Which show do you think was the Worst Soap of the Week?
Does there have to be a Worst Soap category? IMO, all this does is promote endless negativity and useless bitching.
Why can't there just be one for Best Soap?
So Nicole picked a fight with Jennifer at the top of a staircase, provoked her, essentially tossed herself down the stairs and now is gonna blame her for her miscarriage?
Wait a minute, where have I seen this EXACT same story play out on another soap in a WAYYYYYYYY more intriguing manner? That would be May of 1997 with the divine Cynthia Watros and Kim Zimmer on Guiding Light.
If DAYS is gonna try to copy one of the BEST stories in soap opera history, they have already failed dismally. As good as Ari Zucker is, this story is a flop!
If Eileen Davidson weren't coming back, I wouldn't even give this show the time of day!!!
ITA w\alstonboy4315 if DOOL is recycling stories and it does seem to be a carbon copy of GL's Reva\Annie story please make sure you're hitting the beats. I haven't watched DOOL since Feb but read the spoilers. The big difference is having CW & KZ. Two hardcore amazing actresses which MR is a weak link in this story but AZ is strong enough to carry the story. There isn't a good backstory as were on GL. Yes it was over a man Joshua (Daniel) but the prior year before the Annie's setup on Reva was Annie's desent into maddness. Annie's pill addiction, Annie's manipulation of people (doctor)out of desparation to keep Josh. Annie's lost of love toward her from Marah & Shane because Reva was back in their life. Annie was a good a good step parent and was getting close, Sarah dying pulling Josh & Reva closer again as Josh went with Reva. It started with Annie in her mind she needed a child to keep Josh and Josh wasn't keen on the idea and problems had been rising between Josh & Annie for months. Annie planned the Reva setup at a party so there was many witnesses. Everyone knew the contemp each woman held for one another. Annie used the party to her advantage. DOOL's what I've been reading isn't doing that and the story will fall flat.
First of all, I agree with Soaparmeggedon. With four soaps left, it seems wrong to still be finding "a weak link".
I loved the scenes on DAYS featuring Caroline and Bo this past week. These are the types of stories I love to see in daytime. Nicole has always been shady and manipulative. I am not surprised she staged the scene at the Horton Town Square. I disagree that Melissa Reeves is a weak link. Reeves has always committed to story 110% and Jennifer has been a fan favorite for decades. Jennifer hasn't truly dealt with Jack's death, so I am not a bit surprised she is all over the map when it comes to Daniel. I have high hopes about Kristen's return. I am enjoying Salem just as much as I was at this time last year.
I caught Friday's B&B episode. I do not want to miss one moment of Susan Flannery's final story. Stephanie Forrester is one of the best characters ever to appear on a soap opera.
I have to chime in again and say that after seventy years, there's probably not a story left that soaps have not told, so it's to be expected that some get repeated by various shows at some point or another.
If executed right (Please God!), this story on Days about Jennifer and Nicole could amount to something really watchable. The Hortons remain at the heart and center of this show so this a golden opportunity to feature them.
Sorry but the Jennifer and Nicole storyline is an Epic Fail. The writers made a misstep they should have had Nicole have the baby then there would have been more interesting storylines for those involved. A major custody fight between ej and Nicole which would bring in Rafe and Daniel who are trying to keep a secret and then you have Sami backing Rafe and Jennifer butting in you would also have Justin as ej lawyer. This would be more interesting than the crap they are playing out. I stopped even trying to watch this show all it does it makes me miss All My Children and One Life To live even more. Now at 1:00pm I watch TBS
