First Impressions: Eileen Davidson's Return as Kristen DiMera to Days of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives has a lot riding on Eileen Davidson’s return as Kristen Blake DiMera. She first reappeared on our screens on October 11. However, it wasn’t until Friday, October 12 that we saw her response to Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) entreaty. What are your First Impressions on the return of Kristen DiMera to Days of Our Lives?

Eileen and Joe Mascolo do great work together. They had some of the best dialogue I've seen on this show in years.
I love how snarky Kristen was in their conversation. Something tells me she will not be doing charity work when she gets to Salem.

Kristen Dimera was my absolute favorite growing up when I used to watch with my mom after she got home from work. I haven't watched Days consistently in more than 5 years.. but Days is back on my DVR, i could not be more excited for Kristen & Eileen Davidson's return. Don't screw it up DAYS!

Words cannot describe how much I FLOVE the fact that Kristen DiMera is back on my screen. It is exactly what DAYS needs right now (and boy does it need all the help it can get!)
I loved the Kristen/Stefano scenes, it was done just right, with Stefano first calling someone mysterious, then showing her from the back wearing this kind of hat that ONLY a villain wears. Then the camera slowly panning up to reveal Kristen's face.
And also loved how bored she was at what Stefano is suggesting! LOL.
"Especially the new one, what was his name - Brad? Chad? What kind of a name is "Chad" anyway?"
When Stefano said how much he needs her to put the family back together, she says: "It's just not that important." LMAO!
Loved it!!! Now please DAYS - invest in HER and this storyline! Pretty please lol

Love Eileen Davidson and she Ashely Abbott to me, but I do remember when she played 5 characters in the 90s. I hope we see the crazyness of Susan and Kristen. Last week shows she was sitting down with Stefano...I want drama and action.... Bring it on Days and if you f'kd up send her back to Genoa City....

Are you kidding me?! She was treated HORRIBLY at Y&R! The last time she had DECENT front-burner exposure was in 2008 when she came back, found Victor and they remarried. Then all the horridness with Adam began and Ashley was backburnered again. The only time after that she was front-burner was when she faked hitting Tucker with her car and faced jail-time.
And yes, there is now new EP and HW at Y&R, but SO WHAT! The damage has been done. You can't un-do it. Y&R doesn't DESERVE her anymore.
Eileen is now the happiest she has been in a long time at DAYS. There she is treated with respect. Her character is front-burner all the time, and they are building much of the show around her. I hope she helps elevate DAYS' numbers and continues to enjoy her time there for a long time!

I am beyond excited to see Kristen back in town, and I'm looking forward to seeing her shake things up. I can understand where they are coming from with the hat; it's very dramatic and such a soap opera thing to do, so with budgets what they are I'm willing to overlook that it actually looked a little cheap to me. I do really hope, though, that they will acknowledge that everybody except Stefano is supposed to believe that Kristen is dead. They had a funeral and buried Penelope (who also wore a fabulous hat!) believing she was Kristen. Bringing people back from the dead is a soap opera cliche, but the audience knew that Kristen was alive, and I think that after waiting for so long we deserve a big reveal and some gasping that she is not really dead. Overall, I'd give the return an A, because I'm just so excited to see it finally happen.
