I'll be watching because Joshua is such a stud muffin and also because Sharon Case has been taking shizz and turning it into sugar, making the horrendous storyline she's got herself involved marginally tolerable. But I cannot wait to see Josh Griffith take Sharon Collins Newman Abbott Newman Newman (I think that's right) to the edge of the cliff and even over it before restoring Sharon to the Sharon we all know and love!

Poor Shick fans...poor Sharon fans. Just another casualty of MS.

The LML & MAB years have been particularly rough for Shick fans like myself, even though they gave them another child together. More than that though, I miss the real Sharon, the emotional rock she used to be before they started to really mess with that in the writing way back in 2003.

I don't know what to expect of JG but my best hope is that he, at least, tries to repair the damage that was done to Sharon's character & the Shick dynamic.

It's weird that, after decades of heartache and bad behaviour, I can still accept Nikki and Victor getting back together, but I just don't see how Sharon and Nick can reunite after having their relationsip soiled by the red-headed menace.

SoapArmageddon ... But don't forget that Victor has taken Nikki back after having been married to Jack (his sworn lifetime enemy) and he will again. Of course Jack possesses something that Phyllis definitely does not possess, nor do quite a few others; a conscience.

Even Josh M today on the Talk said he truly believes the two characters really belong together.

When asked on The Talk today regarding Shick's relationship, JM stated "at the end of the day, they belong together." For some reason, I thought that he was in favor of Phick vs Shick.

Point taken, tedew.

Good writing can pretty much undue anything, but this HW definitely has his work cut our for him.
I've heard JM state on numerous occasions that Nick and Sharon belong together but I think people sometimes believe what they want to believe.

I'm going to be honest, I can't really understand the fanbase dynamic and why some people believe that on a soap their characters are not going to go through breakups and tragedies.
But the enmity between certain fanbases seems a bit OTT and I wonder whether it has ratcheted up in recent years because the writing is not fulfilling, so in absence of discussions of tantalizing storyline, people are reduced to squabbling over fictional characters. For example, I hear some people say things like "I hate So and So". In Sharon's case, it is particularly perplexing since her characters first name is the same as the actress'.
Good natured ribbing and jousting is fine but some of those messageboards seem scary in the way people go after each other about this couple vs. that couple. Yikes!

Nice analysis. Remember though that it is the fan base that keeps the show on the air. I'll use me as an example. I've always preferred the pairing of Nick and Sharon but loved the twist of having Nick turn to the red head after Cassie's death. Those two also had great chemistry. So it puts the viewer at odds and keeps them tuning in. I can't wait to see what the new head writer has in store. IMO Nick and Phil are done at this point.

I though much of Joshua and Sharon's interview was a joke. Why couldn't the hosts spend the time asking GOOD questions instead of the horny bitches fawning over Joshua and then playing some stupid game?

All the daytime talk shows would do themselves a favor if they regularly had soap stars as guests on their shows. It might improve their ratings and would make the soap fans happy!

After the promoted that CBS was doing on twitter for them I really hope the new team isn't going to continue to play with Shick fans but instead finally put Nick & Sharon back together, It's been 6 years for them. Enough is Enough imo!

Also I saw the tweet from JM that said that MS was upset by his comments about Shick on The Talk and to me she seems just as crazy as the woman that slapped him at the airport. Joshua Morrow is an actor not Nick and in the real world there is no Phick. Let the man move on so he can continue to support his wife and kids without the attitude.

Thanks for posting that here! Yeah MS seems crazy to get upset about an actor making comments about a pairing he was in for 10+years. I guess now I get why some fans can't separate what they see on soaps from real life because the actors can't do it either.

The first half of the visit will be used to list the number of men Sharon has slept with over the years. Make no mistake, Sharon is a serial whore - and it must be goooood, so many have visited that playground over again.
