Is Scotty Out For Vengeance on General Hospital?
By Luke Kerr on March 05, 2013
General Hospital’s 50th Anniversary is around the corner, and they’ve released another promo celebrating the soap's past and present. It features Luke (Anthony Geary) telling Laura (Genie Francis) that Scotty (Kin Shriner) is out for vengeance. Meanwhile, will Ugly Betty 2.0 (Teresa Castillo) admit to Patrick (Jason Thompson) he is the doctor she’s in love with? Watch this week's GH promo after the jump!

I have a feeling the stories are going to drop off big time since Todd, John & Starr are leaving the canvas. Re-Ron Cartooni has spent so much time focusing on these 3 characters that once they depart the canvas I don't think there is going to be much story other than relish. Carly hasn't done anything in months.

Really? It's been two weeks since we saw Todd. Starr has been an extra in the ELQ story and John's story just ended. There are about 70 actors on the show now, plus the Nurses Ball buildup (Helena, Nikolas, Bobbie, Ethan, Jax/Jerry, Robin and others are coming back this month). I don't think you have to worry about nothing going on.

This promo looked pretty good to me. I must admit, I love all the 50th anniversary promos.
It was, however, a little silly to end the promo with "the big reveal" of Sobrina telling Patrick about her feelings, as if that would be some sort of cliffhanger, lol. FYI: it's not.

I hate hate HATE when people call Sabrina 'Ugly Betty.' Is it because she is Latina and wears glasses? Isn't that vaguely racist? Or even not so vaguely? I expect more of you, Daytime Confidential.

@ mfarris: Speaking solely for myself as a commenter and not a blogger of this site, I see exactly why Sabrina has been dubbed Ugly Betty 2.0. The characters have many similarities: wears ridiculously goofy glasses, outfits and hairstyles as well as being socially inept. I do think both characters being Latina does draw a logical connection but not necessarily racist, given being Latina is one more similarity. Both characters have the EXACT same character archetype: overly optimistic ingenue who lacks agency but gains confidence with each success and we the audience are supposed to root for, blah, blah, blah.
I liked the character Betty Suarez and the show Ugly Betty so I would not dub "Ugly Betty" as a nickname for Sabrina because I can't stand her. I have dubbed her: Mousy Nurse, Sobrina and "Ugh! Why are you on my screen?!"

At this point, I will take anything with romance. Please stop making Sabrina act like a teenager, (though, I have this feeling , that at the Nurses Ball, she will suddenly have a make-over (Cinderella) and look like a beauty, and Patrick will be memerized, like Prince Charming.) I want to see Luke/ Laura/Scotty scenes, Lucy in charge of the Nurses Ball, and seeing old favorites like Bobbie, Nicolas, Jax, Brenda, and the icon, Audrey Hardy!

Totally disagree with you but I see your point. If Sabrina were not Latina I doubt the writers here at DC would call her Ugly Betty.
