Todd can't believe Carly would entertain the idea he switched Sam and Tea's babies.  Carly needs to know the truth and asks him not to lie.  Todd begins to tell her how hard Tea took the news, when John joins them. Carly informs John she and Todd are having a private conversation, but John could care less. John wonders why Carly is so hostile towards him, and admits it's because of his relationship with Sam.

Todd says he gave the unresponsive baby to Heather, and she gave him back a healthy one.  John thinks he’s still lying.  Carly doesn't completely believe him either. She dares him to swear on Starr’s life he’s telling the truth.

Starr returns home and Joe Jr. points a gun at her. Then, he orders Michael to hang up on Dante. Joe says he’s going to leave with Starr, since she’s his insurance now.  Trey begs his father to let Starr go and turn himself in to the cops. He pleads with Joe to prove he’s the good man who raised him. Dante can feel something isn't right and heads over there.

Bernie leaves an urgent voice message for Jason to meet him on the pier. Then, he reminisces about the night back in December when he was shot in Sonny’s office in place of Jason.  In the flashback, Duke paid Bernie visit before his surgery. He threatened to harm Bernie's family if he didn’t transfer Sonny’s money into Kristina’s account.

Jason, Sam and Danny go home for the first time.  Sam worries the crib hasn’t been delivered yet, but Jason assures her he has a portable one. They’re happy to be one big family.  Sam’s happy they’re back to the way they were supposed to be.  They put Danny to bed, and then steam up their own he sheets. The two declare their love for each other.  The baby starts to cry, so Sam gets him while Jason puts his wedding ring back on.  He puts Sam’s ring back on her finger, and she declares to never remove it again.  Sam takes a picture of their family.

Duke wants to make love to Anna, but Anna stops him before things go too far. However, Duke does some sweet-talking and Anna falls back into his arms. Luke walks in on the two passionately kissing.   Luke can’t believe Anna is prepared to be with Duke again. He thinks Duke should prove his identity by having a DNA test. Duke vehemently refuses.

Duke says Anna knows who he is, which is good enough for him.  Anna accuses Luke of being an investigator, but Luke says someone needs to be. He proceeds to pull a hair off of Duke’s head.  Duke’s angry, but tells Anna they’ll pick up where they left off when he returns.  Luke wants to know if Duke is a fraud.

Lulu sees Dr May, who tells her she needs to be patient about getting pregnant. The doctor mentions Dante getting his sperm count checked, which surprises Lulu.  Dr May offers to run a few more tests, which Lulu initially declines. However, she changes her mind at the last minute and takes the tests. Later on, the doctor tells Lulu fertility is not the issue.

Dante arrives at Trey’s, and is informed of Joe Jr.'s latest actions. Trey tells Dante his father isn’t working alone, and everything has been someone else’s idea. He's unsure of his father's accomplice, but knows this person is dangerous. Michael worries the mystery person is after Sonny.  Trey knows nothing of his father’s mob life, and Dante tells him to let him know if he remembers anything.  Dante gets a call to meet Lulu at the hospital.

Diane arrives and declares herself Todd’s new lawyer, which surprises Carly.  Diane says there is no evidence of kidnapping or fraud and orders Todd to be released.  John warns Carly she’s been snowed.

Carly tells Todd she needs to hear him swear to the truth. He swears on Starr’s life he had nothing to do with the baby switch.

Sam and Jason listen to Bernie’s urgent message and Sam tells him to go see what’s wrong with him. He doesn’t want to leave on her first night back. Sam reassures him it's okay, but wants him to be careful.  After Jason leaves, John shows up at her door.

Lulu tells Dante she can’t have a baby.

Joe finds Bernie on the pier and pulls a gun on him. Bernie warns Joe that if anything happens to him, Sonny will have his head on a platter. Joe says he’s more worried about what Duke will do and shoots Bernie.  Before Joe gets off his second shot, Jason shows up and shoots Joe.  Bernie tries to tell Jason about the money, but Duke shoots Jason in the back.

Oh, but stefanstavros, methinks you forget RC's favorite "ever at the ready" device that is the "flashback". Wink And you could probably set up a drinking game: For every flashback that we get of Mr. Morgan you toast his absence from the canvas! Beer Guessing from previews I'm sure we will have a few to sit through in the next week or so. "Drink up, you're behind!" as my dad would say... Innocent

ASSASINATION was the word of the day on GH. Bernie, Joe & Jason all wiped out. More importantly though is the character assasination of Duke Lavery. This person better turn out to be a phoney because this man certainly isn't the Duke from the 80s that Anna and fans fell in love with. He has to be an impostor. Duke was never this dark.

I was hoping to see a grand sweeping romance between Duke and Anna but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Instead the "new" regime prefers to tell mobster driven stories like the old team. Yuck.

The only downside to Jason "dying" as we know no one ever really dies in the world of soaps or in RC's world is that we'll have to suffer weeks and people crying and praising Jason for being such a fantastic person who the dude took peoples lives away for a living.

SBu is awesome, but since the character of Jason was ruined, it was time we got a little break from Jason. If he does drop into the water as the last scene foreshadowed, and they make it so his body couldn't be retrieved or something at least the door is open for a return, although there have been people tagged and buried who still manage to return lol

However, although I am contradicting myself, I can't wait to see Laura Wright react to hearing the news about Carly, I know she will bring it in those scenes, and a small part of me wants to see Maurice's reaction as well.

Thanks Perkie, and hope everyone has a great weekend! Smile

I hope this is the real Duke Lavery. The story of what turned him so dark could be very interesting. It could also become a story of redemption or of Duke constantly struggling with who he was and who he has become.

Duke was probably in a cell near OLTL's David Vickers in Morocco and has turned dark because of that relationship. Wink

The only person that I want to see coming back from the dead is Jacob Martin Webber.

Yes, SBu's character was ruined back in Mexico and there were brief signs that RC was fixing Jason Morgan then the 180 degree turn six weeks ago has once again given us "pod" Jason.

Jason was ruined long before Mexico. For me, it was when he helped Carly keep AJ's son from him. I found him more tolerable under RC since he's not as obsessed with the character as the previous writers were but Jason has been horribly written for years, he can't stand on own without a massive amount of propping especially from his love interests who suffered character assassination when it was time for him to move on to another pairing.

You forgot the character assasination of Bernie. He would have never betrayed Sonny that way. He would have come clean and they would have found a way to turn the tables on Duke Lavery.

Well...I don't know what Sbu's future plans for GH are, or if he'll be back, but if you have to say goodbye to a favorite character and give a measure of closure to a supercouple, this is the way to go about it. This last period of time with Jasam has been nearly perfect: from Jason's redemption through finding his son, to their quiet bonding moments with Daniel, to Jason and Sam saying "I love you"--and to them finally putting their wedding rings back on-- has been lovely and bittersweet.

From now on, when I hear that an actor wants to leave, I'm not going to say, "don't let the door smack you on the behind...," because I always regret it. Steve Burton will be missed.

I am glad the Sam/Jason -lovefest is almost over. I loved the baby switch storyline but this lovey dovey thing is getting pretty old pretty quick.

There is (has to be) a more powerful explanation behind Duke's behaviour. However, the more he does, the harder it will be to redeem him.

Cartini would NOT ruin him forever - would they?!?!

I was hoping it wasn't true but I figured it was. I only wish that Jason had found it that Daniel really was his son. I can't wait till Sonny gets Duke now.

@ Karissa. Yeah AJ would have been a horrible father but Michael would not have been shot in the head or raped in prison!

The last scene had me in tears. WHY THEY KILL OFF JOE JR!!! I so wanted him for Tracy. You don't have two ppl with that much chemistry and not do something. THey could have redeemed Joe somehow. Luke is busy with Anna and Duke so where that leave Tracy? GH is pissing me off so much. I understand SB is leaving but can we have just one Alexis/Shawn scene? What about Molly and her boytoy? Alexis and Molly are not just there to pimp Sam and Kristina.

I'm over Jason. Once McBain came and the chemistry between him and Sam made me forget about JaSam (I was never a fan anyway). I am so in love with McBam. So when he was shot, I was happy. Finally a bullet that was able to take down Robomobster. That sucka has been shot 50x.

Besides my jubilant feelings on the departure (at least for now) of Jason, I did want to mention one odd thing about the dock shoot-out scene. If you notice, Jason was shot from the rear left side, using our (the tv viewers) vantage point. Did you notice Duke emerged from the rear right side? Maybe it was actually someone else who pulled the trigger, and Duke was there just to oversee things. My first thought of who pulled the trigger was AJ. Also, I don't believe it showed Duke holding a gun.

I must say Carly looked soap goddess fabulous! That hair, that dress! Moving on..Patrick,who? Duke is my everything at the moment! Epic! Jason deserved a more horrible ending, but I'll take it! Delightful! Duke is a boss! I wonder if Shawn played a role in this? They to make it seem that way at first. He does know Jerry and Alexis loves criminals. Duke and Luke...I'm starting to think that neither of them really wants Anna. All that tension, seems more like they want each other. Not that I care who or what Duke does at this point,I love him. At least until he brings Robin back(sorry Perkie).

@ stefan you may be right. Duke may not have actually done. I Just loved how he stepped out of the shadows like a bad ass. If its AJ,even better.

Yes, I thought it was staged so that the viewer would think Duke did it, but that if they have to go back and change the plot, they can say Joe Jr. briefly came to and did it.

Todd can give Jason some tips on how to get shot, land in the river, and emerge unscathed. It just happened to him...what, a year ago?

I was relieved when the Starr kidnapping thing was cut short. We OLTL fans used to set our watches by the frequency of her abductions. I would have died laughing if her response to the situation had been "Oh, lord...not again! I thought I had left that behind in Llanview!"

I haven't been much of a Jason fan in quite a while but I think his "death" was really anti-climatic. We've seen Jason in more dangerous situations than an unnecessary shootout at the docks (when he should have shot Joe Jr. upon seeing him shoot Bernie_ no need for standoff!) I felt nothing at the sight of Jason lying lifeless. I was more concerned about Joe Jr.! Damn, Tracy won't get a man. Bernie's involvement was stupid. Why not transfer money to Duke directly versus the messiness of involving Kristina, Trey and Joe Jr.? Clearly, Sonny trusts Bernie to manage his wealth and does not keep a close eye on things. Lame.

I am not enjoying Duke being the evilest of all evils. I am holding out he is an imposter or brainwashed (which would make this return complete with flashbacks unnecessary.) I hate all of this propping of Luke as Anna's savior. I wish I got more of Anna's perspective. She's conflicted but I feel that Luke's POV is prioritized over her own. An Anna/Duke reunion doesn't feel big and epic, so I am assuming he is an imposter.

I enjoyed Lulu/Dante and Carly/Todd over the last two episodes. I hope Lulu is not infertile as result of her abortion in the mid-2000's. If so, that would be a terrible message to send to viewers.

I can't believe they are writing Duke so dark. Why does he want to get involved with the mob anyway? Because of the money? It won't bring him in Anna's good graces. Not to mention that he's keeping from her that Robin is still alive. I don't get Duke's endgame in all of this. It's like RC has chosen Duke to be the new supervillain who does all of these disgusting things. I get that you can change through a life in prison and everything ... but for me it feels like the character of Duke is just used for plot.

So Jason apparently dies after being shot by Duke!? I have to say for a character of 20 years it was pretty much the stupidest exit the writers could have chosen.

I LOVE that Diane is back! Love

Don't like that Todd continues to lie and that the story is dragged out a little bit more because of it. Todd not telling the truth just lets also this Connie/Johnny mess continue, which could easily be salved.
Todd could even make a deal & get the police department a three-time murderer for his freedom.

I'm happy that Joe is gone. Steinmetz had chemistry with Jane Elliot but that was about it. As a character Joe was pretty pathetic.

As a Jasam fan it was very bittersweet episode. I was happy to get that dose of family bonding for them. Of course I wish I could have gotten a sweet loving pregnancy storyline but I will take what I can get. It's a sad ending for me because I love my Jasam but it's SBu choice so I wish him well. I am excited to see what comes next with Sam and the baby. I have a feeling we will get some great scenes with alot of my faves and whats left of The Morgan Family..

tealita & JASAMMABBY - I love both of your beautiful, sensitive comments and I totally agree about how wonderful the Jasam family scenes were!! Love

The Jasam scenes were beautiful and very touching!!! I loved them taking family pictures, making love, putting their wedding rings back on, reminding us about the dragon and the phoenix!! I'm so sad to see my Jasam family come to an end but I'm happy for Steve Burton. He's been wanting to take his family to Tennessee to live for many years and he's getting the chance to make his dream come true. We should all be that lucky! I wish him and his family all the best and I hope he has great success in whatever he does next!

I'm not worried about Sam. She's always been a survivor only this time she has a large family and friends to help her. I expect to see a lot of Davis girl scenes and hopefully scenes with Monica as well. And I know Spinelli will be a very involved godfather. I expect to see Michael, Sonny, Maxie and even Carly stepping up to help. Sam will not be alone! And if after time has passed TPTB decide its time for her to have another man in her life, I know that John will be waiting. As much mad hot chemistry that KeMo has with SB, she has equally but different smoking hot chemistry with ME!!!

As for Jason being shot and maybe killed, the sooner Duke dies the better!!! Angry

I'm so happy that scum Joe Jr is finally dead!!

I can't wait to see how having a Quartermaine heir effects ELQ! With Jason presumed dead, and Edward's death happening soon because of JI passing away, I'm betting it effects it a lot! It will be fun to watch how Tracy handles what that could mean for her and ELQ, especially knowing that she and Luke changed Alan's will!! There's no way she could have changed Edward and Jason's wills! And with AJ returning from the dead and who knows what other Quartermaines will be returning for Edward's funeral, the fun is only beginning!!!

Thank goodness Luke recognizes something is off with Duke! Come on Anna, you're way too smart and way too experienced with this kind of clandestine stuff not to see through him and his shenanigans!!!

Carly Carly Carly... John is right. You are being snowed!! Carly used to have much better instincts when it comes to men being deceitful! I think she is ignoring her gut instincts with Todd just like she did with Johnny which is sad. Johnny was not the right man for her and Todd most definitely is not the right man for her!! She does not need someone who's a convicted rapist, serial kidnapper and murderer as a love interest!!! I hope TPTB bring Jax back ASAP!! LW was looking fabulous!

I'm looking forward to the Lante trying to get pregnant story but I hope they don't blame Lulu's inability to get pregnant on the abortion she had years ago. That would send a really bad message to women everywhere, especially with what is going on in politics in the real world! I think this is going to give JMB and DZ some really emotional stuff to work with which they will be great at!!

Yeah, sassy Diane is back and looking good!!! I can't wait to see Diane and Alexis together again! Party

As much as I hate the character of Jason, I would actually prefer that. I never cared for SK's version of AJ (Billy Warlock was my guy) and I don't want to spend the next six months with Jason's possy wailing over the loss of the holy hitman, so SK as a Jason recast, I could probably tolerate as the lesser of all evils.

I wonder how Alexis will feel about friend Diane having Todd released, considering he may have helped kidnap her grandson. And who would have hired Diane on Todd's behalf??

That has definitely crossed my mind. I'm not sure how I really feel about it. I sort of remember him as AJ. Lookswise, it couldn't be a better fit though. It's just not Steve. Sad
