Well there you have it ... Y&R can do good promos. It's about time.

Isn't it just a rumor that Abby dies? I haven't read anywhere that it's been confirmed. I actually just read it by some Chadam fans - who also believed that Sharon is going to kill Chelsea's baby - that she'll kill Abby.

It's floating all over the boards. I don't want it to happen but i keep hearing it every freaking second so it must be true.

I like the promo.

What sets her off to burn the ranch? her next stop should be Nick's barn.

I doubt Abby is going to die. They would need to get Ashley for her funeral. I imagined her exit would be a visit to Ashley.

Adam being there for Sharon makes me happy. I have missed Shadam.

soapjunkie88, once again I share your opinion about the promo! I really like this one. The last one was terrible.

Now as for the storyline,,, I've seen the first two episodes of the new regime, and I have to say I've noticed a difference in the style of writing and the scenes, and I honestly enjoyed it a lot more. Still a ton of MAB mess to clean up and that will take some time understandably, but for now, I found most scenes and dialogue felt more genuine.

Now what concerns me though is how this fire story is going to play out. I'm really hoping that before Sharon does it, we get a good long scene of her alone at the ranch, one that explains exactly why she has been acting the way she has since hooking up with Adam and everything she's done since and really make it PERFECTLY clear what has been going on in her mind and how it's now led her to the point of committing arson. Especially if Abby ends up dying as a result.

I don't think anyone will die in this fire.

Marcy Rylan's last taping date was Oct 3, meaning that it'll be the first week of November when we see her for the last time. And the fire is next week. I doubt they would keep her in the hospital for three weeks...

Why did they have to mix Victor having some sort of seizure AGAIN, into this? Let's just concentrate on the fire and forget everything else. I swear these days soaps do so much overkill. It easily becomes a mess.

It has been confirmed that Abby will appear on screen the last time, Tue Oct 23rd.

Which means, if Sharon torches the ranch by the end of next week... OMG. If they REALLY intend to kill Abby off....noooo it can't be. Can it?

I still think it's a play on words Newman could mean Adam's baby. I don't believe they are going to kill Abby. Josh said Victor loses EVERYTHING! Victor finds out he lost the NE and has a heart attack. He's heart transplant patient and I feel Josh has seen MAB's destruction of characters how they were written. I think he's doing umbellra arc of redempation stories so then Sharon & Victor will be back in character to move forward. Literally this time Jack wins EVERYTHING! Victor's power is muted. He still has connections but his power is taken away. The story will be Victor more humble and driven and yes a controling Victor instead of a vile Victor, to get back on top. I LIKE IT! It's dealing with a corporate SL in Y&R fashion. This has all vets part of each story. Nikki stands by Victor, the pressure a Nikki drinking again or maybe this time goes back to pills...who cares MTS does addiction to perfection.

The spoilers said that a "Newman" will die. That Newman will be Chelsea and Adam's baby as a result of the car crash they were in with Summer. So, Abby will not die at all.

Marcy's last airdate is actually October 23rd.

I am willing to ride for the new regime until shit gets to cray cray. I mean, the day Nikki develops an alternate personality and goes back to stripping, I'm done!

Bahahahhahah oh man, if GRANDMA Nikki Newman took up stripping again, I think I'd actually tune in instead of reading recaps. The comedy would be unreal!

This was a VERY well-done promo and I think I'm going to watch next week. Yet ANOTHER medical emergency with Victor is a snooze...but I'm ready for Sharon to go balls-out cray cray!

I am so hoping that with this week is the week that we see a dramatic change in the direction of the show. Although I don't want to see Sharon and Adam get back together I do love the idea of Adam having a heart when it comes to Sharon and seeing how Nick, Victor and the Newmans have treated her. I hope that Jack is another peron who comes to her side.

As for Victor falling... EITHER KILL OFF THE OLD MAN or just let him control things!

If Adam and Sharon are reunited (which I hope doesnt happen because I like Adam and Chelsea together) then I think they should put Chelsea with Nick (chick). I think they could be great together. It could also be a good storyline opportunity with Victoria having to deal with her brother being with the woman that she doesn't want around her son. I do not want nick with Phyllis and if Avery intends to have a relationship with Phyllis then I don't believe that nick and Avery will be together.

I hope Sharon gets the treatment she needs for her mental illness. Seeing her in meltdown mode makes me cringe.

Ummm....let's remember that Kill Farren Phelps killed off about 20,000 beloved characters during her tenure at GH. Tony, AJ, Alan, Emily, baby Jake...............

She would have NO qualms about killing off Abby. Of course, though I DESPISE the character, I believe it's almost as big a bonehead move as killing off Emily Quartermaine on GH. And without Eileen Davidson there to play the TRUE fallout of killing off the character, what's the point?

But I wouldn't put anything past this heffa!

I am glad to see Sharon unraveling. She's finally gotten a backbone and it's quite obvious that Sharon Case is having the most fun of her career.

Oh, hell no. Abby better not die in that damn fire.

If anyone right now ... I'd like to see Sharon rebound like a phoenix when she's done with all this craziness. I think Ms. Case she has the ability. She could be the heiress apparent here, not the incredibly annoying Phyllis as portrayed by the seemingly EB like Ms. Stafford.

I also highly doubt that Abby will immolate. If she does I'd be quite surprised, I think she's too major a character to simply not be able to be around anymore.

Abby will go off somewhere and come back as a different actress. I really enjoy the actress and character. I think we need a break from The Naked Heiress in order to take the character seriously. As someone else posted, if Abby were to die, Ashley would need to be back and that won't happen soon. I for one hope Josh and Jill get Ashley back to GC pronto!!

I have a logistical question here. It looks like Victor is either unconscious or in a coma. If that's the case, how will Eric Braeden be able to have the last word in scenes he's in?

Tracey, omg! You have to tell me The latest I have heard is that she (Cooper Harris) tells she was hired by Genevieve, but she isn't. I just took that to mean she is hired by someone else (Colin, Jill?). But I am thinking as of late, that she is somehow connected to Ricky aswell. Who was the mystery person outside the window where Ricky died?

This is one storyline that needs to wrap up. I am curious to see who it is. I hope it's Isabella. Anyone else would be a yawn. But this surely was already written before the new regime. Feel free to divulge!!!
