Will Victor Ruin Jack on The Young and the Restless?
By Luke Kerr on January 14, 2013
Jack’s (Peter Bergman) battle with prescription drugs isn’t the only war he’s facing on The Young and the Restless this week. Victor’s (Eric Braeden) ever-present threat to Ole' Smilin' Jack's control of Newman and Jabot looms. Can Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) get her ex-husband to face how much danger his empire is in?
Meanwhile, Tyler (Redaric Williams) entices Lily (Christel Khalil), as Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Avery’s (Jessica Collins) romance remains front and center. Watch this week’s The Young and the Restless promo after the jump!

Sigh. I'm really tired of TGVN winning all the time. Just like the bully on GH. Although that's been "rectified" to a certain extent...

The semi-backburning of Victurd and SyPhyllis is the best thing the new regime has done so far. Both have been taken down a notch under JG.

I agree with the above post.
Phyllis especially is somewhat likable again now that she's focused on her daughter and Jack.
Victor will most likely always have some sort of story. I just wish FOR ONCE he wasn't obsessed with Jack and that he and Nikki had more screen time together as a couple as we knew them back in the day.

The way Phyll is being written right now is perfect -- Phack. She's on just the right amount of time, too. Great job, Josh G.
Less Victor is always better.

I love it right now. It is the right mix of airtime for everyone. New and old. Love it. Its so funny. You got the crackhead in charge of a conglemerate. A black man chasing Lily who'll never get wit her. Last but not least a little Negro boy getting ready to inherit it all. It's great television. Victor chasing his company like a Kat chases a mouse, is great. While its being helmed by is arch frenemy Billy the gambler boy Abbot. It's fab TV.

Totally agree. While some think Phyllis has lost her edge a bit under Griffith, I say she's behaving far more like a human being and less like a whirling dervish who's not happy unless she's screaming like a banshee at the top of her lungs at somebody(and this is coming from someone who thinks MS is a goddess and believes she's doing some mighty fine work opposite Peter Bergman right now). And yes, the character balance is far more streamlined now than it was when it was The Victor and Phyllis Hour.

Does anyone really care?? I have lost count at how many times they have tried to take over each other's company. It has been so played out and so boring. I did not think the show could get any worse that it was under MAB's supervision, but JFP and Chuck Griffith have proven me wrong. The worst of the three I record....

ADRIAN, just keeps getting worse. What a shame, with all the talent around they picked this untalented hick.

You know IF TGVN was not on the show....nor Nikki.........it would probably go off the air as no one would be interested in it. JMO
