Do Josh Elliott's Good Morning America Co-Workers Hate Him?

Josh Elliott reportedly isn't winning the Mr. Popularity contest on the set of Good Morning America, according to Page Six. A show insider allegedly leaked this tidbit to the New York Post column:
“Josh yells at staffers, including his own writers, saying things like, ‘Who the [bleep] wrote this?’ — while he is miked-up, so everyone in the studio can hear.”
Oh Joshy, say it ain't so?! Well, his E.P. Tom Cibrowski reportedly did just that, saying Elliot was a "team player". According to Page Six, however, Elliott's personal and professional behavior is such a sore spot, the brass at ABC had a meeting about it last week. Maybe this is why I've been hearing ABC News hopes to retool Good Afternoon America with Lara Spencer opposite a different co-host?

Boy morning shows have a lot of drama. First Today show with Matt Lauer and now this...
Fun.

I know a lot of people who come to this site had an immediate hate on for Good Afternoon America from the start, but I watched it with as open a mind as I could. I had never seen Josh Elliott before, but his attitude from the start was that we viewers should all have known way too much about his life and who he is. He would mention his daughter and talk about her as though she was a celebrity herself. I knew Lara Spencer from some of her previous work and I wasn't a fan, but his blowhard behavior actually made me feel sorry for her.
All of that backstory is just to lead up to this: If this is true (it's The Post, after all), I am not surprised.

he was extremely hated/disliked when he was at ESPN, so it's no surprise.

I love GMA just the morning show but didn't watch the afternoon one, but it something about that Josh kid that rubs me the wrong way about him. I don't care for him on GMA, because he a douche!
@The_Moustache I've heard he wasn't liked at ESPN so he must be feeling himself like he all that and a bag of cheddar cheese chips...

So what he's tall, dark, and handsome. He has every right to be a douche if he wants. I enjoy him.

I can't stand him. He is constantly talking about his daughter to make it sound like he is a good dad. The reason Josh and his wife divorced was because Josh was cheating on her. Rumor is that he had an affair with WABC's Liz Cho (who was also married). Josh is quite the man around town and disposes of women left and right. Not sure what they see in him. He reminds me of Herman Munster.

Not surprise, if this is true. You're right @theMoustache, heard that was one of the reasons why he "left" ESPN, no one liked him over there.

Oh wow! I've commented on him before. He jumps out at me as being extremely stuck on himself and seems like a little brat in a big lug's body. Underneath I'm sure he's very scared and insecure. And I agree with the others that it's VERY irritating that he's always mentioning his daughter....Dude, millions of people have daughters! And he's not sexy or charming to me in the least. So I guess I should say what I really feel, right? LOL

I love how it's the MEN who are being divas on these morning shows. All too often we hear stories about women being catty and hard to work with. However for the life of me, I can't see why he is even on that show, he is such a meathead! I say GMA should hire Cameron Mathison...he is likable, charming, and he seems pretty down to earth.

I think the problem is that every low level producer now wants to be the next Andy Cohen from Bravo - so they run to the Post with every bit of gossip and innuendo hoping to get a media career.

A little surprised to hear this. I didnt think Josh Elliot was that bad. I dont think they should retool GAA. It was bad enough and it wont change if you ditch Elliot and get someone else to be with Lara Spencer.
I bet the ratings would go through the roof if NBC mentioned Matt Lauer thing and ABC mentioned this Josh Elliot tidbit.

To be Andy Cohen you have to sleep with Barry Diller and most people aren't willing to do that.

I can hardly believe this is up for discussion. Why make a pig out of a sows ear or so they say. This show stinks and so does ABC. They are beyond narrow minded. Hate ABC.

I do not like either one of them. Lara S is so annoying. She overdoes the perkiness. Comes off fake or something. There is no way I want to watch either one every day. ABC is trainwreck.

Have the representatives of ABC-Disney LOST THEIR MINDS???!!!;( A season ago, they've cancelled "Good Afternoon, America"-now there's buzz of it being brought back??!! Have they learned from all of this? I guess not.

They didn't "cancel" GAA. It was brought on to fill the nine-week gap between the end of The Revolution and the move of GH to 2pm. It completed the run it was created to fill.
I am surprised they are planning to bring it back. If I worked at The Chew, I'd be a little nervous right now.

The guy is a creep and you can tell he's a prick. Just another TV talking-head asshole with an over inflated ego. What's new?
