With the character of Melanie leaving Days, Maggie will need someone to mother. They should at least consider casting Marcy as Maggie's daughter Sarah.

Don't watch Y&R so I can't speak to if she is necessary or talented, however, that is a very classy statement so I give her credit for handling this situation with grace.
JFP is really going for it. I am starting to believe the rumors she is going after Steve Burton and Laura Wright, and my apologizes to Y&R fans but for the love of GOD TAKE SB AND LW please!!!

The y&r fans need to protest to keep her on the show like GH fans did for Liz..

I love LW because of portrayal of Cassie on GL. She was awesome on GL. We don't need SB, but I would possibly welcome LW in the right role, she spent almost 10 yrs. on CBS so CBS fans would know her abilities.

Oh hell yes! Thanks to all of you who for some reason thought that once Y&R got rid of Maria Arena Bell and replaced her with Jill Farren Phelps that Y&R would flourish. It's obvious that some of you didn't do your homework apparently on Jill Farren Phelps: if you had, you'd see that she certainly would not be the best choice for the new Executive Producer of Y&R or any soap for that matter; every soap she's touched, she's left a mark on it alright, and not in a good way. This is so typical of her, doing a butchering job of getting rid of talent for her favorites (remember, she's the one who endorsed Brian Frons and advocated for his job at ABC/Disney), and we haven't even seen a single episode produced by her as of yet. I was hoping she'd at least allow Josh Griffith to do his job as head writer but it is appearing she's up to her old tricks of micromanaging. GH, the only soap she touched that hasn't been canceled, did well under her regime in spite of her, not because of her. What was it that she said in another article, "I come in peace". Um, yeah, I'm not buying it.

I really wish that rather than apologize to Y&R fans that you thought of them instead. This attitude that General Hospital is the only soap that matters has got to go. It's turning people off, especially those of us who are interested in saving the soap opera genre. There are only 4 soaps left. We should all be supporting those 4 soaps in one way, shape or form.

Luvdasoaps...LUV da comments, and I have said the same thing. This decision was not a thought out one. She's a valuable character and actress and was generally liked. JFP will mess too much with the show where it doesn't need help. She says she wants it more "alluring"...

MR's character was irritating at best. She won't be missed. Next?
