Is Meredith Vieira Exploring a Return to Daytime?

What might Meredith Vieira do to keep herself busy after leaving Who Wants to be a Millionaire? According to the New York Times, Vieira is exploring returning to daytime television with a syndicated talks show, produced by a division of NBC Universal. Reportedly, Vieira’s talk show could replace The Jeff Probst Show.
The 10 stations owned by NBC are among those that carry Mr. Probst, but his show is underperforming the season’s other new entrants, including Ms. Couric and Steve Harvey, whose talk show is syndicated by NBCUniversal. NBC might seek to pair Mr. Harvey’s show with one by Ms. Vieira.
I would absolutely love to see Vieira return to daytime talk. I always preferred her over those who filled her chair after her departure on The View. Will daytime fans welcome Vieira back? Sound off in the comments!

Yea I would watch Meredith over Katie any day she has a way of making you feel like she actually cares about your problems.
And she certainly deserves it more than ANY of the current hair models aside from the likes of Ellen.

I don't care for her and could care less what she thinks about anybody. Having said that, she does have a faithful fan base.

She does better with a partner and someone to banter with, put her with Hoda. They are better together than Hoda and KLG. I don't see the point of her doing a talk show on her own, we have Ellen for that. We already have way too many talk shows already!
