AJ pulls off his mask and reveals his identity to a shocked Michael. Michael tells him Sonny is his father and AJ is dead. He witnessed AJ's death and believes he's being set up. AJ begs Michael to go with him to the pier, so he can explain everything.

A very nervous Starr is waiting for Michael, when Trey comes home and informs her he didn’t get Connie committed.  Trey says Alexis filed all the papers to have him be the legal guardian, but Connie told the Judge she was never his mother. She claimed he didn’t have her best interests at heart, because they just recently met. The judge decided to give Connie a hearing to defend herself. Trey knows there’s no guarantee she’ll be committed.

Sonny’s angry because things didn’t go well in court due to Connie insisting her husband is the only person who can have her committed.  Alexis reassures him there is still a chance Trey can convince the judge to send Connie to Shadybrook.  Sonny is feeling sorry for himself because he has lost so much recently.

Connie wants to celebrate her win in court with a meal, but is annoyed to find out Carly closed the Metro Court restaurant for a private function. She demands to know Carly's whereabouts. A Metro Court waiter tells her Carly is in Todd’s suite.  Johnny is upset to hear the news, and Connie doesn't make things better when she points out it didn't take Carly long to get over him. Johnny is sure there’s nothing between Carly and Todd, and suddenly doesn't want to celebrate. Connie leaves and Johnny bribes the waiter with money to tell him which room is Todd's.

Carly and Todd are making out, but Carly stops things before they get too far. She tells Todd his heart isn’t in it because he’s still in love with Blair.  Todd says Blair married someone else, and he wants to start anew with her.  Carly refuses to be the rebound girl.  Todd just wants them to enjoy themselves.

Johnny firmly knocks on the door, so Carly tells Todd to open it, despite their state of undress. Johnny accuses Carly of doing this to get back at him, but Carly denies it. She doesn’t give a damn about Johnny, and has wasted enough time with him.  Johnny says she has no idea who she’s getting involved with, but Carly refuses to listen.  Johnny acknowledges he hurt her, but warns she shouldn’t turn to Todd.  Carly tells him to go home to his wife, and Johnny storms out.

Todd hopes this won’t stop her from continuing where they left off.  Carly wants to avoid making the same mistakes again, but Todd says he’s the anti-Johnny. He’s never misrepresented himself and is being completely honest.  When Carly still hesitates, Todd jokes they can have sex to get back at Johnny.  Carly doesn’t want to mess things up by rushing into anything.

Todd wants her to agree their almost sex was nice, and could be again, if they let it.  Carly says he’s her friend, one of few, and she doesn’t want to lose him.

Connie finds Sonny and Alexis at Kelly’s and throws her win in court in their faces.  Sonny affirms Kate is sick and Connie is nothing but a symptom of the illness.  Connie accuses Sonny of being angry she doesn’t find him hot. She taunts he’ll never see Kate again, and will never put her in Shadybrook.  Sonny warns her not to be too cocky.

Connie thinks she will tell her side of the story at the hearing, and wonders how they got Trey to cooperate. Sonny tells Connie she helped with Trey by pretending to care about him.  Connie reiterates that Kate is long gone and they’re going to lose the case.  Sonny angrily knocks over a table.

Connie runs into Johnny and realizes he saw Todd and Carly together.  She figures since they’re having sex, she and Johnny should too. However, Johnny’s still not interested.

AJ explains the events of his faked death, including Monica's involvement, to Michael. AJ just wants to hold Michael, but Michael orders him to back off.  Michael refuses to forgive AJ so quickly, and brings up their messy past. Michael tells AJ he thought his father's death was his fault for many years.

AJ says there are two sides to the story and tries to explain how Carly, Sonny and Jason kept Michael from him.  He tells Michael about Sonny forcing him to give up his parental rights.  Michael informs AJ he can't turn him against Sonny. AJ continues to divulge Carly’s misdeeds to Michael.

AJ claims he’s not the man he used to be, and knows what’s important now. He wants a relationship with his son.  Michael has a father and wants nothing to do with AJ.  AJ begs Michael to give him a chance.  Michael has to leave, and AJ asks him to keep his identity a secret.

Starr worries that Michael is taking too long to get home, and Trey realizes they were planning a night together.  Starr decides to head out to look for Michael, just as Michael arrives.  She asks where he was, and Michael tells her about his meeting with his biological father.

Carly goes to the pier to talk to Jason.  She doesn’t want to find out Todd has been lying, but is unsure she can trust him. She wishes Jason were there to tell her what to do.  Carly hears a noise, and AJ appears out the shadows.

Uhm AJ, didn't you just swear Michael to secrecy and yet you're outing yourself to Carly of all people. There will be a trail of smoke behind her as she runs herself over to Sonny's to spill the beans.

Somthing in that last scene with Connie/JOhnny, before she propositioned him again, made me think those two are going to fall for each other for real. There was a bit of realness to Connie and Johnny sort of looked at her. And then the moment passed.

Poor Michael. Dude thought he was getting some loving and ends up seeing a ghost.

It's crazy, but I'm liking Todd and Carly together. And holy, LW has a smoking body.

I am thrilled that RC is not having AJ lurk around town in the now standard soap fare when characters come back from the dead.

Yes, I think Johnny is going to fall for Connie which is exactly what happened over on OLTL with icky rapist Ford and Jessica,Messica,Fessica,Bessica and all of the other alters. RC needs to wrap up this DID story, stat! Otherwise, Johnny like Ford will die by chandelier aka chandy!

Loved the AJ/Michael scene, I thought both actors did a wonderful job. Michael looked confused and conflicted and scared to believe AJ yet deep down in his heart like he knew everything AJ was saying was true and if it was what would that mean about his entire life. AJ just seemed so desperate and loving, yet heartbroken about all he missed and all he wanted to be a part of.

Sonny just felt like he didn't fit which seems sad, he just doesnt' feel like he fits on GH anymore.

I could careless about Connie and the more time Johnny is stuck with her the less I care about Johnny.

I do have to say I Tarly or Codd whatever their name is have chemistry, both are being written OOC and I was enjoying them more when RC wasn't trying so hard with them but they are still entertaining so its good.

Besides AJ was the entire show and Lucy is coming back so I am good.

I so agree, Sonny doesn't feel like he fits in anymore. Carly use to be his right hand man, his cheerleader, now they are barely in scenes together. Sonny has no friends. All he does is pine for Kate all day. There is no purpose for Sonny anymore besides having ppl try to take his empire from him.

The actor who plays Michael really killed it today and I really love the fact him and SK have great chemistry. Thank goodness AJ finally got to tell Michael all the horrible stuff CarSon/Jason did to him. Just like AJ said, if Michael can just think, Michael will see how desperate AJ was to have him as a son.

FF all of Starr and Trey. I hate the fact Alexis is stuck with Sonny after years of Sonny treating her like crap.

Todd and Carly got some type of chemistry. I don't know what kind yet but it's okay. Didn't understand her hanging out in her bra but I guess they wanted to show off her body.

Sick of Connie and I so feel for Johnny and this storyline. The writers must hate the actor who plays Johnny. I really hope they don't hook up.

I LOVED the ending. I can so understand why AJ would pop out. After having to endure Carly's torture for over a decade, I would pop out to reveal myself to my torturer. I like that she thought it was Jason at first and he freaked her out.

Well, I'm still firmly in the Connie/Kelly Sullivan cheering section. Although Connie is an amalgam of not just Nikki/Bess/et al (keep in mind that many GH viewers did not watch OLTL) but also a lot of other recent alters on other soaps (Lorelei on GL comes to mind), I completely dig the absolute conviction in Sullivan's portrayal and her line readings are a hoot!

Also, the AJ/Michael scenes were superb, not just in the writing — I think Sean Kanan really came alive (hee hee) in those scenes — but there was a genuine sense of both urgency and sincerity in the vast amount of information/exposition that had to be communicated, not just to Michael but also to newer and later viewers unfamiliar with the history. A lot of times people on boards and DC tend to overlook the fact that not every viewer is on the boards, was watching once upon a time or has encyclopedic knowledge of past characters and storylines; I really admire the efficiency in which so much information was put in those scenes and how skillfully it was communicated.

Kudos, too, to Chad Duell: he put his usually confused+/-angry acting to very good use!

Starr & Trey have really good chemistry.

Two things I keep noticing:

a) how all of GH's sets seem to shrink about 5% more just before or after we get an announcement that another old or new cast member is about to come on board (Lynn Herring = Kelly's and the Haunted Star close to looking about the size of a food truck) and

b) how the extras in scenes are actively hogging the camera every time they have a reaction shot to some hot mess going on in their scene (today's extra: the guy in Kelly's who looked either annoyed by the fight between Connie and Sonny or if he was trying to peep over Alexis' shoulder to see her impressive decolletage)!

While I guess that extra was hogging the camera, I have to say I enjoyed that more than the usual extras who sit at their tables, mumbling, "peas and carrots", at each other and not noticing the hollering happening at the table right next to them. I thought--for a camera hog--those reactions of his were believable.

Gord, don't get me wrong: I not only agree with you, I actually enjoy it! LOL

Speaking of which, during the most recent Connie/Carly face off in the now Super 8-size Metro Court lobby therewas a female extra in a red (?) dress looking at the shenanigans with an entirely appropriate what-kind-of-fuckery-is-THIS? expression that had me howling! LOL

I have to give kudos to Chad Duell. Michael's emotions were so on point. The mix of confusion and anger was amazing. And of course there is Sean Kanan.
I love that they let him confront the people in his life so fast. While other stories get dragged out I'm so relieved how RC handles this one.
AJ telling Michael that he isn't the only bad guy here let me scream. Carly and Sonny did their fair share of mistakes where it comes to AJ. And honestly, AJ never stood a chance against Carly's manipulations.

I don't like Carly/Todd. I'm glad that she stopped before anything happened. Her seeing AJ was much better. Laughing out loud

I'm so happy that this court stuff over Connie's sanity happened off-screen. I didn't want to see that crap.

Trey and Starr really have great chemistry. I know some day in the near future something is going to happen between them. But I also enjoy them as friends very much. I'm happy that RC writes so many friendship scenes. Smile

Oh by the way ... Johnny walking in on Carly and Todd was an embarrassment. Really Johnny!? Reaching a new low by wanting to tell Carly who she can and can't sleep with while he's married to a crazy person.

Quick question: Who smothered AJ with a pillow and why? I think he said Dr. Thomas. I have no idea who that is. After 25 years of watching, I officially gave up watching GH when word came that Stuart Damon was let go. Just could not bare one more day of watching this show be destroyed by Guza and Phelps.

Aren't chances pretty good that Alan will return alive and well?? Isn't really the only way for AJ to be exonerated of whatever he did to Alan. I'm completely ok with whatever the writers come up with to right this wrong... even if an announcer came on who said "We're just gonna pretend Alan was never killed off".

There is a rumor that Robin isn't the only person who's supposed to be dead but hidden instead. And apparently Stuart Damon was seen back on the set of GH again. It could be that they resurrect him too. And as good as this would be, I really think that after that RC and FV would have to stop with the "bringing people back from the dead"-thing. Let's see how this is going to play out.

Anyway AJ was smothered by a guy named Dr. Thomas. AJ apparently hired him to kill Jason. AJ then blackmailed Dr. Thomas with the information.
It was another crazy storyline that hurt the history, because AJ apparently wanted to kill Jason after the infamous accident in 1996.
Dr. Thomas later is killed in a - of course - heroic act by Jason.
I didn't like the story at all.

Thanks soapjunkie88! I know the "bringing people back form the dead"-thing is hard to take, especially at the rate that Ron and Frank are doing it, but I am willing to deal with it in order to restore this show for the future. Bob Guza had NO idea how to craft a story unless it revolved around the untimely death of a beloved character. His years on the show in the 2000's continue to baffle me. He came aboard in the 90's with so much promise. Taking the reigns from Claire Labine and making the show even better than it was under her leadership (IMHO). Not sure what his damage was when he returned from Sunset Beach. GH became the most depressing, humorless soap opera in all of television history. Personally I'm giving Frank and Ron a free pass to right any and all wrongs of Guza's years.

Today's episode was very good. The thing that stood out for me the most was how natural it progressed, all the characters and scenes. It had a perfect flow today. All the action, like Sonny throwing the table over, was totally understandable.

IMO Kristen Alderson has really picked up the pace in her acting in the recent weeks. She seems so much more natural now than we she first came on to GH. Especially in the scenes with Kristina, it was obvious, whose acting chops are better. But not just that, she has this innocent, natural chemistry with Michael, and then this differen, yet natural flow with Trey. I would totally be in favor of a Starr/Trey (Stay?) coupling.

However, it makes me sick to think Johnny would REALLY fall for this plastic thing that is not even a real person, but a "symptom of a mental illness" as Lulu put it. I don't want a love affair between Johnny and Connie - I want her out of my screen! And if they really fall in love, it's more unlikely that will happen. Having said this, the Johnny/Connie scenes today WERE a bit better than usually. Maybe it's because there wasn't so much threatening and overall ugliness involved today.

I am loving GH again like I did in the 90s. It's great that AJ is back, and that he, Michael, and Jason all really do look enough alike to be related. They really destroyed AJ's character to support Jason's during the Billy Warlock years, and I hope Cartini can repair a little of that damage. AJ screwed up royally, but I never saw him as a kidnapper/murderer. Lucy and the Nurses Ball returning is AWESOME, and although I don't quite know if I approve of a Todd/Carly romantic match, I do love their scenes together--esp.the little off-the-cuff Toddisms, like the did you ever sleep with Jason? Then there's hope for me yet!comments at the end. The only thing I'm really tired of is Johnny. If he really i responsible for killing Cole & Hope, then I want it to come out already. I like the actor, but the character is becoming tiresome.

This could be how they bring Anna's Pine Valley ex, Dr. David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry), to Port Charles. At least that's what I'm hoping.

I'm already tired of hearing everyone in town complain about how horrible AJ was, when they were all just as bad as he was and they can't seem to admit their cupability in all of it.

I missed the last couple minutes of the show, so I didn't get to see AJ reveal himself to Carly. Hopefully they will repeat the end part of that on Monday so I can see it, I can't watch it at the library. I really want to see the look on her face.

I don't want AJ to be the bad guy again, and am not happy they're having Duke be a really bad guy this go round either. It reminds me of how badly they wrote Robert in his come back after Robin "died", and how they're not really using Felicia and Mac right now except for stupid short scenes of comic relief strip poker. I can't barely stand Felicia's voice, but surely they could use the vets in scenes that are more worth their abilities. Now that SB's gone the money should be there for the vets to be in more fleshier stories, after all most of these people are probably more than willing to work.

It just seems like there's a lot of floundering characters right now (not just the returning vets), and instead of strengthening the storylines, TPTB are pushing onto new stories without fixing things. Granted the show's not as bad as it was, but there is definate much more room for improvement.

I really liked todays episode. Chad Duell (Micheal) really showed some acting chops, after months of not having a storyline. The scenes with him and AJ were perfect. Can't get over how much AJ resembles Jason. Saw a latest commercial on GH and there was a glimpse of Monica and Alan. Wonder if he'll just be a ghost but I always loved Stuart Damon as Alan and wish he'd come back. Kudos to Frank V. and Ron C. for going back to the history of GH and trying to right the wrong of Guza and Phelps. They destroyed the Quartermaine family in favor of Sonny, Jason Carly and the whole mob crap. Anyone who still gets Soapnet, they are showing 2008 episodes of the show. Same thing over and over, Sonny, Carly, Jason, Spinelli calling Jason his master, Claudia and this stupid Russian mobster named Karporf. The show is SOOO much better now, I can't wait each day to see what happens and I haven't felt that way about GH in years.

So hoping they do bring back the Nurse's Ball and Lucy Coe. She was a lot like Erica Kane, but so much more entertaining. And Edward's funeral will be a tear-jerker. I do like Todd the Bod and Carly (she is gorgeous-I want her hair), and I like that they were interupted. I hate how the soaps in the past have everyone jumping in bed right away. It's more sexier with the wait. Can understand AJ's bitterness towards Carly. She put him thru a lot. Looking forward to their scenes together.
About Sonny, he does look lost. I read his contract is up in January. He really isn't that needed anymore. We need a breather from the whole Mob story, and I like Steve Burton but may-be it's good that he left and who knows, he may be back someday. I got so sick of the constant Sam, Jason ,Liz fighting over which couple should be together. I am so enjoying seeing more of the vets, the actress playing Monica must be thrilled, she's been on more now then in years! Laughed at someone's comment about Luke dressing up as Tony Geary at the masquerade party. Ha! Eventually, when the show ends I think he'll admit he's gay.
I am really enjoying GH lately and a big thanks to Frank V and Ron C for working hard and trying to bring back the magic that GH once was.

I think Carly & Todd are smoking hot! I love this pair (until Blair comes and gets her man!) Laura Wright & Roger Howarth have great, natural chemistry.

I am beyond ready to move on past Johnny & Connie. As handsome and talented as I think Brandon Barash and Kelly Sullivan, I think their characters cannot be salvaged and are unnecessary to the canvas.

Maurice Benard nearly broke character when he stated "Connie & Johnny..." LOL. With all of the time Sonny & Alexis spend together, I wish they were written as flirting. I loved Sonny & Alexis back in '01-'02. They were super sexy, flirty and fun. Sonny is the only man that worked with Alexis besides Jerry or Stefan (ewwww.) I never saw chemistry between Alexis & Rick and it felt like a plot-point with him being Sonny's brother/nemesis. Alexis & Shawn are after-thoughts and Shawn has never been fleshed-out as a character so I have no use for him. I wish Alexis was given a story and a real romance because I am so tired of her just being the lawyer to Sonny and the mother to dreadfully dull daughters. I feel that making Alexis Sam's mother gutted the character while propping Sam.

I digress. What was with AJ revealing himself to Carly? That was silly. I did enjoy Chad Duell in his scenes with AJ. Kudos.

Watching this episode made me giddy.. I am hoping for a butt load of karma to be handed to Carly. While it may not be fair of me I think her character is the reason the Q's were torn apart and she got rid of my girl Robin so long ago. The reason I fell in love with Sonny and Jason was becuse of Robin with them. Then Carly came along!! On the Q side I would love to see some of the crap she has handed Monica come down on her. Having some girl come along and split apart Michael and Morgan would suit me just fine. I hope that Michael at least listens to him and calls Carly and Sonny out.

I was reading some comments and I have to agree with those saying they are liking the Sonny/Alexis scenes. I am actually seeing some chemistry between them. I just don't see that with her and Shaun. They never developed his character where the viewer could care about him and he has no ties to other characters. I'm curious to see what will happen with Maurice's contract being up in January. He is suppose to be making a movie. I can take Sonny better when he's more involved with family issues. Seeing less and less of the Mob where he's concerned has been good. I'd rather see him just a few days instead of every day of the week like it was under Guza/Phelps. But, I am starting to like an Alexis/Sonny pairing.

Loved Tarly. They were smoking hot. Carly is smart not to trust Todd when he is still lying to her. I wish they become a real couple.

Trey being a size XXX explains why Tracy couldnt get enough of JoeJr. I hope she gets more involved in the Quartermaine stories with AJ's return and spends less time with Luke/Anna.
