As previously reported, Easton—who played Detective John McBain and vampiric serial killer Steven Clay/Caleb Morley—was legally forced off the set of General Hospital, as production company Prospect Park drew closer to relaunching One Life to Live. The character of McBain originated on OLTL, and is therefore licensed to Prospect Park. Easton is still under contract with ABC.

Awww. I really feel for ME. I hope he is able to return to GH.
Although I will enjoy the break we get from him. I don't dislike John, but as a character I am still pretty indifferent to him. I'm not invested. Only thing I really would like to happen is for him to have a serious relationship with Sam. And the fact that his storyline has been the A-story on GH for over a month is pretty mind-boggling. Of course, they wanted to utilize him while they still had him, so I guess I can understand that.

I personally like ME.I like John.he fights the bad guys and he is not a killer for hire. I think he has great on screen chemistry with Sam.Those blue eyes are beautiful.
I hope he gets to return.Its not his fault PP couldn't do what they promised.he deserves to be on GH.
PP is just turning things inside out,and making it hard on the actors.Sure the characters are theirs but,the actors thought they were moving on.Now they expect them to pack up and return to OLTL in Conn?
I know the OL fans want them returned,but they also deserve to wstay now that they have moved to CA. What a mess. NO one but PP wins.

His wife is a very lucky woman. I'm a sucker for a dark haired man with long hair. Sigh, I love that top pic of him and the second one is cute also! I hope he gets back to work on GH soon also. I'd love for him and Sam to go looking for her dad.

I've hated the Caleb diversion but I really like John. I'm eager to see the promise of John and Sam fulfilled. I hope Michael is able to return to work soon, along with Roger and Kristen. I like all of them and have enjoyed their presence on GH over the past year. I'm still disappointed we didn't get to see Todd and Carly in a relationship for longer than a few days. The build-up to that was fantastic and I enjoyed their friendship immensely. I know some will only accept Todd with Blair (understandable), but he was the most viable potential mate for Carly in awhile IMO. Hopefully they'll be able to return to that and continue exploring it at some point. (I'm not particularly looking forward to seeing Carly possibly move into A.J.'s romantic orbit and cause problems for A.J. and Elizabeth, who have lovely chemistry.) Starr and Michael also work for me and I'd like to see what troubles may lie ahead for them.
Anyway, good luck Michael, Roger and Kristen! You have this viewer's support.

I love John, love ME, and hope they get this resolved ASAP. He should not be punished because PP screwed up and sat on their hands for too long. There should have been some kind of clause in those contracts that the characters had to be used within a certain length of time or they'd revert back to ABC or something. Ridiculous to expect these people to sit in limbo while PP figured things out.

I am so out of the loop. I've just now caught up on a month's worth of GH (FLOVE!). But can someone fill me in on why ME has been forced off because of PP? I know they are rebooting OLTL/AMC, but why does that mean ME can't work? And has this happened to RH (don't take Todd!) or KA (please take Starr!)? How is it affecting the John/Caleb story??

That was such a nice message from Micheal and that picture with his daughter is so cute!! He sounds like a really nice guy . Whenever I wrote to him, when he was on PC and then OLTL, he always sent me an autographed photo of himself. He really seems to care about his fans. I also love those blue eyes with the dark hair!
I just can't believe GH won't do all they can to bring him back on. They KNOW he's popular, that's why Frank V brought him over to GH in the first place. John and Todd have become two of my favorites on the show -they HAVE to bring them back!!!!

To arielade...the contract between ABC and Prospect Park gives the rights to the characters of John, Todd and Starr to Prospect Park. Once Prospect Park got things going they gave ABC notice they could no longer use those characters on GH. Thus, the last day the actors could legally work on GH was March 8. Once the scenes they shot through March 8th air they will disappear from GH, at least for a while.
To curacaoman...there was no third man. Stephen Clay and Caleb were always the same person, even on Port Charles.
