10 More General Hospital Alums We'd Love to See Back to Honor Edward Quartermaine!

No. 3: Dillon Quartermaine

With Scott Clifton, the original teenage and young adult Dillon Quartermaine, currently helping The Bold and the Beautiful reach the most promising demos it's seen among younger women in years, I highly doubt Brad Bell would consider loaning him to GH, even for a tribute to the late John Ingle and Edward Quartermaine.  Which is why Edward's passing provides the ABC sudser with the perfect timing to recast the pivotal role of Tracy's youngest son.

I've been begging for Dillon to be recast since last February, preferably with former One Life to Live hottie Josh Kelly in the role. Dillon's former stepsister/baby mama Lulu is in the middle of a crisis, his mother keeps hooking up with mobsters and now his beloved grandfather will soon no longer be with us.

Wishful Storytelling: Tracy buys the rights to the distribution company planning to unveil Dillon's first feature film, a promising, darkly comic indie about a young man growing up in a dysfunctional, wealthy family in Upstate New York. She forces him to come home and work for ELQ for one year, then she'll release the film.

While back in PC, Dillon reconnects with Lulu, falling hard for the troubled, barren young wife. When his niece Brook Lynn picks up on the connection Dillon and Lulu still share, she forges a Cruel Intentions-esque bond with her uncle, with their ultimate goal being splitting up Lante for good!

Good suggestions, all, Jamey. If these characters can't make it in time for the funeral, all is not lost. Perhaps each can make it in time for the reading of Edward's will. I remember what Carlivati and Valentini did for the reading of Asa's will on OLTL. ELQ shares and the Quartermaine legacy hang in the balance on GH. I think Edward's will reading should send Tracy in a tizzy and launch an all out family battle for control of ELQ.

My girl Keesha left to visit relatives and never came back. If she had a little AJ,Edward would have lived that and so would I.

Jamey...you are brilliant. WHy is it that I think fans can write a SL far better than the wriers of soaps ever could.

And Victoria Rowell as Faith Ward would be PAY DIRT! And especially if Faith comes in with Shares in ELQ or controlling interest. Victoria Rowell in scenes with Jane Elliot *hyperventilating right now*

Jimmy should return to the show with two hot sons in their early 30's.

I'm hoping Robin will be discovered alive soon, or at least show a few Robin/Edward flashbacks, as he always had a special place in his heart for her. I also would like to see Jonathan Jackson back for the funeral episode in order to pay his respects. One of my favorite s/l's is when young Lucky befriended Emily and the dogs Foster and Annabelle fell in love, much to Edward's chagrin. On, wait, one other person I just thought of. He was a minor character, but the actor who played the Q's butler, Reginald, I think his name was Stephen Kay? I can still hear Edward bellowing his name. "Reginald!"

Jimmy Lee Holt and some of the Ward's I've never heard of, but I wasn't watching back in the early days.

do agree that at least the more recently departed characters should be back...Tracy's sons, grandchildren, Lucy, Brenda, etc. But there does need to be a limit I think. They won't have time enough to spend on the characters they are bringing back, and it usually ends up being unsatisfactory for the viewers who always want to see more.

Would love to see Jimmie Lee Holt back on the show with Lucy Coe in tow. The two of them could wreak havoc on ELQ and give Port Charles a big jolt of much needed energy. As for Brenda and the Ward women...do we really need any more females on the show? I don't think so. In fact, what the show needs is more devastatingly handsome men with brains as well as looks.

Does anyone else out there think there is something drastically wrong with the medical profession in Port Charles? The dead don't stay dead.

That Steve Bond couldn't act his way out of a paper bag but he sure looked good in a speedo! Jimmy Lee and Celia Quartermaine did the creepy cousin thing long before Jonathan Randall and Tammy Winslow on Guiding Light.

I would have added Celia to the list and Laura Spencer(if she wasn't crazy). Laura once worked at ELQ.

Jamey you talk about Wally Kurth's Ned Ashton but you didn't actually put him on your list!

Jake is dead. Perhaps though he was buried in the Pet Cemetery. I loved the part of that movie where the kid comes back and offs his mom, the says to his dad in that creepy creepy CREEPY voice - I played with mommy and now I want to play with UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. With Jason believed dead, the couldnt rip off the entire plot line, but I wouldnt mind seeing jake going after Liz. THat might be the one thing that would make me say Viva le Jake!!! (and just in time for Halloween.) Smile
