Good Morning America Set to Win First November Sweeps in 17 Years!
By Luke Kerr on November 27, 2012

Good Morning America keeps gathering reasons to pop open bottles of champagne. According to Broadcast & Cable, GMA is on the verge of winning November sweeps for the first time in 17 years.
Averaging 5.35 total viewers, GMA is set to take the crown in both total viewers and among the 25-54 demo. Thus far, long running champ Today has been averaging 4.89 million total viewers. CBS This Morning remains at the back of the pack with 2.79 million total viewers.

Poor Robin Roberts. This isn't good news. GMA wins their first November sweeps in 17 years and she hasn't been on the show for over 2 months. Amy Roebuck who has been filling in should get ready to ask for a raise.

GMA is not a very good quality morning news show and IMO, the worst of the morning shows from the three major networks. CBS This Morning is by far the best and most focused on ACTUAL NEWS! GMA seems to edge out The Today Show in utter ridiculousness and fluff. Today's Professionals segment is worthwhile whereas GMA offers nothing of value and feels like Entertainment Tonight or EXTRA in the A.M.

Although Robin Roberts has been off the show, she has been a presence almost every day. They talk about her and follow her recovery and her tweets make news.
I think if GMA wants to thank anyone, it should be Ann Curry. I think Today's shabby treatment of her has turned a lot of former fans off. Suddenly, Matt Lauer is not being seen as the white knight of morning television and the image of the Today team as a "family" has evaporated.
I agree with soapbaby. The CBS Morning News is by far the better show. If only people would give it a chance...

Once again, I agree wholeheartedly about CBS This Morning. THE class act of the morning news shows, bar none.

I definitely agree w/TVGord esp re: Robin's presence on the show (also re: Matt Lauer).

The Today Show is suffering because of the Kardashian 9-11 mishap and the firing of Ann Curry.

Actions have consequences and now Matt Lauer knows this first hand. He stabbed Ann Curry in the back and everyone knows what a true arrogant jerk he is. I, like many other Today Show viewers, have turned the channel to Good Morning America. Frankly, I think it is much more watchable than Today and the overall tone of the show is addicting. There's enough hard news, but the whole crew is more appealing. The Today Show is phony. When Lauer leaves, I may take a look, but not until he's shown the door. NBC is getting exactly what it deserves, the rasberry.

I hate to say it but I think the show is better without RR. I particularly like Elizabeth Vargas much better than her or Amy R. After reading about what an ***hole Josh Elliot is, they should replace him with Ann Curry. Lara S. is too airheaded for me, but Geoge S. is a strong asset.

I love GMA, I know a lot of people have issues with Jousha but I truly luv him and Sam Champ and Robin Roberts dynamic they have together. But I'm not gonna lie if I had a choice IMO Chris would be back on the show now he can get it

This year, I switched to GMA after being a lifelong Today Show viewer. Guess what? It's just as bad, if not worse. As the poster above said it's like an extended episode of EXTRA.
I'm now trying out The CBS Morning News and liking it.

I never liked the Today show. I think it's morning glut is finally taking its toll. GMA is mostly fluff, but it seems like CBS changes it up so often they can't get into a routine that I can watch either. It does actually have the best news however.
