General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Alexis is summoned to the police station, where Anna informs her Molly helped John, Rafe and Lucy escape. Molly claims Lucy convinced her it was the right thing to do to save Rafe from Caleb. When Alexis asks about John, Molly admits she freed him because he swore he would find Sam and Danny. Shawn wants to know where they were going, but Molly doesn’t know. Shawn comments about TJ being hurt and upset with her. Molly declares she did the right thing, and knows it’s better to have John out there looking for Sam and Danny. Alexis reluctantly agrees with her daughter.
Scotty shows up at The Haunted Star to visit Lulu, and be snotty about Logan’s death. Lulu is not happy to see Scotty, and reminds him of exactly how the Logan situation went down. Scotty wants them to put it all behind them, especially now that they’re going to be family. Lulu doesn’t believe Scotty when he says he and Laura are getting married.
Tracy tells Luke about AJ’s panic attacks, and her plan to use them to have him tossed out as CEO. Luke tells her that he ran into Laura. Tracy’s shocked to hear Laura is engaged to Scotty. Tracy tells Luke not to get involved, because Laura is a grown up who can take care of herself. Luke feels Scotty is taking advantage, but Tracy reminds him it’s not his job to rescue Laura.
Luke claims he’s over Laura, but is still shocked she moved on. Luke brings up ice princess, and informs Tracy that Lulu received a replica of one. He originally believed it came from Helena. However, Luke now wonders if Scotty sent it.
John, Rafe and Lucy end up in the professor’s office, hoping to find clues about Caleb. Rafe asks Lucy if Caleb is his father, but before she can answer, John finds a picture of the ring in a book. He quickly reads up about the Morley family. Lucy mentions Caleb also went by the name Steven Clay. John looks up the name and finds out Caleb went crazy after the death of his wife Livvie, and was institutionalized. However, he escaped and went on a killing spree. Lucy worries he’s going to come looking for Rafe.
John wants to anticipate Caleb’s next move. Lucy brings up her dream about Caleb, and tells John she was at Windermere when it happened.
Sonny arrives, as Kate is leaving to go visit Trey. Sonny tells her that she can’t see him, but won't tell her why. Kate pushes the issue, and Sonny informs her Trey died. Kate doesn’t believe it, but Olivia and Sonny explain what happened the night of the accident. Kate can’t believe she killed her own son.
Laura arrives at The Haunted Star, and admonishes Scotty for spilling the beans to Lulu. Lulu is shocked her mother would marry Scotty after what he did to both of them. Scotty swears it's all in the past, and leaves them alone to talk. Lulu wonders what her mother is doing.
Laura says she ran into Scotty in Paris, and it was nice to see a familiar face. They reconnected, and the rest is history. Lulu wonders why her mother didn’t mention it the first day she arrived. Laura admits the engagement wasn’t official then, and she accepted his proposal after she was back in town. Lulu questions if Laura’s decision was swayed in a certain direction because she saw Luke with Anna. Laura feels she made the right decision. Lulu thinks her mother is using her inability to reconnect with Luke as the reason to marry Scotty.
Scotty stops by the PCPD to see Lucy. He runs into Anna, and they have a less than spectacular conversation. Scotty tells Alexis he's there to be Lucy's attorney, but Anna informs him Alexis is currently fulfilling the position. Scotty quickly figures out Lucy escaped. Scotty mentions being engaged, and Anna is surprised to hear his fiancée is Laura. Anna asks if he’s taking advantage of Laura’s mental instability, but Scotty denies it. He brings up Anna’s current relationship with Luke, but Anna tells him it's over between her and Luke.
Scotty returns to The Haunted Star, and swears to Lulu that his intentions are honorable. He asks if they can bury the hatchet. Laura asks if Lulu can do it for her. Lulu agrees, and shakes Scotty’s hand.
Sam wakes up on the couch at Windermere. Caleb welcomes her home.

For the love of pete, can someone get Rafe a coat. It's the dead of winter out and they keep having him run around in a tshirt.
Loved everything Lulu. Her disgust at Scotty. Her questioning her mother's sanity.
Always hated Scotty and he's just such a smarmy douchebag.
Molly, if I had spoken to my mother the way you speak to yours, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be alive right now. Alexis, stop letting her talk to you that way.
Love the Caleb explanation. So simple, yet makes sense.
So totally wanted Kate to break at the news of Trey's death and Connie reemerge. I'm missing Connie.

I hated the way Lulu was going after Scotty. I love Scott and I really hated the fact that they killed Logan off. Scott has dealt with a lot of loss. Karen, Logan. Give him a break he deserves some happiness.
I would love love love to see Serena go up against miss know it all Lulu. Serena needs to come on and give it to Lulu good. A Serena, Dante, Lulu triangle would be great.
Todays show was pretty good. Even the Cate scenes were alright. Caleb being a serial killer made perfect sense.
While they are bringing back former cast members they really should bring back Ric. I would like to see how Molly interacts with her dad.

Even though I thoroughly enjoy Connie, I thought today's scenes with Kate, Sonny and Olivia were really good today too. I'm hoping maybe we can get a true integration and have the best of both Kate and Connie. I'm not sure about Kate/Connie and Sonny as a couple though.
I'm not buying Laura and Scotty's engagement deal, something smells way off there (or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part). I did enjoy the back and forth between Scotty and Anna today though.
Tracy and Luke are drinking buddies now? So apparently both Luke and Lulu's alcohol problems were only temporary I guess.

I'm not sure we will see Connie come back in the same way she did in the past. In my interpretation of the situation, Connie emerged mostly to keep Kate "safe from Sonny"; that is, Connie's task was to make sure Kate didn't end up as Mrs. Corinthos, and ultimately end up getting killed by one of Sonny's many enemies. Connie has now stopped believing Sonny is the devil incarnate (or at least a mortal threat to Kate) when she went to bed with him, so her task (keeping Kate away from Sonny) is no longer needing to be performed. So rather than having both personalities integrated, Connie disappeared because she no longer has a reason to be.
Of course they'll just toss all that out if they decide they want to bring her back for something else...

JMB knocked her scenes out of the park today. She was amazing! I FLOVED the way she stuck it to Scotty! But yeah, bring it on with Serena. I'd love that.
Luke is drinking again? *drums fingernails in annoyance* This is what RC had to say about the matter:

Luke trying to pin the Ice Princess on Scotty seems like an obvious red herring. I still think it's Rubber Dukey.
I agree, something is a little off with both Laura & Scotty.

@ tealita: I'm not on twitter and appreciated reading the piece regarding Luke's drinking. Other than that, Ron C. seems rather snarky. But that's a whole other matter.
Regarding the episode, I really enjoyed it. Loved Lulu's scenes and her dropping knowledge on both Laura and Scott. Still not seeing an empowered Laura but that's in-character. Love Genie Francis but Laura's always been rather passive.
I find Luke & Tracy highly entertaining but am I the only one who felt Jane Elliott was rather "yelly?" My hands are shaking after writing negative criticism of Jane Elliott who is brilliant. Lol.
The Caleb Morley/Steven Clay connection totally works for me but how will it be explained that John McBain looks exactly like Steven Clay? Hmmm...
I actually thought Molly had a valid point about McBain being the best resource to find Sam & Danny. Still, her actions and then subsequent talk to Alexis, drove me mad. In fact, Anna Devane seemed more upset with Molly and more capable of doing something about it! Perfect example of why I have learned to dislike Alexis Davis_ she's an ineffective parent and lawyer and she's got no spunk or smarts. Man, once upon a time I loved Alexis but bows she's saddled with three lame daughters and a chemistry-free pairing with Shawn. And speaking of Shawn, he sure was wearing that sweater! The character is such a non-entity but he's definitely fine to look act.
I. JUST. CAN'T. With the Kate/Sonny/Olivia scenes. I laughed aloud about the idea of Kate being told all of these events and watching Kelly Sullivan act out the grief all over again! It all felt so absurd and the acting very, very poor for all involved (and I generally like the actors involved.) The story ran it's course months ago and rehashing the events over and over will not make the story powerful or interesting.

Soapbaby--Thank you.
Angie Lucy--I don't know what to say, either. I don't want to be disrespectful toward Geary, and I know that I am riding a fine line here, but I'm flabbergasted by it.

The explanation for Caleb/Steven Clay made absolute sense (so much better than the homoerotic nutjob Franco)however I am not sure how it explains that Lucy knew Livvie and why she thinks Livvie is/was Kevins daughter.
I agree that something is off with Laura. I keep hoping she will grow a backbone. Both Laura and Scotty seem forced as a couple. Not sure what thats about.
Please soap Gods do not go there and put L&L back together. Do not go there please. I would really like for Luke and Tracy back together, Tracy and Luke just seem to fit.
I am bored with Kate already

Confused by a couple of things....
1) The Caleb story doesn't make sense. If he was in PC previously and was a serial killer who had escaped and institution then why didn't the PCPD know this if he was in town using the name Steven Clay? Why didn't Kevin reference that his daughter, Livvie is dead? Why didn't Allison and Lucy know Livvie was dead since McBain so easily googled it?
2) Where is the stronger, more confident Laura that was supposed to come back?
3) If Kate reappeared after being gone for 5 months wouldn't it make sense to get her to a therapost immediately to break the news to her about her son's death? Why hasn't anyone taken her to a shrink??

Another inconsistency I noticed was how Laura said she just "ran into" Scott in Paris by chance, when we the viewers saw very clearly she left PC the last time in a plane WITH Scott.....OK..huh?? LOL

I wholeheartedly agree! Connie was who they all knew as kids/teens. She got angry later in life. Kate from the very beginning was a creation by Connie and was explained that way.
Sadly now that Kate is back I want the character off the show more

WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE!!! But with this new regime as when on OLTL, we are to buy these stories hook line and sinker without question. I don't buy the story but it explains it all neatly... IF they didn't then make Lucy n Allison looks crazy for thinking Caleb is a vampire. Also, the doppelgänger with John n Caleb has to be explained because they are IDENTICAL. There are a lot of holes that I am willing to accept if it means no vampires in port Charles.
As for Alexis and Molly, Molly is a smart kid BUT THE MOST ANNOYING AND BUSY BODY teenager that I have ever seen!! The kid is 15 and just proved that the PCPD are keystone cops lead by Anna!!
I just can't invest 100% in the show because of this type of wroting

I can't figure out why half of you even bother watching this show. Complain...complain... complain...
I thought it was a blast. Chock full of vets!! The Anna and Scotty scenes were absolutely PRICELESS! Loved Lulu and Scotty too. I just hate that the show HAS to acknowledge all the crap storylines Guza inflicted on the show. I absolutely love watching Kelly Sullivan. She turned in yet another brilliant performance.
Luke:The original Ice Princess held the formula to carbonic snow.
Tracy: That's a sentence I didn't expect to hear today.
Meeeeeee either Tracy... and couldn't be happier about it!
Oh and guess what... NO vampires! All those weeks of bitching and complaining about it for nothing.

Anna and Scott was such a thrill. You could see that Finola was happy to see him. I think the whole gang is glad to be on air and have work. I love all the interactions. I am still waiting to see Frisco meet up with Anna and Duke. They also should have Sean and Tiffany stop by just for a day maybe.

Me too. Lulu would wipe the floor with her.
Why? Over a half brother she never knew existed who turned into a psycho?
Serena is barely out of her teens. A Serena/Dante pairing would be worst than a Sabrina/Patrick one. Gross
I agree. I'm not sure if it's the writing, the directing or the acting. Genie is not showing me that she's in love with Scotty. Or him either. He looks like he's happy he's getting one over on Luke and that's about it. If that's what the writing is going for than good job, but otherwise, no.
In their defence, Kate's only been back a couple of hours. She woke up mid night on V Day and ran over to Steve's and slept there and it appears to now be the next day.
It's not complaining, it's discussing the negatives with the positives.
Is that not a complaint??

I admit...I was one who was bitching and complaining about the vampires.
But if this convenient, yet contrived, explanation of the whole situation gets rid of the vampires once and for all, I'm all for it. I hope it will bring back a sane Lucy, but all her histrionics over being the "vampire slayer" have ruined that character for me.
The show was pretty good overall, but I also agree that having to watch Kate mourn Trey (again) was too much. The sooner they integrate her with Connie (who I'm liking much more these days) the better! Once integrated, I hope she dumps Sonny's ass once and for all!

BECAUSE I have watched this soap since I was in 4th grade and LOVED the memories I had watching the show with my mom and being able to remember where I was in life when certain stories took place. I went into TV because of my passion for the genre (mainly GH). It hurts me to criticize the show but I know the potential it has to be good and right now it isn't. People are so happy that Guza and team are gone that they are singing the praises of the show. The darkness and focus on a few characters which Guza did is gone (I applaud that), BUT now the dialogue writing is weaker, characters are out of sync with their history, stories start and are dropped, returned vets are used to get press but aren't given story, there are no couples to root for (where's the romance) and there isn't focus on Jason, Sam, Carly & Sonny, but there is wasted time on characters that have been created that most of us don't care about....Sabrina, Felix, Britt, Kristina, Trey, Connie/Kate, Steve, Olivia.
As a parent I help shape my child because I know the potential he has. It's the same way I view GH. I know its potential and when it isn't meeting it I reprimand it to hopefully make it better.

And another thing....if people didn't use blogs to voice their criticims don't you think blogs would a pretty boring place to visit? If I scrolled through hear reading all the "Cartini" Pollyannas worship for the new improved GH I would be bored and stop visiting the site.

Could someone clue me in to how Scotty is such a bad dude? Regrettably I didnt watch GH back then so I cant make heads or tails about this character and why so many people seem to hate him.
Also for the writers of GH knock this shit off already about people being killed at times its interesting but for those of us who have actually lost someone as I did in 2011 my father we dont want to be constantly reminded of that by hearing: im sorry your son is braindead or he died or she died etc etc etc...
Bring some levity back to this show enough with the realistic drama already sheesh.

I have just found the show delightful. Love having Scotty back!! I love all this interaction with characters and great dialogue.
The only flat parts for me are still Kate/Connie. I appreciate her acting but she gets way to much air time...

Not really. The writers unfortunately don't have a choice but to continually revisit Guza's disastrous story lines in order to go forward. I'm just sorry they have to do that in that first place.

I have always liked Scotty Baldwin. There is nothing that Scotty could ever do that would equal Luke raping Laura on the dance floor like a dog! Scotty was turned "evil" in order to make it acceptable that Laura chose her rapist over her husband at the time.

I am a little confused over that Caleb being Stephan Clay thing, and I used to watch Port Charles. I wonder for those viewers who never watched the show if they are scratching their heads saying what is going on? Ron C seems to love to bring up past histories on all these characters, with all these twist and turns but sometimes it gets to be too confusing. I still don't understand where John McBain is involved in all this? But, it must be fun for Micheal Easton to get to play a part that started his fan following and play a bad guy again.
10 May 2008

So, Luke the child killing rapist is once again drinking? Really? What happened to the intervention staged last year that basically was a "Emmy" bait for AG and JJ? Luke with his drunken ass ran down a four year old and let's not forget that he and Tracy tampered with Alan's will, stole an inheritance that Alan wanted for Jason's children.

Why? Over a half brother she never knew existed who turned into a psycho?
Yeah over a brother that she led on for weeks. The writing made it seem that way at least. When she left Logan she ran straight to Johnny. When the whole Johnny thing ended she went on to Dante. Lulu has been quite the busy little tramp on GH. Logan was a decent guy who really loved her. She led Logan Hayes to become a nut job.
Serena is barely out of her teens. A Serena/Dante pairing would be worst than a Sabrina/Patrick one. Gross
When Serena was on Port Charles she was like 13 years old. Lulu was suppose to be 15- 16 yo. Meaning that Serena is now like 21 I believe a triangle would still be possible especially if Serena turns out to be like her dad and ex-step mom Lucy. Serena could be a trouble little minx.
Lulu is a little to high and all mighty she needs to be knocked down a few notches. Someone needs to come on and give her a challenge that's why JMB is looking to leave. She wants better material and giving her someone to go toe to toe with would give her something else to do. Lulu needs to find her arch nemesis.

I think I died and went to glory when Tracy accused Scott of having a "dangerously high forehead" and Luke said he had "bad luck troll hair"!!
Ron Carlivati really does have a sense of humor......
I don't know why previous writing regimes liked killing off Scott's kids, but I feel that killing off Logan and Karen were both unnecessary and just sensationalistic garbage. Bringing back Serena would be a good story, to reunite her with her father and her surrogate mother, Lucy. But since Lucy spends all her time these days rambling on incessantly about vampires, I don't think it makes sense. Furthermore, GH already has a FULLLLL HOUSE.....and that's WITHOUT John Stamos.
