General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Carly can’t believe AJ is standing in front of her. AJ says boo and Carly trips, falls and knocks herself out. Sonny wakes her up and she starts screaming about AJ being alive. Sonny thinks Carly is seeing things because at the site of Jason's death. Carly swears she saw AJ, so Sonny decides to prove AJ is still dead.
Johnny angrily grabs his gun, determined to kill Todd, but Connie stops him. She tells him whatever he's planning is not worth going to prison. She reminds him that after killing Starr’s daughter and boyfriend, murdering her father would only make things worse. Johnny calms down, but Connie's persistent flirting infuriates him again. Connie taunts that Johnny will never get Carly back. In turn, Johnny questions whether she just likes hurting people.
Connie declares hurting others is better than being hurt, and wonders if Johnny wants to compare pain. She reminds him of her rape and points out the worst he's experienced is his sister actually being his mother. Johnny reminds her Anthony tried to kill him, but Connie counters that it’s better than having a man force himself on you. Connie says sex is a weapon and she uses it before it uses her. She claims Kate had it easy, because she didn't have any memories of the rape and the baby.
Monica and Alice are about to search for AJ, when Tracy and Luke come home and ask what's going on. Monica makes up an excuse, which Tracy doesn't buy. Luckily, Tracy doesn't care and goes about her business. Monica tells Alice she doesn’t want Tracy to be suspicious.
Michael informs Starr he saw AJ alive and spoke to him. He claims AJ lied about Carly and Sonny's actions to keep Michael from him. Starr wonders why his father is back, and what Michael plans to do about it. Michael feels it will be his fault if AJ hurts someone, and decides to call Dante. While leaving a voicemail for Dante, he changes his mind at the last minute and doesn't mention AJ in the message.
Michael confesses he couldn’t turn his father in and Starr knows exactly how he feels. He apologizes for ruining their night, but Starr assures him they’ll have their night when it’s right.
Anna thinks the night went well, but apologizes for Luke’s bad behavior. Duke understands that Luke only wants to protect her. He asks for a dance and at first Anna resists, but memories of the past force her to give in. While dancing, the two share a kiss. Anna breaks away and decides to leave, saying it’s too soon. She thanks him for a nice evening.
Tracy wonders why Monica is talking to dead people and mentions her talking to the picture of AJ. Tracy begins to think AJ could be the creep who bumped into her at the Halloween party. Luke reminds her AJ is dead. She fires back by saying Duke was as well. Luke doesn’t believe the person romancing Anna is Duke, and Tracy thinks he’s paranoid. Luke decides to head to Turkey to check out Duke’s story. Tracy wishes him good luck, and Luke thanks her for her help. Before leaving, he promises to make everything up to her.
Monica thinks out loud and begs AJ not to destroy all their hard work. She wonders if she’s an enabler or a protector, and wishes Allan were there to tell her. Allan appears and Monica apologizes for not telling him the truth about AJ. She admits they made mistakes as parents, but Allan assures her she did right by AJ and saved him. Monica worries that she’s not strong enough to support AJ, but Allan says he’ll always be there for her.
Tracy’s upset about her current family situation. She's feeling very down about being alone again. Allan puts his hand on her shoulder, but disappears before Tracy can see him.
AJ stops by the Quartermaine crypt to speak with his father. He says he promises to make changes and wants Allan to be proud of him. Allan appears to AJ and tells him he loves him. He promises to always be with his son. Allan says he withheld his love for AJ while he was alive, but he’s proud of him. AJ promises to honor his father’s memory and be a good father to Michael. Allan points out that Carly and Sonny will stand in his way of gaining Michael’s trust.
AJ hides when he hears Sonny and Carly approach the crypt. Sonny asks if Carly wants him to open the vault to see AJ, but Carly doesn't think it's necessary. She finally concedes her eyes must have been playing tricks on her. Sonny promises AJ will never get his hooks into their son.
Johnny apologizes to Connie for bringing up the past, and says she should be happy Joe is dead. Connie knows Joe will always haunt her. She compares her dislike for Kate and Joe to Johnny's displeasure of Carly and Todd. Johnny agrees not to talk about them anymore, but asks her to stop hitting on him. Connie agrees, as long as he stops calling her names. Johnny promises to be nicer, since they’re stuck in this marriage together. Connie makes him a sandwich and the two share it.
AJ returns to the mansion and tells Monica he's not going anywhere.

Is it just me, or was Stuart Damon looking super frail. After seeing John Ingle so frail on his last day, to see SD that way made me very sad.
Johnny/Connie: And there it is. I knew there would be a softening between them. I thought KeSul did a fantastic job in those scenes.
Why were Tracy and Luke getting undressed in the middle of the foyer?

I was really hoping that AJ was going to kick Carly into the water.
Yes, SD does look really frail.
Today's show was awesome with all of the Q's front and center.
Connie and Johnny are about to fall in love for real.
Carly and Sonny are such jerks. Sonny was going to bust open the Quartermaine crypt. What an ass.

My favorite GH episode in a long time....romance with Duke/Anna, Johnny/Connie, history with Monica/Alan, family with AJ/Alan, JANE ELLLIOT and Carly & Sonny finally being depicted as the bad guys they are.

Great episode and only a second of CarSon. CarSon is so entitled they think they can drive on someone's else property and open their tomb. Loved Starr's blue boots. Wanted Michael to wipe that stuff off his face. Loved he didn't turn in his father.
Yeah SD was looking very frail but I thought maybe he just lost weight. But then when he started talking and it was like he was gasping for air, I started to worry. He could barely talk and he was hunched over the whole time. I was sad but also so darn happy to see him.
I am disappointed that these current writers are rewriting AJ/Alan's history during BW's time as AJ. While BW was AJ, Alan was on his side, telling him he was proud of him and tellign AJ he would help him get Michael. Alan was proud AJ got sober. They keep bring up all the bad BW's AJ did but they are not bring up how him and Alan's relationship really was.
I loved seeing SK's AJ and Alan together again. It's been years and their chemistry was so natural. Alan and Monica scenes were great. That Monica/Alan flashback..HOT HOT HOT HOT. OMG that is what you call a really passionate relationship. LiRic was the last couple with a relationship like that.
Didn't like Tracy getting undress right there in the hallway. Glad Luke took that lipstick off. Liked Duke and Anna. Duke was a great looking man back in the day. He's still handsome but he was a stunner back then.

Possibly because of Alice's concerns over bedbugs.

Yep. Gotta make sure those costumes are fumigated.
My other favorite piece of dialogue moment was SK's AJ mocking sing song of Carly yammering when she goes running to tell others he's back and his snark about if he got rid of her PC would give him a medal.
LOL! Seeing SD was just so wonderful. Frail or not, having him back was like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers. You remember just how good they feel. And watching SD just makes me warm and fuzzy. And yes my nose got fuzzy too...

Love the Quartermaines front and center. Michael and Star were good. Johnny and Connie were good. Sonny and Carly were stupid asses. I love how supportive Luke and Tracy are. I dont want Anna buying what Duke is selling. I liked the Monica scenes with Alice, Tracy, and of course Alan. I really liked the Alan and AJ scenes. I an so happy to see the Q family. This episode showed the mob as the usurpers they are. Yay for Michael not turning in AJ.
Did I say yay ALan?

Great episode. I didn't read any spoilers so when Alan popped out I started crying. GH is on fire. Monica has been on almost everday. Hell all the vets. Sean Kanan is awesome!

Did anyone else notice the Quartermaines living room has been redone to look as it did some years ago and the set is larger than what they had been using.

LOVED seeing SD! That made me squee! It was kind of hard to watch though with Connie screaming, "I WAS RAPED!!!" in between all the Alan stuff. As bad as Joe Jr. was, I still don't believe she was raped. I'm sick to death of her & wish she would GO.
LOVED Duke & Anna's tango flashbacks. I'd forgotten their "thing" was tangoing together, that was awesome!

I didn't pay much attention but did Luke attempt to kiss Tracy goodnight at the end of the episode? I'm glad she rebuffed him and I hate that she tags along Luke while he obsesses over Anna. I miss the brief, sweet interaction between Tracy and Joe Jr. and hope she gets another shot at romance and fun that isn't Luke.
I have no use for Luke but at one point I did like him with Tracy as a couple a few years back. Now, I just want for Luke to leave town until Laura returns. Anna seems silly to even consider Luke as a possible suitor when she has so much to learn about "Duke." Luke feels shoehorned into this equation and Tracy is out in the cold. Still, it's great to see Tracy/Jane Elliott on my screen regularly.

LOVED everything about today's episode. Who ever's idea it was (Frank V.?) to bring back AJ was just brilliant, and with the original actor who looks so much like Jason. When Sean was fired ,(I read he had a drinking problem), and they brought on Billy Warlock, who in appearance and size wise was so different, I think that was the beginning of the Jason Obssesion. I always felt bad for Billy W. and how his AJ was treated as dirt, to make Jason, a hitman, the hero. I am SOOO loving seeing the Q's again and my beloved Alan (though I was shocked how grey and frail Stuart Damon has become. But, we are all getting older). Loved seeing that old episode of Monica and Alan, they were so great! And the always fabulous Jane Elliot, when Alan put his hand on her shoulder, Loved it! I am starting to like Johnnie and Connie- both actors have been giving their all in their scenes together. And Anna and Duke, the dance scene, was amazing, with the flashbacks. I am seeing shades of the old Gloria Monty days, (who could ever forget the classic Luke and Laura Fascination dance at that department store ). LOVING everything about GH right now. They are bringing back the history of the Q's (if Ron C. was writing at the time there was no way Alan would have died ). Ron C. writes with heart and I am so loving GH again.

I'd forgotten how HOT Stuart Damon & Ian Buchanan were back in the day. They are both still handsome men but YOWSAH! Ian looks much better now than he did on Days a few months back. Jane Elliot is so fucking amazing! Loved the scenes with Alice. Sonny & Carly are has been jerks. Wouldn't miss them at all.

This episode was golden.
First, how great and RIGHT was it to finally, after all these years to see the Quartermaines, their mansion and the family members front-and-center, where they belong! Ghost-Alan was so touching.
Sean Kanan is an extraordinary actor. He makes AJ out to be just who he is and SHOULD be - with flaws, grey, but not evil. I loved when he scared Carly with the "Boo!" Haha - talk about the Karmic wheel of justice! Also loved when he contemplated throwing her in the harbour - that is what she would have deserved. It makes me giddy to think that with this current regime Sonny & Carly aren't just gonna get away with everything and winning all the time. It's time for some payback!
Nothing in this episode was too much or too little, there was a wonderful pace, with the scenes again flowing from one to another seamlessly. Loved the Anna/Duke flashbacks & dancing. I just wish this is the real Duke. Even the Connie/ Johnny scenes were pretty okay. She was tolerable, even though it bothers me that are they now forcibly trying to make her be a sympathetic character? Too little too late? We'll see. But thank God KSu got her hair done!!! How much better does it look now that it's not the horrible peroxide blonde!

I join those who are so glad Sonny and Carly are going to FINALLY be on the receiving end of the Karmic wheel of justice! THANK YOU Frank And Ron for letting us finally see them getting their "just deserts".

I thought the living room was redressed to the old look, but it is also noticeably smaller while the Q foyer seems to have been mysteriously enlarged (if more rectangular).

Looks like it's the same size, they just brought in some warmer colors and dramatically improved the lighting. The foyer was painted green which is a huge improvement. Must be sprucing the place up as the Q's are going front burner!!!

Thats what I am wondering. It looks like the Quartermaine Mansion is getting a makeover and if thats the case, it must be for a reason. Seriously, this is beginning to feel like old GH again, I never thought I would see the day. Seeing the Quartermaines front and center and the vets being used is so incredible, the show truly hasn't had this much going for it in over a decade. The only thing they are really missing at this point is Laura Spencer, she is a massive hole in this show, bringing her home would push this show over the top at this point. Great job!!!!!
