Cane Plugs in Lily’s "Crimson Lights" on The Young and the Restless
Lily (Christel Khalil) sent Cane (Daniel Goddard) on a treasure hunt, with the hint of red Christmas lights in a box. Of course he found her at Crimson Lights, where she teased him about hopping into bed. It didn’t take them long to rush off so Cane could light his wife up like a Christmas tree.
After everything Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) put Kevin (Greg Rikaart) through when they covered up how her shrink died, she told Jack (Peter Bergman) she couldn’t be mixed up in the death of the prostitute. Jack said he'd understand if she had to scram. Victor (Eric Braeden) once again told his investigator to make sure there was absolutely no connection between him and the prostitute.
At Jabot, Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Leslie (Angell Conwell) started to kiss, but were interrupted by her brother walking in. The two quickly separated.
After having sex, Noah (Robert Adamson) went to put an iPod in Adriana’s (Jhoanna Flores) purse, but found a bank statement with someone else’s name on it. Furious, he threw her out for lying to him.
Note: Much of Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless was pre-empted by a Presidential press conference.

Adriana, a bust (and she has no bust, boo!).
Alex, should be on more, other than just pop-up-a-cop.
Tyler, a joke, a parody of a young man. First month at Jabot and he is going after the bosses' wife? Always horny? Weird.
Mason is good, too bad he's recurring.
Fenmore Baldwin I, one of MAB's creations. Fantastic, a conglomerate of emotions. A true villain.
As far as Lily goes, she is stuck in the Lane role forever. Forever. She can never get out of it. It's like Marlena and John, or Bo and Hope. Even though this is Y&R, and everyone is usually bust-up-able on Y&R, Lane is not. MAB tried to kill him off, but DG's fans went berserk. He gas-lighted her on Momma's orders, she slept with Daniel, but MAB had orders to still bring them together. So it's good to see them together as a stable couple.

Show better under MAB? There was plenty to bitch about under MAB, but this shit is just plain boring, with the exception of Phack. Glad she is away from Nick. Her sister is now becoming the new Phyllis, front and center now with SB coming to GC.
Exciting to watch, wait huh, wake me up when its time for B&B, and B&B is just ssdd. Except for $Bill stabbing himself.
New characters worth the screen time? HELL to the NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
It will soon be the Dylan and Avery hour, next to this Adriana person, who I for one cannot stand, she looks like Noah's little sister, and flat out after him for the cash, is this boy stupid? Well then he might have inherited a whole brain cell between his parents.

As Tracy Abbot 101 said yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I have to agree it is better, music and all. I think the old and the new are great together. The scene with Sarge was funny though. The acting he was pulling out of his ass was something horrible and I know Jessie can do better. I was loving Lily and Cane. I love beautiful black girls with their hot white daddies. I'm a black boy and I have a hot white daddy. All of you haters should sit back and enjoy the ride. It was funny when they made a funny about the new regime hiring Sharon back to Newman. Just love it.

Not liking Adriana, but I know I'm not supposed to be liking her right now, so I'm willing to ride this out a little longer. I'm so glad it's not just me re: Tyler -- he's pretty, but so incredibly unlikeable and unbelievable. It's actually made me somewhat appreciate Lily in that so far, she's behaving pretty much like I would imagine I would if I were married -- "You have good ideas and it would be great working with you but your interest in my skyrockets in flight/box of Crimson Lights at the Athletic Club are getting creepier by the hour."
But I have to say, while I love that the son of Lauren Fenmore and Michael Baldwin is exhibiting his inner teen Lauren Fenmore and Michael Baldwin, I feel like Ricky is back. The so-not-subtle comments about Jamie not being around much longer, the cold calculating demeanor...not to mention the fact that every time Paul looks at Fen, all I can think about is "Isn't this reminding him EXACTLY of Ricky?" It just feels too soon after the Ricky's death saga for these particular characters to be dealing with such a dark young man again. And if I were Paul, I would stop looking out windows and over precipices at night.

The question on the floor is:
Y&R: New, improved, status quo, worse, etc.
I think the segments are moving faster, and 'they' are trying to use or expand the appearance of space better. (Eg., I don't remember the Abbot cottage having a kitchenette before, but I may be wrong. But at least cell phones seem to work there now!)
Adrianna (I mean A-dreary-anna)... I thought the original Eden was long gone. These angsty skanks drag those Newman boys down. We had Chelsea - who I quite like now - and don't need Adrianna.
The 1/2 mil plot is a black hole. It's sucking everything into it but there is no substance to it. And the behaviour of Kevin/Chloe is - to put it bluntly - an insult to the audience, the actors and to all mortgagees everywhere. When I run short, I call family. Why the attitude of not taking money from Kaye, Michael, or Esther. Esther must have millions socked away by now, especially since Kaye died several times and Esther could have sold the priceless candle sticks by now. She should be easily as rich as Jean Valjean by now.
Fen... he must have watched Peter Porte closely. I can't stand those obvious self-nudge/winks to his nastiness. (Maybe he's Sheila's spawn - that'll be the next story. Lauren endures another baby swap story.) And he is a funny-looking kid... kind of a Norman Bates-lite but less character.
Tyler... he would be fired by now in the real world for his sexual innuendo, alone. And considering his sister is legal counsel and now we learn they have a big SECRET... so let's be sure to make ourselves noticed. I've been told I'm arrogant ... ME...of all people. But I've never been that needy!
Nikki is again growing a pair and tearing the despicable and despicably-acted Victor a NEWone. HE is so tiresome. And where were these co-execs when he commandeers his old office and calls the media. He is so POWERFUL. He's his own tmz.com: one snap of his old claws and the multitudes assemble.
Billy has charisma, but has got to stop mugging while waiting the 'cut' to be called. It must be his balls that Nikki has grown.
And Cane... my oh my. What a piece of work. Multiple identities, instant business genius, and mean to his mother! Terrible. Get rid of him and give Lily someone who can actually deliver a scene without looking like he's going to pass out. And in that Y&R universe where no one but Adam seems to have any self-awareness of their own misdeeds... he has the nerve to judge other people!
Victoria. Time for Daddy's girl to die... for real. NOTHING going on there. She is one stupid, insipid, mean-spirited gal. Makes me miss Tearsha.
Phyllis and her retinue can wait till another day.

If you don't like him, I get it but to make negative comments just to cut him down is ridiculous. I bet your kids go to school and bully their classmates.

I was on Twitter today. It seems the Cane/Lily fanatics are still bitching and complaining and not the least bit happy with how TPTB are writing their beloved couple. I guess they want them in EVERY episode, predominantly featured.
They have a new campaign in an attempt to get what they want. No planes this time. This time they intend to bombard the network heads with snail mail, and send "gift baskets" to Daniel Goddard and Christel Khalil.

As the father of a Lane fan (18-yr old daughter), I can tell you that they are a dedicated bunch of gals. Im glad that she doesnt go over-board with her love for Cane Ashby, because he is fiction. Dan Goddard seems pretty creepy in real life, posting near naked pics of himself.
It's all part of their attraction for a guy who doesnt cheat on his wife. (Also part of the Shadam thing, as well) Think of it -- Cane's almost unreal. All he does, he does for Lily and the twins. Morning, noon, and night. The beautiful and dejected Ashley Abbott sat on his desk, hiked up her skirt, back in April 2012, and the guy didn't bat an eye. That's impressive.
The Lane fans will get their way. They single-handedly forced MAB to resurrect Cane in the Spring of 2011. She had to come up with the whole convoluted Gen/Caleb/ghost of Cane garbage, to re-integrate Cane back into the Show. But its what the Lane girls & women wanted.
So Tyler is a doomed character, if Josh G continues to write him as an arrogant horny guy who cant wait to boink his bosses married wife, Lily. And that would be sad for Redric Williams, cause he probably needs a paycheck like everybody else. They should try a Tyler/Devon/Roxanne triangle, or add Abby for a quad. Anything wold be better than what Josh is doing now.
