. Grey's Anatomy showrunner Shonda Rhimes spoke with Oprah Winfrey Sunday night to discuss her latest primetime drama Scandal, featuring Kerry Washington. The Mighty O asked Rhimes about Heigl's controversial 2008 decision to pull her name from Emmy nominations. Fans of the series recall Heigl told the press she wasn't submitting since the writing for her character wasn't up to snuff. Ouch. Rhimes has kept mum on Heigl's diss until now. Said Rhimes on Oprah's Next Chapter:

Don't believe the hype buzzing all over the Internet about Matt Lauer leaving Today. According to The New York Post, the morning show's head honcho Alexandra Wallace revealed to them exclusively, Lauer is staying put. Wallace stated:
There is absolutely no truth to this. There have been some recent outrageous claims regarding Matt and the 'Today' show, and an awful lot of piling on from nameless, faceless sources. These stories are wrong and irresponsible. READ MORE
