General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Lulu wonders what’s going on, but Connie assures her that all is well. Olivia explains to Dante and Steve that Kate wouldn’t throw out the hankie. She wants to tell Sonny that something is up, but the guys stop her. Olivia overhears Steve tell Dante that he might need to send her to Shadybrook if she continues with her episodes.
Max assures Sonny that their men are in position. Joe will not be getting near the boat. Joe’s grabbed Kristina and brought her to the coffee warehouse. He has her call Alexis to say that she isn’t coming to the wedding because she fought with Trey. Joe tells Kris that he’s Trey’s father.
Kristina warns Joe that Sonny will come after him and asks about the ransom. Joe says he’s not after a ransom, but after everything Sonny owes him. He’ll get it when she’s dead. Joe tells her that Trey will inherit everything as her husband and everyone will think it was another of Sonny’s enemies.
Alexis tells Sonny that Kris isn’t coming and is hopeful that an annulment is next. Carly wonders what’s going on with Johnny, but he claims all is fine. Ellie compliments Maxie on a job well done. Maxie realizes she can’t hate her. Dante tells Lulu that his mother thinks something is off with Kate. Lulu admits to weird behavior between Kate and Johnny.
Trey arrives at the wedding, looking for Kristina. Michael says she isn’t there. Trey feels he needs to find her and heads out to the lake house. Alexis wonders why Sonny seems so nervous. He says he needs to tell Kate the truth about Trey and is worried she’ll relapse.
Liz tells Jason that she thought they had a chance and that the results she gave him were for another child. Jason asks if the lab made the mistake. Liz admits to changing the results and gives him the correct ones, which show a DNA match of Tea’s baby to Sam.
Jason wonders why she lied in the first place. Liz says she thought about the other mom, who had the baby for four months, raising him and loving him. Liz felt she didn’t deserve to have the baby taken from her, just like Liz didn’t deserve having her baby taken. Liz says Sam watched Jake get kidnapped and let them lose their minds with grief, when she knew the whole time and didn’t say a word. Jason wonders if this was payback.
Liz says she’s tried to put it behind her, but that she also didn’t want Jason with Sam. The baby would have brought them back together. She tearfully wonders why they couldn’t have their chance. Liz admits she’s been losing her mind since Jake’s death, trying to recover on her own and letting time heal. However its only gotten worse. She thought Jason would make it better and fix it. She realizes that it wasn’t fair to ask that of Jason and apologizes. Jason says he understands about making mistakes, but that he needs to fix this and not to tell Sam about the baby. Liz tells him to be kind to Tea, since he knows what it’s like to lose a child.
Sam stops the kissing with John saying she ended her marriage yesterday and there’s no rush. John says he doesn’t’ want to complicate her life or cause pain. Trey arrives, looking for Kristina and leaves her a note. John leaves and then gets a call from Jason to meet.
Trey goes back home and finds Kris’ bracelet, but no Kris and realizes his father has her. He heads to Joe’s motel room and worries where Kris is.
Jason tells John that there was a mistake with the lab results and the baby is a match to Sam. John worries about Tea.
Liz shows up at the lake house to tell Sam that she lied about her and Jason being together. Sam says she saw them kissing. Liz admits that Jason told her they didn’t have a future and that he belongs to Sam.
The wedding begins and the judge says his piece. He ask if anyone objects, so Olivia says she has something to say. Steven deflects her, so she ends up saying Kate is getting what she always wanted in marrying Sonny and wishes them all the happiness.
The judge asks again and this time Milo stands up to object, but Max reassures everyone that he was simply caught up in the moment. The judge asks a third time and this time; Kate says she can’t marry Sonny.
Sonny asks what’s going on and Connie says she can’t marry him because she’s already married, to Johnny.

I guess you missed yesterday's show, where Liz said she was prepared to do exactly that.

Hi May...while I respect your opinion and passion for your couple...I will never agree with your assessment of Liason. To each their own...Different strokes for different folks...etc....I actually liked Jasam01, and EET will tell you, I actually like Sam... I also love McBam.
The show has a lot to do right now, tying up the loose ends before SBu leaves...Ron C already said on Twitter, he would not have had Liz do what she just did, if not for SBu leaving....and Liason fans were finally going to get their couple...so it is what it is...A soap...and soaps are notorious for their schizophrenic flip flops with characters. They really needed to bring Jasam back together fast because of his departure. They had to tie up this baby story...so that is why Jasam fans are reaping the rewards right now. All I know is that Jasam fans seem to be very jealous of a woman that Jason supposedly never loved....That says it all in reality.

I'm sorry, but I always laugh at this suggestion that JaSam fans are jealous of Liz. Why would I be jealous of Liz or Jiz? They never got a relationship. Their child was killed, and it was Liz's fault. Every time Liz has pathetically chased Jason down, begging for sex or a chance to be with him, he's turned her down. And yesterday was the final nail in the coffin. It was clear in Jason's non-reaction to her tantrum yesterday and in her scenes with Sam when she FINALLY, after all these years of rejection and making up a relationship with Jason in her head, that she said she and Jason would never be together. She finally gets it. Liz begged Jason for a reason why he never gave her a chance yesterday. Did he tell her it was because he loved her so much that he couldn't risk her life? Did he tell her he's never thought he was good enough for her? No. He brushed her off. Because it finally dawned on him and her that his danger crap was an excuse and that he actually would fight for the woman he loves, which is what he's doing with Sam. I get that people see things different, and that's how I see it. But jealous of Liz? Hilarious. Liz looked like an absolute loon yesterday. She made an utter fool of herself and Jason just pitied her.

First of all, RB rocked her scenes. It is rare for an actress to do the ugly cry and still be beautiful. I felt her emotion, even though the story rang hollow.
Why did it ring hollow? It is a matter of preference. When it comes to story beats such as this, I prefer build-up in advance, rather than explanation after the fact. I mean, even in a whodunit story, most of the viable suspects are seen in advance having a reason for "doing it". I think about Matt being the one that killed the Ford daddy on OLTL, and that is how I feel about Liz's explanation.
Was it a good one? Sure. Is it reasonable? Sure. So why is it still hollow? I am a rather new GH viewer. I began watching when Krissy was a punching bag - that is the story that finally drew me to GH. Since I have been watching, I have never seen Sam's actions addressed on screen. I have seen in on the boards, but not on screen. Further, I have not seen Liz show any interest in Jason - although gratefully, they have been showing their connection recently. She has had a few scenes with Sam, and in those scenes, I never saw Liz display any ill will towards Sam. So to me, having her do something this drastic out of anger for something that Sam did in the past...is a bit out of left field for a viewer in my position.
She went from having a connection to Jason....to changing a DNA test to keep Sam out of his life, even though last week and the week before she was well aware that Jason still loved Sam. Given how she made assumptions about Nik with Brooke, I could buy that as her sole motivation...but it wasn't.
Then you throw in her sympathy for Tea...which is a ?????
It seems that so many reasons were thrown in the mix, that it confused the issue for me.
I hate to say this...but I think they should have left Sam's past out of it. While it is valid, there was no buildup or evidence of it and it seems like she used her real pain as a scapegoat. There may be some new viewers that started watching when OLTL was cancelled...and those that aren't on the blogs who are wondering what the hell did Sam did and when????
So yeah...hollow.

I hate Liz. She is a whiny baby.....get her off the show....
SO why do we have no scenes with Felicia and Mac? She comes to town and they get back together and we just accept that? We need to see them and we need funny Coleman back....love Ellie and if she IS working with Duke, I ain't happy...
Connie is funny but it's ridiculous that people can't figure it out....

I haven't read all the comments yet, so i apologize if i repeat a thought.
1st - there were several top notch performances yesterday. KS is fun even if i like MW in the role better. BB plays conflicted hero-villain like no one's business. And then there was RH. Her delivery was spot on.
2nd - I do not understand why anyone thinks Liz's actions and her subsequently quick confession were anything but in character. She has always been a knee-jerk, selfish, passionate person. I mean no disrespect when I say "selfish." Without rehashing her whole history, Liz has had the capability to go after what she wants (or thinks she wants) and still take care of the people she loves.
I also don't think it villainized Liz. I think it proves my point of view about being selfish (not wanting Jason with Sam) and compassionate (considering Tea's feelings even if it was a mere extension of Liz's own sense of loss).
I also don't see how it made Sam anymore sympathetic. How does reminding everyone about Sam's own lapses in judgment and, yes, character, make her more sympathetic?
Both women have had many major losses and lost their minds and their ways bye making some horrible choices.

Couple of responses to folks
777 - I think jake was missing on screen for a couple of weeks but GH time was only three days (not that three days is not a big deal in and of itself). There was a scene that I watched a bit of yesterday with sam and jason when sam talked about how those three days hit her - that she did something in a moment of weakness and then was overwhelmed with guilt and fear and sorrow and that for her that was rock bottom.
Mayjador and Jasam great posts! I would only add one thought - yes jason was a little indifferent yesterday when everything came out which i attribute not only to the lack of fire in his belly for liz, but also his guilt (that he wasnt with her, that hes done nothing to help her grieve jake, and that hes not choosing her now) That said, we have to remember that jason STILL believes the baby is francos and that the child is safe with tea. When jason flipped with sam, HIS child had been taken by a woman he didnt know. Once Jason finds out that Sams baby has been taken by heather and liz's actions gave heather the opportunity, he is going to be a lot less forgiving, esp. if somewhere in this he finds out Sams baby is HIS baby. I dont think we have heard the last of jasons reaction to this and I fully expect once he processes things there will be some blowback.
TVGORD - TOO FUNNY! yep her entire backstory is out of character.
JBernard I agree with you that Liz came off at least somewhat sympathetic. I just think its funny that the same people who argue that sam did what she did during the SOS out of malice and had ZERO sympathy for the fact that she lost Lila, Hope and her ability to have children in the future (at that point they believed that). I have ALWAYS felt that losing a child is such a profound grief that yes it can drive you to do things you would not otherwise do. The difference is I dont just claim that for my gal, i extend that rationale to both women.
About the crying - i have to say that while i thought her performance was one where RH raised the bar over her norm, i wasnt moved by the crying. Ive always sort of thought that RH is way too concerned about being beautiful whilst crying - which she was - and that because of that the performance is less raw compared someone like say laura wright. When LW cries it seems to come from the gut and from the backstory, and she lays it all out in emotional scenes like this. Because I feel her concentrating on her appearance, it sort of reminds me that she is acting and that pulls me out of the scene. I also didnt care for her approach with sam, which might be from the order in which things were filmed. Here she supposedly had such regret about what she did and yet shes sort of gloating and snarky with sam about having pulled off the lie.
I call foul on the tea crap. Oh yeah poor tea, thats what liz was thinking. It would be one thing if this wasnt the story of two moms who BOTH desperately want the kid. If the mom was someone like connie (not kate) who was indifferent, I could see liz having sympathy to only one mom, but thats not what we are looking at. The fact that she played that card felt calculated. Also, as I said yesterday, i cry foul on the whole if sam hadnt watched maureen jake would be alive crap. Like mayjador said that is total bunk.

Going to add one thing about owning a characters misdeeds since that was brought up in both yes. and todays thread.
my favorite character is anna. Anna CLEARLY has a past. she WAS a double agent with all that entailed. The story as told was that being with robin and raising robin profoundly changed her, and basically made her in to the heroine she is today. What she might have been capable of in the past is dramatically changed compared to what would be believable now.
sam too has MANY terrible things in her past. She WAS a con woman with all that entailed. She convinced herself that jasons love changed her but that IMHO she didnt know what she needed at that time and jason only fulfilled some of that. She did TERRIBLE things during the sos and while her emotional state doesnt excuse or condone those things, its something i think explains why she did what she did. I empathize with the why not the what the same way i empathize with liz losing a child. That said, sam was changed by family the way anna was. Finding alexis gave her acceptance and guidance from a parent which sam longed for her entire life, and having molly and kristina viewing her as a role model too created a change in sam. We saw it with this breakup - where her reactions were calm and she even turned away john saying she needed to take things slow and not be reactionary. She has a foundation now with the davis coven that she never had before and that made gave her stability - that transformed her in to the heroine she is today. Do i own and see sams history - of course - but i also believe under certain circumstances characters grow, some more than others.

@mayjadjor- I love your posts!! I cosign on all of them
Sorry but I personally did not think Becky did a good job acting wise on those scenes. Whenever there is crying involved for her, she comes off as a child having a temper tantrum. All Jason could do after her confession was just look at her. I did not see any love, or any emotion toward Liz at all. For those Laison fans that are saying that Lasion was bet until SB decided to leave, I call not true. Based on the spoilers I was hearing they were never going to fully have their chance even before SB decided to leave. Liz bringing up Sam involvement with Jake's kidnapping and one of her reasons to not let Sam have HER baby was just so foul. How long ago was Jake's kidnapping again, and didn't Sam save YOUR child during the Karpov storyline!!!! If Sam had not been around and wanting to make things right with Elizabeth and Jason, then Jake may have well been burned up alive, because Jason sure could not get to him!!! Also, Liz knows Sam, but she does not know Tea. So you mean to tell me she has more compassion for a mother she does not know, over one that she does know who has actually tried to help your family? Sam also helped keep Liz's behind alive, while she was chasing after Jason, and determined to be with him no matter what, even if it did put her children in danger. So pathetic. I think Jason had nothing to say as well because he was just amazed at the person Liz really is. To keep Sam away from her child just because you also wanted Jason and the excuse the baby was happy with Tea. As a mother, how could you even justify that? I hope Liz goes to Shadybrook after this and receives the help she so desparately needs.

EET - the irony, of course, is that Sam and Liz are basically having the same stories and responding the same way and all the fans are adamant the responses and stories are both sooooooo different!
Both women had suffered the loss of a child, both women were/are jealous of what the other woman has (baby/Jason), and both made really stupid choices based on those feelings.
the only difference (besides Sam thinking she'd never have children) in my opinion is that Liz and Jason spent months driving Sam crazy by denying anything more than friendship (and by this i mean Jake, not an actual relationship). I know how insane one can feel when everyone keeps telling them to not trust your gut and you're imagining things.

EET... I believe Liz is still grieving for Jake but I think most of her motivation for hiding the truth about the DNA was the fact that she wants Jason and is jealous of Sam. I didn't believe her crap about feeling sorry for Tea, and I thought she pulled the Jake card because she knows it's her only leverage with Jason. If she went off about the kidnapping, what could he say? That she's full of crap? Of course, we all know that Liz forgave Sam for that years ago and had no problem with Sam being around Jake. Hell, she packed both her boys up and happily let Sam and Lucky take them camping because she was so eager to drop her pants for Jason in Italy. So, that rang false to me for sure. Especially since all yesterday consisted of a temper tantrum and meltdown, and what it all came down to was her obsession with Jason and anger that her feelings for him were never returned. Actually, it seemed like those scenes were more about Liz getting a clue and finally letting go than about Sam and her baby. Yes, RC said if SBu wasn't leaving, Liz wouldn't have switched the DNA. But this was always going to be the outcome. Liz was always going to have to face Jason choosing Sam over her in the end. And if SBu had stayed, it would have just given RC more time to give Liz the full on Marty treatment. Jiz would have probably had sex one night when Jason saw Sam with John or something, and that would have been Liz's motivation for going crazy.

@EET- I agree as well with Liz's approach. Why have the tears, and just be oh so regretful and remoreseful with Jason but AS SOON as you get to Sam, your true snarkiness and bitchiness come out, especially after YOU have done something wrong. This is why I cannot stand Liz!!

aww crap now I have to defend liz just a little.....mayjador I cant decide if most of this is about jake or about jason and thats part of why im not more critical yet. Having forgiven sam back in the day might be different now for all the reasons liz gave when sam was blaming jason for danny dying - that you dont want to face YOUR part in it. She might have been working up in her mind now for the last year that IF ONLY sam hadnt allowed maureen to take jake, things would be different. I think that gives her a way not to think about the fact that SHE didnt have locks on the door and SHE was distracted by yet another paternity test because SHE lied and cheated. We know that jake getting kidnapped was horrible but in the end really made no difference in what happened to him so many years later. I have to see what more comes out to know how much of this is jason and how much is jake. And yes, blackjack - thats what bothers me here, that I give liz credit for being a grieving mom when liz ffs on this board never considered sams grief in her choices.

Well, I think that's why we saw Jason so indifferent toward her and basically have no reaction. Nothing she said seemed to sink in with him or move him in any way. I think this idea that he has of Liz as some Robin type person, who always tells the truth and who is so giving and loving to others is a lie. Sam and Carly have been telling Jason for years that Liz is a manipulative, conniving bitch and he saw it for himself yesterday.

Let's be real, SBu went from caring about his character to just "doing his job" when JaSam reconciled back in 2009. In the most recent Liason scenes, Liz/RH did all of the work while Jason/SBu was probably thinking about packing up his dressing room!

First off I must say I will FOREVER see Liz as Jason's one true love. Their chemistry and their history is spectacular. Nothing anyone on here says can change that. Just as I will always see scam as the mob moll who has no business raising a child. But that is just me. I don't expect everyone else to think this way.
I haven't watched for a while and just recently caught up. I hate what Liz did. But I still love her. And I like that she confessed instead of dragging it out. Do I think that writing for RH has been spotty crap in recent years? Yes I do. Do I try to make an excuse for every little thing she does wrong? Nope. While I am not buying her tampering with the jasam relationship in such a way after being their number 1 cheerleader I like (in a way) that she has made mistakes that she has had to own up to. It makes her character more relate-able (obviously not everything she does is relate-able as this is a soap) and realistic.
And RH was fantastic as usual!

I will say that it stinks for Liason fans that they couldn't at least let them go on a date dressed up. However the scene played out how I have always seen the relationships of Jasam and Liason. There was Liz pouring her heart out and all Jason could do was stare and worry about Sam. Thats how it has always been to me. Liz going for Jason and Jason thinking of Sam. I must admit that for the last few months Kemo and RH have been doing the heavy lifting in the scenes with Steve..

I agree with what you said about the difference between JaSam and Jiz. When things are going well for JaSam, he doesn't even speak to Liz or think of her. Hell, she'll be ready to hurl herself off the hospital roof and be checked into a loony bin and Jason won't even call or check in on her. Her youngest son was kidnapped by HIS ENEMY right after his birth and Jason didn't even call her, before or after the fact. So, no, I don't believe this great hidden love Jason had for Liz when he constantly refused her a relationship and never claimed to love her until years later when she gave him an accidental child he didn't even claim. I disagree about Steve being checked out in his scenes. The scenes he's had with Sam, from their fights over John, to the night she moved out, to all the angst they felt when they ran into each other, to the scenes when they decided to divorce, Steve brought it every single time. I don't think yesterday's scenes showed that Steve was checked out and uninterested in the scenes. They showed that JASON was checked out and done with Liz. He had a few words of dialogue for a reason. He made no attempt to comfort her for a reason. He didn't touch her or stand close to her for a reason. Those are all directing and writing choices that have nothing to do with Steve. Those scenes were about Liz realizing she's spent 13 years being delusional about her place in a hitman's life. Today's scenes with Sam proved that too.

Not sure when his last air date is some say October 22nd, others early November...all I know the vileness that is JaSam will finally be over that's the good news. Unfortunately this storyline will be Steve's last. (Unless he comes back for a guest spot which he said he is willing to do at some point).
