General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Patrick apologizes to Sabrina for Emma’s behavior. Britt commends Sabrina in Patrick’s presence, but when he leaves she yells at Sabrina that she wants Patrick to herself. Sabrina imagines throwing food in Britt’s face.
Carly runs into Liz and tells her that she has no future with Jason. Liz doesn’t understand where Carly is coming from until Carly mentions the birthday kiss that Sam witnessed. Carly admits she was threatened by Liz relationship with Jason and knows he confides in Liz, but that it’s not a real relationship. Liz says Carly has no idea what she and Jason share and that she doesn’t believe what Carly is telling her. Carly warns that Liz will be hurt when Jason goes back to Sam. Liz points out that Sam signed the papers, but Carly says they both have to sign and want it.
Alexis asks if Jax has regrets about signing the divorce papers, but he’s more worried about Carly’s relationship with Johnny . He says she’ll regret trusting him. Alexis reassures him that Johnny is devoted to Carly, but Jax knows Johnny is keeping secrets. Jax questions her relationship with Shawn and promises to kick his butt if he doesn’t treat her right.
Sonny wants to understand why Kate would hire the Star for the wedding, rather than the Metro Court. At first, Connie says she wants the Star because its Lulu’s. Then she says she didn’t want the Metro Court because of what happened with Connie at his party. As Connie’s leaving the restaurant, she’s grabbed by a couple of men.
Todd asks Johnny what he’s done about Heather. Johnny claims his men have tracked her south and are on the trail. He says Connie needs to be dealt with because she has enough dirt to bury them both. As Johnny’s leaving his place, he’s grabbed by a couple of men.
Jason interrupts Carly and Liz. Liz says the DNA results should be back and asks if Jason wants to go to the hospital with her.
Johnny is taken to Sonny, who says they need to get things straight about Connie. Sonny says he won’t forget what they did to him. He says Kate has healed, but Connie thinks she’s Johnny’s ally and that Johnny needs to let him know if Connie reappears. Sonny says he expects Johnny to hurt Carly again, but he won’t use Connie to do it.
Connie’s taken to Todd. She angrily reminds him that she’s getting married tomorrow and that Sonny will kill him if he finds out. Todd tells her that he knows she’s Connie, Johnny caused the car accident and not her and that she needs to say goodbye. Connie asks if he’s planning on killing her. She realizes that Johnny must have something on Todd. Connie wonders what could be worse than causing a child’s death. Connie says if Todd kills her, Sonny will go after Johnny and wonders how long before Johnny gives Todd up.
Connie assures Todd that she won’t be saying anything because then Johnny will tell Sonny that she isn’t Kate. Connie will be sent to a hospital. She says Johnny needs to do what he’s told. Todd wants to know what she expects Johnny to do. Todd is impressed with what Connie tells him, realizing that it will also break up Johnny and Carly.
Carly runs into Shawn, who wonders why she seems sad. She mentions the divorce papers and that she’ll always love Jax, but now loves Johnny. Carly swears that Johnny is open and honest with her. She mentions Alexis and Jax marriage, which surprises Shawn. She plays it up but then admits that it wasn’t a real marriage. Carly asks if things are serious between him and Alexis. Shawn says he’d like to see where it goes.
Patrick apologizes to Britt and wants another try at a date. She says a friend cancelled for tonight, but he doesn’t have a babysitter. Sabrina overhears and offers her services again. Britt thinks Sabrina is trying to ruin her date again. Sabrina daydreams that she pulls Britt’s hair out, but then assure her that she has everything under control.
Jax gives Carly his copy of the papers and complains about her relationship with Johnny. Carly swears Johnny is good to her and has told her everything. They say their goodbyes.
Johnny asks Todd if he’s gotten rid of Connie. Connie comes in and says it’s not that easy to get rid of her and now he has to pay.
Liz brings Jason the lab results, but stops him before he opens them. She says it will be a long road in getting the baby back and wants to help him. Jason reads the papers which say the baby is not a match to Sam. He’s angry that he was so sure but was wrong. Liz says she knows he wanted to bring the baby back to Sam, but it’s over now and he needs to let it go.

WOW!!! So the RH/Liz FF's are blaming Elizabeth Webber's deliberate and premeditated actions on Sam and Jason being a couple!!! Talk about a pile of cow manure!!! That bitch switched the test results because she wants Jason and she doesn't give a damn if he's in love with Sam, married to Sam and has a child with Sam and has told Elizabeth more than once that he just doesn't want her like that!!! And she doesn't give a damn that Sam doesn't know her child is alive and may never see him again!!! It's cruel and heartless and exactly in character for Elizabeth!!! I can't wait for the truth to come out and for Carly, Alexis and Monica to learn what she did!!! I hope Monica fires her from the hospital permanently!!! And I hope when the truth finally comes out that Jason tells her he never wants anything more to do with her EVER again!!! Maybe he'll even threaten to kill her!!! That would certainly be karma!!!

No way in a million years would Liz keep a mother from her child. She is far from perfect...She has made many big mistakes...but this act of cruelty would never happen if the writer knew this character. Obviously this is plot driven and character assassination. I for one am so sick of it...I am this close to walking away from this show....just so sick of the agenda the current TPTB have in play.

kitty - First, how would Heather even know there was a test to change? Second, why would she take a chance coming back to PC when she knows all the police and half the town are looking for her. And third, she's playing nanny to Sam's baby in another city in another state. What did she do with Victor/Danny while she was driving (in a car that she doesn't own) from Llanview, PA to Port Charles, NY at just the right moment to change the results on a test she knew nothing about?

After watching the show...I am a bit on the fence. I mean really. I know that characters grow and change, and I would be welcome to a change. I just prefer to see the change happen rather than get whiplash. The comparison to checking herself into Shadybrook just doesn't hold water. Her character was at a crossroads at that time and they were still reeling from Jake's death. Now? I have seen no evidence. Her history with Jason has been recently, addressed, but they related to each other as caring friends. I saw Jax and Alexis today and saw the same dynamic. Jax would do anything for Alexis and was willing to die to save her like. Just like Jason was for Liz. There is no foundation for Liz suddenly seeing that as undying love to the point that Jason would want her if Sam or the baby wasn't in the picture. Until last week, Liz was portrayed as if she knew they were friends and that she knew he still loved Sam.
I have heard the tweets say that it will unfold later, but I'm sorry. I am about sick of seeing a character do something crazy, and then watching the story unfold after the fact...especially when usually the after the fact story ends up changing what I saw in the first place. Why get invested?
I liken this to the reveal that Johnny shot out AZ's tires. They revealed it...then went back to explain how it happened. The explanation made no sense as it relates to what actually aired when the shooting occurred. The result? I could care less.

i'm sorry but anyone saying liz would never keep a child from her/his parents isn't remembering liz. didn't she try to kill zander once she found out cam was his? didn't she have every intention of never telling jason about jake until she thought they were going to die? didn't she refuse to let jason be near jake even during their tryst/relationship? didn't she keep jake "safe" from jason after they ended their relationship?
whether she did this or not, she has shown she is absolutely willing to keep a child and parent apart.
additionally, if liz did do this, and liz and jason hook up or sam and john hook up, i put the blood on liz's hands. if the truth were out yesterday, sam would be focused on her baby. she'd be showing little or no attention to jason or john.

Is it just me or is some of the writing lately has just been plain stupid (Sabrina and Brit story especially, that came out of nowhere). Some of the characters, like Carly , who was always so strong and willful, is suddenly acting differently, as is Liz. I was watching some of Soapnets episodes from 2008 of GH, and as much as I hated some of Guza's and Phelp's shows, every once in awhile they would come up with these really great, outstanding Emmy-worth shows. I haven't seen that with Frank V. and Ron C. so far. Guza and Phelp's problem was they centered the whole show on Sonny, Jason and Carly, and it became too much of a good thing. I have been liking GH lately but somehow, I am seeing a weakness in the character and storylines lately.

I think the Liz fans are completely missing the point. They're USING her! They're finally using her for the first time this year, instead of having her be the wallflower of General Hospital. She's potentially getting some meaty material to sink her teeth into. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does with the opportunity, after months of being completely indifferent to her.

I think the Liz fans see a different point. We don't want Liz used in stories just to be used. We want her in great stories that are true to the character as she is now. Yes, in the past she didn't want mobster and mentally unstable Zander around Cam. Yes, in the past she kept Jake's paternity a secret for a while to protect Lucky, Jasam and Jake. But now, after having her son die recently, there is no way in hell Liz would keep a son from his mother. I think that if Liz did make the switch, she will tell right away. She is not able to maintain lies like this. Just look at how Jake was the worst kept secret in PC (and she told Jason the truth before the birth). Look at how Zander and Ric found out while she was pregnant that Cam was Zander's.
Even if she tells right away, though, I am still done. Having Liz villified in order to pimp Jasam yet again has pushed me to my limit. I will wait and see to make sure it was Liz, and then that is it for me.

We don't mind flaws, but we want the flaws to make sense. I would not like it if Liz cheated on someone, but I wouldn't stop watching because of it. Switching the DNA results is just too out of character. The only reason they are doing it is to prop Sam and Jasam. That, to me, is unacceptable. Soaps have always had good girls with minor flaws and bad girls with some redeeming qualities. Liz, Robin, and Emily (to name a few)have always been good girls with minor flaws. Maxie, Sam and Carly (to name a few) have always been bad girls with some redeeming qualities. JMHO

Flaws are one thing - like sleeping with Nicolas, or all the things she did to her sister back in the day...but there are flaws and then there is character assasination. Why would Liz believe that bringing back baby Danny to Sam would bring Jason and her back together...I think I would have even accepted if Liz found out about Jason being the father and keeping that information. That would make more sense than this.

not sure how this is pimping jason and sam, since at this point no one thinks jason is the father. he's just trying to correct a wrong not salvage his marriage as far as i can tell.
i do wonder if all the people who argued that sam's actions during the whole jake threatening/kidnapping debacle were purely in character are now the ones saying this is pure character assassination of their favorite? as a sam fan, i empathize with you because i had to deal with it several years ago.
the worst part is liz is just embarrassing herself because jason knows he's getting divorced, liz presented her case, and he told her he wasn't interested, not because of sam or her potential baby. jason said no because he didn't want to undo all the sacrifices made over jake or to dishonor jake's memory - that has nothing to do with anyone but jason and liz and the answer was still no.

I think the motivation is totally there for her to do it. It is obvious that Jason wants to be back with Sam and bring her the baby. Everything in the last two weeks show that he is totally focused on Sam and the baby. However he did lead her on a bit and kissed her and showed that yes he still digs her a little. At the end she basically told him to just let it go. So I could see her thinking if I can get him to drop it he will focus on me.
As Liz fans I feel for you. However I have endured years of reading Sam wasn't thrown under the bus for Liason-or I should be happy just to watch Sam however she is. I have read a few posters here always say Sam should be played as evil cause thats the only way they like her so suck it up. So it's hard for me not to say the same about Liz. For the record I am still not convinced she did. I have read at a few other sites that next week the final Liason scenes air. Does anyone know if that is true? If so I guess we will get the answers then..

Jason pulling the danger card with Liz over Jake, Cam and Aiden was pure hypocrisy since he was going to raise his baby with Sam, until he found out that Franco was the father. Sam was still a rape victim no matter who fathered her child due to the danger in Jason's life. Is Jason still planning on helping Sam raise the baby when he just told Liz it was too dangerous for him to be around her children?
The major problem with RC's story is that Liason and McBam are not together as couples with the standard love scenes or out pouring of love and then along comes Sam's baby, Jake, Natalie or Liam to shake things up. Jason went from pissing around Liz to mark his territory while given Ewen the evil eye to suddenly being all about Sam's baby. I have whiplash! Liz wanting to protect her child is one thing, but she would never keep another woman from their own child.

Playback is a hitch on rollerskates coming down an icy hill. A few years ago and JaSam fans lost it. I feel for you because it was character assassination then and it's character assassination now. I don't think that Liz has any clue whatsoever that the baby is Jason's so even if the baby were Sam's it would just give Sam HER baby back and Jason could move on.Besides wouldn't the Dna test have to match both Sam and baby daddy? Since the only one who can put Jason in the mix is heather then it doesnot fly.However Heather must have a connection in the lab in order to fake the original test. This would mean that Liz isn't directly responsible.
I am over the new character's and I resent that Jason Thompson has to endure this. I resent more that I have to watch. Please find a reason to get rid of them Soon!!
One other thing, "Connie " is killing me with all of the eye rolling and over the top antics. Wasn't Connie the one who fell in love with Sonny? What the hell? Makes me more and more sure that the so called rape by Joe Jr is a lie.
Btw to all of you who threaten to stop watching over the current Liz storyline, I feel you, I felt the absolute same waywhen Sam was the object of character assassination. Just remember, ABC is looking for a reason to cancel GH. Please don't give them what they want and lower the ratings. As painful as it is to watch your favorite character vilified give up this battle and aim for winning the war.

Blackjack -I agree on the aspect in regards to the conversation. If the supposed DNA switch came before Liz and Jason had the talk maybe I could see her thinking that keeping the baby away from Sam could possible make Jason give up on Sam...but they had the talk, they showed Liz being resigned to the fact that they were destined to bad-timing. The after the fact DNA switch would be ludricrous in my mind
Please know that I have often said that I never thought it was in Sam's nature to watch a child get kidnapped but since the deed was done I would always hold that against her. If this is how it plays for Liz I obviously can't pretend like she had a breakdown or anything. I have to make a choice and right now I am choosing not to watch until I know for sure.
Been screwed by writers for far too long and I have to hope that this is a red herring.

JaSammbaby thank you for your post. I totally agree and was thinking in reading this that we WERE told by some that hey keMO must LOVE this because it gives her something to play. Now that tvgord suggests the exact same thing some of the same folks are saying oh no, we dont want her used unless its in a certain capacity.
Raven - Im withholding judgement to see what the motivations might be and if in fact she really did this or its a total red-herring. That said, I guess the breakdown comment is a dig at me so let me address it. The difference is that BEFORE this moment we havent seen Liz doing something that suggests shes behaving in any way that is erratic or ooc nor have we seen something that might trigger a new incident. I DID give her a pass for a lot of the hospital stuff and stuff that went on post jake dying BECAUSE she seemed to have truly lost it AND for good reason. If suddenly we see a weepy liz kidnapping joss and saying no one should have their kid if I cant have jake and they PLAY it as her being so heartbroken over jake, then i might not like the behavior but I would be way more sympathetic. In 07, we saw sam struggling and we saw a progressive series of losses such that losing jason was sort of the last straw, instead of the sole issue. I think most people dont lose their mind over some dude (except for maybe taylor swift and then she just writes another song bashing her ex du jour lol) but it can be the last straw. Moreover her not instinctively saving someone, when she had every other time she was asked too, was so ooc that I dont know how else you explain the behavior unless its to just dismiss it entirely as the scab writers not getting the characters they were writing. IF Sam scammed jason as revenge or scammed sason as revenge then yeah thats was completely in her wheelhouse. Harming children not so much. Liz, conversely, also has a sizable flaw, just like sam conned and carly schemes, and that is a propensity to lie if it gets her where she wants to go. In that sense, this is totally in her wheelhouse.
