And I agree about VR. Personally, I think she is a self serving pain in the a$$. She is JUST as much to blame for all the backstage drama. That being said, if all these people want jobs, suck it up and work together. Eric Braden and Peter Bergman got into it years ago. Are they BFFs now? No! Are they professional? Yes.

@jcmellencamp78: Right when you are trying to save the genre or your show, you lay down law and say "THIS IS HOW IT IS GONNA BE!" Sorry but Michelle Stafford is not carrying Y&R. It is time to pull out the big guns. You have to throw every weapon you got at them ratings to get them up! This is a war to save daytime! And at least folks at ABC are throwing everything and the kitchen sink to do so.

@david46208 Could NOT agree more about Stafford!!!!! I couldn't stomach her under MAB. She has toned down so much under JG. Her and Peter Bergman play so well off eachother. Also, Christel Kalhil DEFINTELY isn't carryin the show . So if she can't play nice with VR, send Lily to Paris or something!

I don't care for Sabrina or Britt--they're so thinly written. I also don't like the actress playing Sabrina, though I think the actress playing Britt is competent but in an impossible position. But here's the thing with the newbies: They're cheap! Cartini did this before in order to take the story in new directions and fill airtime on OLTL...it didn't work out so well there but the economics of it are sound. Finola Hughes and Genie Francis are expensive and you can't have them on the show every day.

More proof that Ron and Frank are the soap power team to be reckoned with! Sounds like the show is gearing up for a great 50th anniversary. And take that Jill Farren Phelps! I do love that this is after yesterday's announcement. Pow! lol

Welcome back Ms. Francis! It'll be interesting to see how she returns, she's been hinting she didn;t want to do typical Laura redux. So, either she's been accommodated, or she just wanted to be home for the 50th?!? I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back to help usher off Geary, who's retiring from GH after the 50th celebrations come and go.

Frankly, Genie could sit in Kellys and read me the phone book and I'd be a happy camper!

I have to admit, Ron and Frank got thrown into GH with both feet firmly on the ground. It amazes how quickly they are fixing what Guza and Phelps spent a better part of a decade destroying!

While I am not fan of all the newbies, they are necescary. Not just for a bugetary reason, but they do help drive story. While FV/RC maybe don't always execute a new addition perfectly, they do it much better than most regimes of recent memory. Guza and phelps shoved Claudia down our throats. Also, RC and FV don't always put newbies at the expense of vets. (see MAB's Y&R). Granted, they have done it in the past (see Ford Family on OLTL). But they also featured the Buchanan's, Lord's, and Cramers.

I pose this question to the group: We might complain about the newbies, but didn't we complain when the Unholy Trio dominated our screens for the better part of a decade?

After this last disappointment, I have resigned myself to my favorite of all time never coming back to Y&R. But I admit to being just as vindictive as those that are keeping her away and am delighted that Y&R appears to be sinking fast and losing ground to GH and B&B. May all our faces be spited and missing a nose.

Under Ron and Frank, PC is no longer darkness, depression, and violence. I think its wonderful.

I came home from teaching, fired up the old PC (yes, no lap top or i-pad here. Have enough trouble without all that new tech stuff, LOL!), and what should greet my wondering eyes ? This wonderful news that our Genie is coming back!!! A big thank you to Mr. Valentini and Mr. Carlivati who have recognized the VALUE of verteran talent and have not been timid in getting them back into the mix. Do the stories have to improve? Absolutely, (I have tremendous reservations about the present surogacy debacle ), but the addition of this same veteran talent offers opportunity for the writing and and production to be taken to a, if not sensible end, than at least a more satisfying one. And that is also a good thing. I pray that Genie's Laura is given an intelligent story that capitalizes on her good nature as well as the resilient strength that I've always loved and admired. And I so want my beloved L and D to be in the center of that Spencer family circle with her. Now we have to get (fingers crossed), Lucky (JJ? Please?)back as well as Ethan (recast, obviously. As for Luke? You know at this point, if that "Super Couple" ship has sailed, I'm okay with it. As long as they recognize that it was there and don't dismiss it or abuse it the way Guza and Wolf did, I'll take Luke and Laura seperately. I just want Laura to be back in her rightful place in PC. And now, I do believe I'm going to crack open a refreshing adult beverage and toast General Hospitals great fortune. Welcome Home Laura, Welcome Back Genie!!! You both have been missed!!! I am so excited!!!

I for one love Sabrina, Ellie, Felix, and I can stand Britt if they match her up with AJ. They have let go of Trey and I believe that there may be many of the actors who are not contracted, which leaves plenty of funds to continue with them.

GF returning is great news, however I would prefer seeing her return with Scott. Luke and Laura is classic but a round two would require incredible writing ( A la Vicki and Clint). GF is still in her prime and should have a guy who can hold his own in a scene with her. I think AG is a great actor but I want him to fight for Laura. Duke and Laura would also be interesting but imagine a Robert and Laura story line. WOW!!!! Anyway I would just like Laura to have a good story with some hot twists and turns.

Did anyone else hear about a new Ethan returning for Kristina? Hopefully one without an accent. If they bring Ethan back with an accent at least let it be revealed that he indeed is Robert and Holly's son.

I also hope GF returns as hot as when she left. It is amazing how when Vanessa Marcil was on the show they would dress her like a teen girl which turned me off completely. Yet when Finola Hughes wears similar attire, it just works for her. This just goes to show that older women can pull sexy off better than the youngons at times.

The number one reason I'm thrilled about this return is that it will hopefully take Luke completely out of Anna's orbit. It better! I love Frank and Ron as I've reiterated many times on here, but that storyline move was simple blasphemy and so gross!

This team will probably give her good writing. Take her out of the coma crap and let her have a brain, if you know what I mean.

I still don't like the old Luke. He seems worn to me. I won't bust any happy feelings many have at this point so I will leave it at that. I just know where I want the luke story to go. It is time. I am just not attracted to guys who cannot let go of youth. That is, unless they are a rock singer.
In those cases, it is inevitable because of the profession. It is what it is.

I'm thrilled Genie is returning to GH,I for one loved her as Genevieve and I also loved her with SN Tucker. It's the writers fault for not writing for her character properly,they dropped the ball as SN and she have tremendous chemistry whether on Y&R or GH. I'd love it for him to return as Stefan. She and he made a much better match them old granddaddy Luke. TG has given several interviews lately and even though he said he and Genie were soulmates in the acting department he didn't like the L&L scenario and it was boring to him. He said it would have to be beneficial for him and his character for Laura to return. I don't want her with him as he's way to old for her and Genie doesn't need him to shine. She was on GH way before TG ever was and I believe he had alot to do with her not returning to the show more often. He likes playing a darker Luke so let him be and bring back Stephen Nichols for Genie so they can shine as they did many years ago. They also need to team up to kick Helenas but once and for all!

Finally!!!! I'm excited to see Genie Francis back where she belongs. I really hope they can work out a long time deal and she's not only back for a short stint.

Now I only wish that Jonathan Jackson would return as soon as he finished filming the 1st season of "Nashville". It would be great to see the Spencer family.
