General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Tracy offers Monica her condolences. Monica holds Tracy responsible for Jason's death because she never turned Joe in to the cops. Tracy claims Joe told her Sonny shot him, and Monica needs to look in the mirror if she wants to blame anyone. Tracy claims Monica coddled her boys or ignored them, which caused them all to meet terrible ends. Monica classifies Jason as an exception to Tracy's allegations due to his accident. It’s the same accident that ruined AJ's life.
Monica admits she made mistakes, but Tracy let Joe go free because she needed a man. Tracy says Joe wasn’t all bad, and brings up the antidote he gave her instead of saving his own life. Monica figures that means Joe was working with Jerry and tried to murder the whole town.
Monica asks about the police and Tracy admits she didn’t tell them because it wouldn’t have changed anything. Monica declares she has no family and is now all alone. Tracy softens towards Monica and offers her apologies.
Maxie seeks Lulu’s advice on how to get Spinelli back, now that she’s divorcing Matt. Lulu reminds her Spin is dating Ellie. Maxie wants to go to The Haunted Star Halloween party and figures Spin will want to go with her, since it’s her birthday. Maxie is sure once Spin sees she’s ready to commit, he’ll dump Ellie.
Sabrina’s collecting money from hospital staff members to buy flowers for Monica. Ellie’s all for it, but Patrick gets angry, saying Jason was a murdering criminal. Liz overhears and gets upset when Patrick blurts out Jason should have died months ago. Patrick says Robin sacrificed everything to save Jason, only to have him throw it away. Liz says Jason was helping a friend, but Patrick doesn't agree. He believes Jason was shot due to his involvement in organized crime and can't believe Liz would defend him as Robin's friend. Liz fires back by saying Robin would hate to know Patrick is using her death to beat up on Jason.
Anna’s upset about Jason's death because he was a close friend of Robin's and she's known the Quartermaines for years. She explains to Duke that Bernie was shot twice, so Joe likely had an accomplice. She guarantees she’ll find whoever it is, because she owes it to Monica. Duke tells her he got a job bartending at The Haunted Star. He’s aware Lulu gave him the job to keep tabs on him, but wants to make an honest living. Duke mentions his new place and asks Anna to come by, but she’s busy with work.
Sam asks about the papers in Diane’s hand, but she blows it off. Diane offers her sympathy, but Sam assures her Jason isn’t dead. Diane offers her services as a lawyer, but Sam is less than interested, since Diane helped free Todd. Diane points out she’s helped Jason in the past, but Sam doesn’t want her to compare Jason and Todd.
John arrives, so Diane leaves. Sam tells him Jason isn’t dead, and John believes her since a body wasn't found. Sam’s thrilled John is on her side and thinks Jason is alive, but unable to contact her. He may be hospitalized or held against his will. She wonders if he left to protect her, but John doesn’t believe that. Sam tells him two people shot Bernie, and John begins to wonder who helped Joe out of the murder rap in Atlanta. He promises to look into that angle.
Spinelli wants Todd to provide solace for Sam in her time of need and admit to his part in the baby switch. He feels Sam deserves the truth. Todd says the PCPD released him due to lack of evidence. Spin says he’s a good investigator and he can prove Todd’s guilt. Todd tells him to talk to Heather. Spin says he can’t bring Jason back, but he can provide peace for Sam and give her comfort. Todd seems to be about to say something when Diane arrives, demanding he not say another word.
Spin’s upset Diane is Todd’s lawyer, because he is the cause for some of Sam's enormous pain. Diane reminds Spin everyone has the right to an attorney and Jason would understand Diane is doing her job. Spin storms off and Todd wants to make sure Sam knows Jason is Danny's father. However, Diane admits she didn’t tell her, because Sam believes Todd was involved in the switch. Diane says Carly would turn on him if she knew he’d kept Jason away from his son. Todd decides Sam has to know the truth, and Diane needs to tell her without implicating him. Diane wonders how he suggests she do that. Todd thinks it's simple and points her in the direction of Heather.
Sabrina apologizes to Liz, saying she didn’t know her history with Jason. Liz admits she loved him and they were more than friends. Yet, she wishes she'd treated him better and told him everything before the end. Sabrina says everyone does stupid things when in love.
Britt checks in on Patrick, who’s upset he got angry with Sabrina and Liz. He explains about Jason and Jake. Britt butters him up with the fact that Robin gave her life for Jason, and thinks Patrick has a right to be angry.
Patrick apologizes to Liz because he knows how important Jason was to her. Then, he offers Sabrina money for the flowers. Sabrina wants to make things up to him, so Patrick asks if she can baby-sit while he goes out with Britt again.
Ellie stops by The Haunted Star and is thrilled to see Maxie. She asks Maxie to join her and Spin at the party. Maxie talks about Spin’s feelings for Jason, and Ellie assures her she knows about it all. Ellie continues to beg Maxie to join them, and with Lulu's help, Maxie agrees.
Spin tells Sam he tried to force Todd to tell the truth, but Diane stopped him. Sam tells him John is going to help them find Jason.
After Tracy leaves, AJ walks into the Q living room and puts a smile on Monica's face.

And that's why I hate Spinelli. The biggest hypocrite in the history of hypocrites, and on show with Sonny, that's saying a lot. Shut up Spin. Diane is helping criminal Todd the same way she helped criminal Jason. Just because it doesn't suit you this time, doesn't mean you can pretend to take a moral high ground.
Loved Diane. Love Diane's dry wit. Love Diane and Todd.

Loved Lulu ribbing it to Maxie. How can you not love Ellie. Just wish she wasn't saddled with the hypocrite. I so desperately want Maxie to come to her senses too and realize she doesn't need him either and go find hot Johnny.
I missed Sean Kanan's reign as AJ. Billy Warlock was my AJ, so this will be interesting to me.

Is it confirmed that Sean Kanan is playing AJ? I kinda freaked at how much they had him looking like Jason. The short hair. The black jacket. I hope he is AJ. As good as Billy Warlock was in the role, I could never buy him as AJ. Always felt like an impostor.

I don't know whether this means anything, but I had the closed captioning on at the end of the show, and when he said his line the CC showed the character's name as AJ. (Presumably, they get that information from the production office.)

Is it okay for a 41 year old to have a fan girl moment? Because SK made me squeal! I don't buy that Ellie is this sweet and clueless. Isn't that what useless Sabrina is for? I think Ellie knows exactly what she's doing. She might even be up to something. Whatever her deal is,it sure is funny. And Lulu had me rolling! I love that Tracy and Patrick called Jason out for the scum bag that he was. Jason Thompson and Rebecca Herbst rocked that scene. Why aren't they on more? The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Liz pointed out that Robin chose saving Jason over her hubby. That is exactly the choice she was willing to make. It broke my heart when she called him Dr. Drake. And can Duke please kill Spinelli Since he's on a killing spree? Diane should have throttled him. Jerk. And Sam really needs to get over her denial off screen. Being rude to everyone is getting old.

Loved seeing Monica in the center of things. Though I love Tracy, I hate how she treats Monica.
I totally agree that Ellie is being WAY too perfect. She is definitely up to something - I would be willing to bet she is either a psycho or planted by someone on purpose to get close to Spinelli and to then get close to Jason and Sam.

Spin and Sam are the biggest hypocrites in the world. Diane got Jason off murder, racketeering, and God knows what else, but doing the same for Todd makes her a slimeball? Puh-leeze. Now they know how Mac felt for all those years Sonny/Jason went scot-free. SO happy to see Sean K., who I LOVED as AJ all those years ago. Is it wrong to wonder if he'll have any chemistry w/Liz? ^^Thank you!!! The hypocrisy is stifling! I do get Sam is in denial about Jason's "death" but her entire character has been a huge hypocrite and her current anger toward every one (save McBain) is ridiculous. As a new, first-time mother, she needs her family but distances them (as she has done routinely.) It's her go-to reaction to what happens in her life and it's beyond tiresome. Please shuffle her off to the backburner.
But after an exceptionally dull week of episodes, I enjoyed most of this episode. I got a huge kick out of the Maxie/Ellie/Lulu scenes. I think Ellie is sincere and I find her (and the actress) a breath of fresh air. I do wish the Spixie-reunion wasn't so forced. There's not much chemistry there and Ellie makes Spinelli tolerable.
I thought Jason Thompson and Rebecca Herbst were awesome (per usual) and thought Patrick/Liz's reactions were spot-on. I am so disengaged with Nerdy Nurse and Bitchy Doctor. I hated how the camera panned to Nerdy Nurse as Liz described being in love with Jason. Seriously?! I am offended by the comparison of Liz/Jason to that nonsense.
I liked the Monica/Tracy interaction, however, I found Tracy to be excessively cruel and I actually wished for Monica to slap her! I liked Tracy returning to the scene to express condolences to Monica but her previous speech was way over-the-top.
Not excited about Sean Kanan's return but it's because of: 1.) I have only seen Billy Warlock's AJ/liked him, 2.) I did not enjoy Sean Kanan's acting on his recent returns to B&B and Y&R. and 3.) the return of "Duke" has been disappointing.

Best part is seeing AJ, the AJ who beat Jason up. The AJ who is a boxer and who would not have went through all the pain BW's AJ went through. Thank goodness he's back. Still remember that episode where he whupped Jason's behind and Alan had to run in there to save Jason.
THe best part of the show was Diane and Todd or the two Satans. Loved all their lines.

Who was AJ with when he was on the first time? I am guessing Carly. I was not watching then. SK is an excellent actor. Obviously I came back a few years ago after long absence. I thought I saw somewhere that Anna was with David from AMC. Was it crossover or was it just that she was on AMC? I thought it would be interesting to pick up VI for Anna if this is so. I am so over TG and I am not that into Duke. I did NOT like Anna when the old team was writing for her. I LOVE her this time around.
I am thinking SK will be teamed with LW or least to see the chemistry. We will see. Johnny is on his last legs from what I can see. Put Carly in another orbit besides with Sonny. Thank heavens Jason is gone. What was all the dependency stuff. Strange to me. Like I said may longtime viewers get the point. I never did.

I cannot see a Carly-AJ pairing this go around, even though rumors say they work together to get Michael into ELQ and away from mob influence. Carly and AJ hurt one another too much in their long history, and each was at fault, especially Carly.
There is a rumor that they will pair AJ with Liz. That would be another weird and forced pairing since the show NEVER let Liz get over her teenage love for Lucky (a disasterous pairing for each of them). They might as well pair AJ with Maxie for that matter -- doesn't make any more sense. Or Britt, whoever she really is.
Sean Keenan is AJ. Warlock never made me believe.

I wanted to reach into the TV and whup Spinelli's butt for wanting Todd to come clean to Sam about her baby, but Sam never did the same until she was caught red handed when it came to Jake.
Lulu/Ellie/Maxie scenes were great.
Liz is in love with Jason? Huh? RC must be writing a special feed that only he can see, because Liz has not been in love with Jason since 2009. Liz was really into Ewen until Jason came around and pissed a circle around his ex, and now Liz is once again all alone and it sucks. I hate seeing Liz talking about keeping Jason and Sam from their baby when we all know that Sam never once showed that kind of remorse when it came to Jake and Liason.
Liz and Patrick have excellent chemistry.
I did enjoy the Liz and Sabrina scenes until Liz mouthed off that crap about hurting poor little Jason and being in love with Jason. Jeez. I guess RC was planning on turning Liz into cray cray OLTL's Marty when she couldn't have John who was in love with Natalie. I am so glad that SBu left the show so this LizFF and Liason fan did not have to see that crap.
SK is smoking hot. Here's hoping that AJ runs amok and brings the Q's front and center.
Sam just needs to hump McBain and stop with all of the virginal heroine crap, because it does not suit the character who once rode old step-daddy Ric like a bronco on the floor of her mother's home.

I'd love to see AJ hook up with Elizabeth. She'd be the good influence that would keep him from his more heinous actions (you know, like shooting Dad in the back and kidnapping more than your own child). He could still be devious, just not evil, like Edward Q or Adam Chandler. AJ could be the influence that brings back Elizabeth's spunk. And can you imagine her and Monica in the same house?
Speaking of Monica, although Tracy was quite cruel to her, that's exactly how Monica treated Elizabeth, so I'm not upset about it. I don't say that because Elizabeth is a saint who doesn't deserve anyone's anger (that's certainly not true), but because until this week, Monica had watched 3 out of 4 children die so she should know the guilt and pain that comes with the territory. Shoving a mother's face in the dirt of her child's grave is low down, so Monica just got her own back.

Just over a year ago, I had to cut short my New York City vacation because of the Hurricane Irene evacuation, and it turned out to be not so bad. Hopefully, that will happen in this case, too. We're supposed to be battered by heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday from Sandy here in Canada, but it all depends on the path it follows. Let's hope it stops claiming lives and weakens as it travels northward. 44 deaths so far, and that's 44 too many.

I have been watching some old episodes of GH with Sean Kanan as AJ. He always seemed so protective of his mother. He was especially resentful at how Alan was running around on her. It will be nice to see Monica get some respect for a change.
No way AJ hooks up with Carly again. This AJ (Sean Kanan) is not a glutton for punishment ... or stupid.
Am I the only one who thinks AJ will hook up with Sam? I'm not sure I'm crazy about the idea, but I think it will happen. AJ gets to raise Jason's son.
Did anyone notice Monica forgot to mention Dawn, her daughter, in her list of lost family members? I guess she was kind of forgettable.

Monica shot Elizabeth in 1999 because she saw that Liz's evil was beginning to infect Jason and AJ. After Liz caused AJ to crash, nearly killing Jason, Monica confronted her at the boathouse (where Liz had gone thinking that she was going to meet AJ) and shot her in the head. Liz was in a coma for four years but eventually recovered; she had no memory of Monica shooting her so Monica was never prosecuted.
