Victor's Explosive [SPOILER] Rocks The Newmans on Young and Restless!
The Newmans: The socialite finally gets in contact with Mr. Mumbles, after Billy gives her Victor's number out in L.A.. Something about Nikki's voice is familiar to "Christian", however the call is cut short when an explosion occurs!
Nikki, who didn't realize why their call was interrupted, heads over to Newman Enterprises. Sharon is conducting a press conference, with Nick and Vicki in forced attendance. Nikki informs her children their daddy is on his way home. For the sake of the company, Vicki and Nick keep up with the plan to support their chagrined step-monster at the press conference.
At Restless Style, Nikki clues Abby in about her father having turned up. Nikki is confident her ex-husband will take care of Sharon himself, once he comes home. Billy arrives and squashes everyone's good cheer by announcing Victor's dead!
Don't worry. Just like a New York cockroach, Victor emerges from the explosion, this time with his memory in tact. It seems another man perished in the warehouse explosion. Victor decides its time he return home. Back in Genoa City, Nikki is beyond crushed about Victor's "death" and is brought to the ranch by Nick, to say her goodbyes. Nikki starts to reminisce about the first time she met Victor and the years they've shared. Kids, things go from bad to downright terrible for the Newman clan. "Victor's" body arrives in town before the real one can make it home to clear up the confusion.
Sharon is asked by the coroner to identify her hubby's body and realizes it isn't him. The slonkey feels Victor is send her a message: He'd rather take a dirt nap than to be stuck with her! A livid Sharon claims the body is Victors and has it cremated!
The Newmans are royally pissed after Sharon's latest stunt, since they won't be able to say farewell to Victor. Sharon then stuns all by saying she's going to marry Tucker pronto!
A grief-stricken Nikki goes to visit "Victor's" grave, and is stunned when the man himself arrives! What's going to happen with Sharon? Watch for Mrs. Newman to get a shock when her husband shows up at her wedding to Tucker.
Billy: The Abbott playboy's actions surrounding Victor's disappearance are going to have explosive ramifications for his marriage.
Paul: The gumshoe gets new evidence that affects his case.
Danny/Phyllis/Cricket: The rockstar returns and is uber mad about Red's hit-and-run. When he confronts his ex at the GCAC, Phyllis clams up. Cricket, Paul, Nina, Michael, and Lauren are all in attendance. Danny flips out on Phyllis, who fires back by saying Danny always has and always will take Cricket's side.
Nina: The writer has a showdown with Phyllis (THIS should be epic!).

These are some of the best spoilers for a very LONGTIME I must say. Victor is going to play dead with Nikki's help could be interesting twist. Victor could set up to bury Sharon|Tucker. The best is the showdown between Nina|Phyllis, bring it on! It's epic...go Nina! Team Nina all the way!!
Now, with Josh writing and this story won't be finished by the DEATH-WRITER of MAB...It could be a fun ride! Josh could infuse the story with more depth and better story-line!

Nina could be the next best rivalry to Dru for Phyllis. And that confrontation is the only thing I am willing to watch. It seems that we have seen Victor's possble death and return 100 times now. There is nothing that can be done to make this fresh.

I am happy to see Tricia Cast always, but I wouldn't anticipate too much. It's probably gonna be two scenes with some choice words and a slap.
Sharon. If she wasn't ruined 100 % before, she is ruined 120 % now. I can't believe they would make her act this way. It's just beyond horrible.

I agree with Coffee_Junkie in that I don't see anything penned by MAB as epic.
Amnesia in the first place. It sounds as though MAB got her stories crosses, because an explosion is supposed to give you the amnesia usually. I digress. This story is the biggest hot mess I've seen, it has a Passions quality to it and that is disrespecting Passions at this point.
Nikki and Victor. This is it. They need to be reunited in love, marriage and everything that is holy in Genoa City. I'm sorry but if Nikki has now screwed up her relationship with Jack to the point where she was chasing after Victor's old ass then they deserve one another. It's time for them to be together and be done. No more getting back together to break up - it needs to be DONE! Either Nikki is with Victor from here to eternity or else she is not.
Sharon! Sharon! Sharon! How we used to thee girl! Now she is just one crazy ass whore! They need the holy ghost of Cassie to come back and haunt her for lying about Victor. And then she goes and marries Tucker!? Is he even divorced from Ashley yet at this point? TRASH!!!!

The Phyllis storyline has deviated so far and so much from it's orginal intent that it doesn't even hold my interest - please, let's quit circling the airport and bring this one in for a landing!! BTW - Christine was NOT - repeat, NOT - a Federal agent at the time she was mowed down back in 1994. There is no basis for Phyllis to be tried for a Federal crime - more uneven storytelling by MAB.

Bartman202 I agree. I am counting the days til MAB's last script airs. I hope I never have to see that woman's name across my screen ever again!! It's been tough being a Y&R fan the last few years. All she did was dumb every storyline down.
On a side note anyone else find it interesting that Jill's name has not been shown as EP yet? Surely the current episodes were filmed post MAB. It's been almost 2 months since her firing. Maybe they don't want the new regimes names associated with the Maria mess. God knows I don't blame them.

MAB has had her moments. It's just a shame that the consistency hasn't been there. Looking forward to these. Last time I was looking forward to a story here was the Ricky shooting. Overall 2012 was better for Maria than last year. I know a lot don't like her on here, but at least she can go out with some good stories on the screen.

jthawk ... first of all Tucker did receive his final decree of divorce so he is legally free to marry Sharon (even though she actually is not).
Bartman202 ... you may be correct about Christine's position at the time (I can't quite remember exactly why they are using that angle), but the point is is that Phyllis did do the deed with complete intent and needs to pay for it. I am still concerned that she is somehow going to get away with it all with a small slap on the wrist. After all, Christine has somehow become the evil vengeful antagonist in this matter.
Did anyone else think it odd that Paul used his (suddenly close by) mentally ill sister to gain access to Daisy? Didn't he look rather silly skulking around the corridors searching for Daisy's sick bed?
All in all the above spoilers somehow do seem interesting in a way but it will be so much better when all is resolved and put to rest.
Of course it will be great to finally again see Nina in action and in action against Phyllis. More Nina please.

I don't think they wanted to overlap JFP being EP and Maria being HW. I think they formally had Maria credited as EP to the same date as she is credited the HW. That way Sony gets a clear date to set the slate clean.

Seriously put Nikki and Victor back together and just leave it alone! People can only reconcile so many times in their lives!
As for the ever changing chameleon on the show Sharon, maybe she is a clone or an evil twin of the real Sharon. Or maybe she has Multiple personalities. Which ever the case (sorry for the pun), please let it be one of them and bring back the real Sharon. The good mom and wife that while not perfect is not a complete trainwreck.
Now a good cat fight I can always go for. Go Nina and Phyllis. May the best one win (Nina of course).
I hope that the new PTB take notice that we love Nina. We would like to have Danny and Cricket back. We would also like it if Michael and Lauren would get story. What we don't want is a bunch of soras teenagers running around. Boarding school to them all!(channeling my best Jill Foster Abbott). Come back in five or ten years.

Ain't that the truth...Nina is a force to be reckoned with. But MS is intent on being written as a heroine, so you just never know. But if both characters are written true to character, then Nina versus Phyllis should be entertaining.

Hopefully when Victor proves he's still alive he can put him in charge of Newman. Then he and Nikki can celebrate their next marriage, retire and take a permanent cruise around the world.

As much as I know this is not how it's going to be written on several fronts, here is my wish list:
VICTOR'S RETURN & BILLY: I am going to go out on a limb and say that Victor sides with Billy and tries to talk Victoria into forgiving him. WHY? Because of the wisdom of Sister Bonnie Franklin. THrough all of her conversations when he thought he was "christian", Victor realizes that Billy was trying to help him even if he was doing a little payback on him for Victor doing the same with him.
SHARON: It's odd but the show sped this story up so much that all the actions she has taken just mean she will lose big time and seeing Sharon fall will only make us like her again. Let;s hope they write this as a breakdown.
TUCKER: I hope he is seen as the bad guy and arrested for all his illegal doings. He needs to be seen as the bad guy.
JACK: Although he has spent a great deal of money buying Newman Stock, let's hope that in the end it's not about HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY FATHER'S COMPANY BY BUYING STOCK from Nick and Victoria (since they both almost destroyed it with their 1/2 billion dollar each victory!), that he will now have the upper hand on Victor and his company is safe... WHY? Because he went into this deal with someone else whom we have not met and who turns into a love interest for him.
