Damn, these people look good!
Especially Madeleine Stowe - wowzer! Luv her.
Victoria Rowell looking fab...and someone tell me again why this woman isn't on Y&R again...
Sorry to say, I have to agree with you, about her looking good. I do not like her, I know she is not on any soap operas and do not understand why they show her picture, on this site so many times. I do know that she will never be on Y and R again.
Victoria, can I work out with you?! I need to get fit again.
Madeleine Stowe indeed does look stunning.
And Kamar de los Reyes...what is he up to these days? He should be on a screen somewhere!
America Ferrera is wearing a great color but I'm not sure sure about the style of draping around the torso.
Winsor Harmon looks like he his shirt is unbuttoned to his naval in that first pic...
Listen to me, playing fashion critic (lol) knowing full well I've made some curious fashion choice myself.
Well, Victoria Rowell has a strong personality and had the gall to stand up to the racism that we all know exists in daytime. When people do this, they are often times not liked sense many people enjoy the status quo. No problem.
Daytime Confidential reports on past soap stars and what they are doing. So that is why she is always on here...because she is always doing something. Besides, I think that many daytime soap fans loves Dru and Victoria Rowell...
my question is WTF is VR doing at the American Latino Media Arts awards? is she trying to pass for Hispanic now??!?!?!
girlfriend can not get a job on national TV for anything, so she shows up at awards show!
I am sure the REAL hispanics were doing a WTF look also!
she is a joke
Kamar is looking hot as usual....
It is no different than when Caucasians show up at the NAACP Image Awards. And I've seen African Americans attend the Latin Grammys so--
There is a picture of her and Eva Longoria chatting it up on the red carpet online and they look quite friendly. I don't think it caused a stir at all, people are more open minded than you are giving them credit for.
Don't you have to have invitations to these things. I don't think that anyone can just show up and walk in the door. So my guess is that she was invited. Maybe they are trying to use her celebrity to draw some attention to their event. From the pics she was tweeting, she was might close to the stage.
Yeah...everyone's talking crap about VR....but the real punch line is this: She got invited somewhere that NONE Of us in this thread did.
That's the punchline. LOL. Victoria Rowell is a very talented actress, and quite honestly the KEY to getting Y&R back up in the ratings. And I wouldn't go so far as to say she will never be on Y&R again. But yeah...whatever. The VR haters or "dislikers" whatever you want to be labeled always find the subjects where she's mentioned. Never really seen it on this site, but its definitely on some of the others....and it's just as laughable there as it is here.
I'm sure those who stand up for injustices are often disliked...i just never knew that doing something that should be admirable in the eyes of human beings would get them labeled and disliked. But....meh, its the crappy world we live in.
To STONEY 07, if she is so great, why isn't she on some series at night?
She did a two minute thing on Ghost Whisperer, that my 6 year old grand daughter could have handled and done better. I don't see her appearing anywhere and yet some people seem to think she is just so great. Beyond me. She is not welcome on Y and R though.
she was just on Single Ladies not even a month ago. She has two HIT books out. The woman is a talented actress, and regardless as to the behind the scenes stuff people speculate about...there's really no denying that the woman is a good actress. That's all I'm saying.
I just think it's funny that the woman spoke about things behind the scenes that we can CLEARLY see on screen as it pertains to the treatment of AA actors/characters. Yet she gets labeled "difficult". That's all I'm saying. Meanwhile, an old man that we can barely understand when he speaks get to speak out about every single thing on the show and has never been labeled. All I'm saying is, the set of Y&R isn't the only place where a double standard lives.
@yojoromo4469: If CK would have let her she would have developed the non-actress into a talent. But then I digress.
VR is over 40. She has had a long career. Most actresses over 40 cannot get the work they got when they were in their 20's and 30's.
Don't get it twisted.
@veyrone: Heck Jeannie Cooper's book she admitted to curing out Bill Bell on a regular over lines. So back up!
It's not even a question of whether one likes Victoria Rowell or not. The truth is that the show is better and does better when she is on it.
I've said many a time that Michelle Stafford is not my cup of tea, but I do think, when used correctly, her character is an essential part of the show.
Loved Victoria Rowell's dress..whimsical but very stylish.
Nicole Richey looks like she spent a weeks wages on black eye liner....and then used it all at once.
I doubt she was "invited" she showed up, like she always does
sorry but VR is a whack job
as for her so called "books" it is amazing what a good "ghost writer" can do for you!
Y & R was not "better" with her on it, it was better cause they had better writer's and PTB
everyone else looked great and I can see why they were there! VR not so much!
^^^Okay so this just seems moreso like a personal attack to VR, which is cool. But lets just call a spade a spade.
It has nothing to do with what VR brings to Y&R. It has everything to do with your personal opinion of her. And your mindset is the exact reason why Y&R's ratings are suffering. BEcause of a bunch of people who mix their own personal twisted opinions of a woman in with what's best for the show.
^^^^It just amazes me that some folks label a woman crazy for exposing racism...it's not like we don't have vivid evidence of what she says is true. It stares us in the face daily, does it not? But I say haters to the left. LOL...and may they stay to the side to hate on VR and in doing so hate Y&R right on off the air within the next year or two. Cause regardless of what some would like to think, without VRs Dru, not many black viewers find this show watchable. And without black viewers this show doesn't stand a prayer in soap hell of lasting. So, haters to left...and Y&R cancelled. Congrats haters! As for those on set, they are hating themselves out of a job. How ironic. LMAO. It wouldn't shock me to see some of those on set who hatered her trying to befriend her soon. They need a job.
I think MS is a decent actress by daytime standards. However, she chews lots and lots of scenery. Here's the thing though, MS can NOT carry that show. Her on every day with the ratings constantly tanking. I wonder if Sony got the memo.
LOL. Victoria Rowell was INSIDE the awards show, of course you have to be invited! In this post September 11th, 2001 age, one cannot simply walk into a large gathering of people and sit down.
Whether or not some may like her personally, she is an Industry person and has worked with many and has no doubt cultivated relationships with people outside of soaps.
And she looks fabulous on camera-- hell, I'm about to e-mail the woman for some workout tips because I want to have a bangin' body when I'm over 40 too (LOL). It's easy to maintain when you're in your 20s, you know what I'm sayin' But now in my 30s, it's getting a bit challenging and I don't have time to waste, but I digress...
STONEY07, I must agree with the fact that too many actors on Y&R make stipulations-- Peter B. doesn't want Keemo back on the show, Eric Braeden must always be seen this way, Christel doesn't want (allegedly) to work with that person, yada yada yada...
It's a wonder this show is still even on the Air (LOL).
Now I know why the same writers tend to go from soap to soap, no other writers would want to work under these circumstances where actors want to dictate so many storylines...what's left to write? A suggestion fine but giving a list of 10 storylines you don't want is ridiculous. Again, why I'd rather write for theater-- those actors are up for anything, and they have dropped the vanity. If this genre is to survive, these actors need to leave the past in the past and be up for whatever if it can help the show survive.
We don't all have to agree but let's be honest-- Y&R and the genre in general is struggling. Without some major changes (including a more diverse cast, reflective of the America we actually live in), I don't believe Y&R can survive. Just putting it bluntly.
