The Chew Goes Home With General Hospital's Julie Marie Berman

I've been telling y'all I heard there would be more synergy between ABC Daytime's The Chew and General Hospital. According to sources, this development is a strategic move to further strengthen Time Square Studios-supervised vehicles — and field off further encroachment from ABC News. (Buh-bye, painfully low-rated Good Afternoon America!)
Today The Chew kicked off a week of "Behind The Soap Screen" segments with a visit to Daytime Emmy-winning GH star Julie Marie Berman's (Lulu) home. I think this is hella smart of ABC Daytime's Vicki Dummer. CBS routinely uses The Talk, Let's Make a Deal and The Price Is Right to promote The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
While it will always sting that The Chew is sitting in All My Children's old timeslot, anything that gets our remaining sudsers even the teensiest bit of exposure, I'm down for. Watch the video clip of Berman, at home with her equally cute husband Mike Grady, below!

Hey, at this point, I hope that GH's extra exposure on the Chew brings the show better ratings.

It was such a treat that she let cameras into her home. And that chicken and basil pizza looked pretty tempting. I admit I'm one who is less than receptive to the replacement show that sits in AMC's slot, but I love the actress and her work so I'm going to support her where I can, even if I may be holding my nose while doing so...

I saw the show and really enjoyed Juliet's segment. The husband is a cutie and I was really surprised to see that she paints. They should try to incorporate that into the show since Lulu has no real ambition and needs some direction .,
As for the show, it wasn't that bad. AMC is gone and it ain't coming back so I am not going to hold it against the show.

Jamey continue to find out more from your sources. This is what was on a message board from a television news site.
"I was in the audience for GAA on Thursday and one of the stage managers mentioned their was "talk" at ABC of bringing GAA back permanently in January, replacing General Hospital. I can only assume this is true since he announced it to the entire audience, and the audience members seemed excited. Has anyone else heard this?"

ABC isn't stupid. As much as they would love to get rid of GH, it's been proven twice that replacing a soap ain't easy. If anything, they're better off axing "The Chew" and bringing back AMC &/OR OLTL. I'm sure that Vicki Dummer (with help from Frank Valentini) can recreate a cost-effective version of one or both shows.Starting off from scratch is easier than trimming the fat off a show. I just don't see "The Chew" lasting past 2013.

I DVR'd the show and only watched Julie's segment. It was fun to see where she lives, her husband and what she enjoys doing. I look forward to seeing the segments on Finola and Ingo too.

I love her. I still have cringe inducing nightmares about Brenda Dickson's 'Welcome to My Home' videos from the 80's.

I cannot tolerate the Chew. I don't think I can ever see a time when I will watch it. I canNOT stand any of them except for Dr. Oz's daughter, can't remember her name right now. They are are shrill and hyper to the point of distraction. And that fat-a$$ Mario is STILL in his orange Crocs...what a slob.
