Who Should Sonny be With on Days of Our Lives?

I kind of wish they wouldn't have villified Brian so quickly and making it so obvious he won't be ending up with Sonny for real. It takes away from the possibilities and excitement of something else than WilSon, in an unnecessary way. I do want WilSon together, but it would have been nice to see some competition.

That's true. Brian is not in the long term cards for Mr Kiriakis (Sonny). So it looks like Will is the man.

Let's face it, Brian looks like a model, and me-thinks that that ol wandering-eyed Sonny is going to go for looks and physique, over Mr Horton, probably in the short term. Will seems like a nice kid from Salem, whereas the little I have seen of Brian, he seems like he's lived around the block. Who knows, maybe if DAYS gets some nards, they will have a long drawn out s/l involving Gabi, too?

I would love it for Sonny to have both. Be with Will as end game, but definitely sec it up with Brian before settling in.

Sorry Will, but Brian and Sonny were pure heat! But since it's not just a sex thing, I say Sonny and Will should be the end game.

I say Brian. I'm pretty sure Will and Sonny are end game, but Sonny is vulnerable and hurt right now. It would be nice to see him seek comfort from Brian, which could lead to a juicy triangle.

I think Sonny and Brian have more chemistry, but it's obvious that he'll go back to Will.

I only wish that the writers would develop Sonny's character a bit more. He still has a very bland personality, IMO.

I haven't seen Brian onscreen but I voted for Sonny/Brian! LOL. I just could not imagine Sonny having less chemistry with him as he does with Will. I like the idea of WilSon better than the actual couple. Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey have no romantic chemistry IMO.

Will has 99 problems and a bitch IS one, to paraphrase Mr. Beyoncé.

Well, I'm a die-hard WilSon fan so obviously I want those two together. Having said that, I'm also totally on Sonny's side regarding the whole Will-lied-about-being-a-baby-daddy situation--I love Will but I don't see him as nearly the victim his hypocritical mother does--so I get that he would need some time to sort it all out. Still, I kinda wish the writers hadn't gone straight to instigating douchebag as far as the Brian character goes(poor Will looked heartbroken after seeing Sonny with him and then thinking even more happened based on Brian's insinuations); I think it would've been novel for him to actually be a nice guy rather than making him the villain in an archetypal soap triangle(I will say I appreciate that Brant Daugherty is obviously committed to that role and that he actually knows how to kiss another man--there's major chemistry between him and Freddie Smith--something that CM often seems a little hesitant about).

@Hey mon--Why must you and I always be at odds?(JK ). Okay, yes Brian is model-hot but have you actually looked at Will? He might have a baby face--and his current haircut does him no favors--but the body underneath those clothes is slammin' in all kinds of awesome ways(and Sonny has acknowledged more than once how hot he thinks Will is and I'm in total agreement).

Will (Chandler Massey) is adorable and Chandler is a terrific actor but he is a man-child and Sami's son, so he comes with a lot of baggage and crazy.

By contrast, Brian (Brant Daughtery) knows who he wants and who he wants is Sonny (Freddie Smith).

While Will and Sonny make an adorable couple, if Sonny wants a relationship and lots of hot man-on-man sex, go with Brian.

Sonny and Brian sizzle! They have so much more chemistry than WilSon, so do Sonny and Chad. Will is too immature and naive to be in a serious relationship right now.

Brian and Sonny were so so. Will and Sonny aren't exactly sizzling, but they could if both weren't such good characters. Will needs to go back to taking a walk on the dark side. Then WilSon would be buzz-worthy!

sonny and will belong together.... and brian belongs with ME!!! jesus that man is fine. i bursted out laughing so hard when he turned on that smooth jazz with the wine but he's so damn handsome i love him anyway... it's too hard watching will be sad- get back together with sonny! <3

You guys have a lot of great insight on DAYS and Y&R that I find very accurate. Plus, where else could I find another Stoney07, who can remember every ep of Y&R from the past 20 years better than me? Or tedew, who hates Victor Newman as much as me? Or the great appreciation that everyone has for Eileen Davidson?

Anyway, I am thinking that maybe Sonny should be paired with Brian, cause some of the clips I watched of The Show from 2011, I think The Powers should pair Will with EJ. As a romance, not as some strange domination thing. It could be like the show SOAP from the 1970s, except it would be, Mother and son compete for a guys affection.

@Hey mon--I've probably been a little harsh on some, you included, in the past(talk about sticking your foot in your mouth) but I've come to appreciate the thoughtfulness, not to mention open-mindedness, behind alot of your posts and enjoy reading them(still not sure I can get my back into a strip club storyline but....).

Also, nice that you mentioned Will and EJ as a possible romance, not a master/slave domination thing like every other poster. EJ has endless potential not to be a complete dick--the last few weeks, and yesterday's ep with he and Sami, is proof of that--and that EJ I'd be completely on board with if they paired him with Will(and yeah, maybe Sonny with Brian because I still want Sonny on the show and the two did bring some heat).

If this were not a soap and if the writers weren't trying to perpetuate the idea of Sonny's being a total saint and worshipper at the altar of Will Horton, Sonny and Brian would have done the deed.

ChrisGa, heymon has indeed come a long way from the days when he used to make posts that insinuated that ALL gay men are sluts and not interested in committed relationships or marriage just because he happened to have an extremely vocal and inappropriate gay man working in his office.

SoapA -- There you go again. First of all, I wouldn't trade Colin for any other secretary in the world. (Hopes he's reading this). He is great at typing, organizing the office, planning our quarterly parties, and has redecorated the place and done it on budget! No secret that people are moving on, and he may be moving up.

I hear it constantly hearing 'it' from almost everyone I know that I am too accepting of homosexuals, almost to the point of people whispering about me (doesn't help that I watch Daytime, either). Then I hear it from the couple of male and female homosexuals I know, that I'm simply not progressive enough. So how can I win?

I'll tell you how you "lose". You lose when you allow all those people you know to question your right to have friendships with whomever you choose, to imply that a person's sexuality is not an integral part of his/her humanity, and to make it seem acceptable to devalue fellow human beings just because their sexual orientation is different.
