Dollar Bill Falls on Liam's Tiny Sword on The Bold and the Beautiful
Daytime Confidential’s Jamey Giddens is right; Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) instant drinking problem is contrived, lazy and out of nowhere. Everytime a character brings up Dollar Bill's "problem with alcohol", I just roll my eyes. This subplot came out of left field — much like Bill's decision to stab himself with Liam's (Scott Clifton) miniature sword necklace charm.
At Forrester, Thomas (Adam Gregory) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) discussed their fashion lines and the competition against Rick (Jacob Young), Hope (Kimberly Matula) and Caroline (Linsey Godfrey). Of course, the conversation turned to Steffy and Liam (Scott Clifton). Steffy said Aspen just does something to her and Liam. She also insisted they are at a place in their relationship that Hope can’t touch.
At Liam’s house, Hope continued to insist Bill had destroyed their chance to be together. She also insisted she didn’t want to come between the father and son, because she knew what Liam’s relationship with Bill meant to him.
Liam drove off to confront his dad, flashing back to several instances where Bill bullied Liam into being the son he wants him to be. At his father’s house, Liam told Bill they were over. They’d see each other at work, but that was it. When Bill said he’d do better, Liam told his father he didn’t believe him. Liam took off the sword necklace and gave it back to Bill, saying he didn’t like what it represented.
As Liam was about to leave the house in a huff, Bill stabbed himself with the tiny sword! Once again, I rolled my eyes. The great Bill Spencer fell on Liam's tiny sword? Seriously? Joel McHale will love that scene on The Soup.
