Looks amazing!!!
Not only do we get Laura back, but we get to see Laura & Liz scenes, talking about Liz's lovelife, her kids and in her house! How amazing is that!

Thinking of Laura & Liz reminds me of all of those years ago when Liz shows to the Spencer home looking for Lucky and meets Laura for the first time. Liz had recently been raped and Laura shows her such warmth and tenderness. For me, Laura was the "heart" of GH in the mid-late 90's. Heck, GH had so much heart in the Labine years and continued in the Cullington years. GH has gotten so far away from what made it special to me. First, veering into a "Sopranos"-lite show under Guza to uber-campy under Carvialti. I wish the GH of the mid-90's was honored more because I thought the Claire Labine penned years were the best the show has ever been.

I love that they segued to L and D right after Luke and Laura.
And while I think there are certain qualities that are shared between these two couples, L and D need/should/can be written with a modern sensibility as it relates to anything "adventure" oriented, while still being grounded in the reality of current "everyday" concerns (ie: Her running the Haunted Star, he maintaining his schedule at PCPD). Where L's parents weren't kept together, whether by Cassadine curses or poor writing choices, I have always loved that she and D are defying those same aspects that would thwart their staying together. That she and D are making their marriage work where her parents and brother (Lucky) couldn't, makes them rootable in my book. And especially in light of this surrogacy gone awry as well as the coming 50th anniversary. And yes, that's just me!
I don't include Nikolas and Ethan in the mix because Emily was taken away, Rebecca was a poorly written interloper, and Kristina wasn't allowed the time to set up the romance with Ethan that a fair amount of us wanted to see.
If there's any idea of Luke and Laura being brought back together, I'd rather RC do it gradually, as opposed to, say, two weeks and everybody's hunky dory. We've been reading a lot about being patient on some of the threads here at DC and yes, I've already admitted my patience is being tried and stretched to the nth degree. However, knowing GF/Laura is back (along with many others), gives me a nice cushion of comfort to wrap my mind around. Even with the annoyances that I know will be a part of this build up to April first, I find myself, if not content, at least grateful and yes, thankful, that I have a GH 50th Anniversary to look forward to. We almost couldn't say that about a year ago...

I want Bobbie there to tell Laura off! I always loved scenes between those two

YES YES!! I still remember the scene where Bobbie and Laura square off over Nikolas. Bobbie was married to Stefan and Bobbie called Nikolas her son and was saying how horrible Laura was to Nikolas. That was a great scene. Both of them had so much anger in the voice and eyes. I need to see them at each other's throats also.
I just hate the fact that we have to see Courtney when celebrating GH's 50 years on air.

So, am wondering if any of GH's African-American characters will be making a return for GH50... there have been some over the years... perhaps this is a good time to have them return... connect Sean/Shawn/Shaun and TJ to GH'S history... any info would be great... perhaps even a story talking about the people of colour from GHs history... thanks
